Thanks Stu. It's certainly something that is worthwhile spending the time on to get right. As you know it should only have to be done once if it is done correctly. I suppose you are going to tell me you've got a hunting trip planned. Lucky bugger. Lock down has me videoing anything😂🤣😂🤣
Great advice Steve, can be difficult too get it right but well worth the effort , thanks for sharing, hope your travelling okay down there with the lock down.
@@BoltActionProductions Ive been working up some 87 v-max loadsfor my 243 ,just need to do seating depth ladder test and im good to go . Plenty of rabbits here in WA.
Cheers Robbo. That would have to be the best explanation for setting eye relief I've heard. I not long checked the zero on my rifle. I mostly hunt with it on 3 power and never shot game with it over 6 and mostly offhand shots , never prone. Only because the opportunity hasnt been presented. I did find i was having to adjust my position to get a good sight picture in the prone position on 12 power.Thinking i will make an adjustment after watching this. Do you think making an adjustment to the eye relief will change point of impact and require another trip to the range ? Keeping in mind I've never shot at game over around 200 yards and not ready to stretch it out to any great distance at this point .
Fukn love watching your videos mate ,now that we r in this shit situation hope to see more of you. I would love to see a real in-depth episode on scopes moa mrad ffp sfp illuminated all that and behind, cos I’m fukn struggling to understand it all
totally understand mate ,pls just keep us smiling with your videos I'll be getting on daz's case too , car window stickers that don't block vision ,will you be making those too?
If you weren't limiting the range to 200yds I would probably say the 7mm Rem mag. With the range you speak of the .308 will get the job done with good bullet placement. It is mild to shoot and efficient for its size. 160-170gr is the best bullet weight for the 7mm and 150's for the .308. Reloaded and driven hard in both these calibers they will work well. Brand of rifle for sambar hunting. When I pondered this question not that long ago I looked at all options and in the end couldn't go past the Tikka T3. The only weakness for me is the plastic stock but that is just a personal thing. After using my 7mm with the Carbon Fiber stock for hunting Sambar over the last few years I would still go the same way again if I had to. It shoots extremely well, hits hard, has more range than you will need in most situations, it is a pleasure to carry and doesn't break the bank.
Thank you Sir !! One of the clearest, most consise videos I've seen to date on this subject...you get rigjt to the point mate...
My pleasure Pete. I like to get straight to the point and try to keep the explanation as simple as possible. Thanks for watching.

Moving the scope in any format could alter the point of impact. How much is the question and whether it’s worth worrying about is up to the shooter
True. It hasn't been a problem while hunting. I'll look at it when I can get to a range next.
What ever happened to your Tuesday night live shows? Useful and enjoyable info always 👍👍👍👌👌
I think he has just been busy lately and hasn't had a chance to do it.
They may pop up again Louie. This work thingy keeps getting in the way🙄

Also very sorry abt the f bomb I'm a shocker in real life don't even know I'm doing it .but be assured won't happen again.
hey robbo, whats your favourite all round go to calibre (brand.of rifle) for sambar and what grain bullets do u use. stalking and out to 200yards.

@@BoltActionProductions Thanks for taking the time to get back to me legend!
Hi Steve , just a question mate , i want to reload for my 300wsm , would you use reloader 22 or 2209 for the Magnum cartridge ?
Shane Gibb. Mate I have never loaded for that cartridge so I am unable to provide you with any first hand knowledge sorry
@@BoltActionProductions No worries , thanks anyway Steve.
Would you need to re sight in your rifle after moving the scope?
Yes
Depending on your mounts you most likely will have to make some minor adjustments.
handy info Robbo
Cheers mate. It may help a few new to the game.
Burt is that you ???😲
😂🤣
