Same... have everything else pretty much done so grinding out small collectables like emblems from locations and all emblem variants from nightfalls. As well as random items like ships and sparrows I may of missed from things like ep.
xMCx 55 lfg is much less toxic than it used to be, I found a couple different groups a few days apart grinding anarchy until I got it, had a good time with them
Yeah two of my friends Purged their vaults and inventories of all things getting sunset for resources but several time they went to go use a specific gun but deleted it lol
I've been taking time to get all my catalysts finished while we have some downtime. I spent a whole day getting kills for acrius, tractor cannon, bad juju, sunshot, cerberus, sweet business, and more. Felt really good to see all those glowy borders at the end of it
@@FriezaReturns00001 the wiki says the catalyst "[can be] Found by defeating the enemies of humanity wherever they lurk." so, you just get it by killing enemies. it'll drop for you eventually. then all you need to do is grind kills. i recommend farming the Shuro Chi encounter of Last Wish
Two more things: The Sleeper Simulant catalyst requires you to clear the Oracle puzzle in The Whisper Heroic mission AFTER you get thousands of kills with all the IKELOS weapons. The Skyburner’s Oath catalyst drops from normal Leviathan encounters and is progressed by killing 1000 Cabal, which the best way to grind that out is on the Leviathan. Side note: the Hard Light, Graviton Lance and Sunshot catalysts also require 1K kills each plus a couple other requirements and again Leviathan is a good way to grind those out, though they’re not specifically against Cabal.
Graviton lance + Sun shot is TERRIBLE to grind out on Leviathan. For one reason only! It is demanded that you spread the AOE dmg to other enemies also. Leviathan doesnt have a spot for that Now Whisper mission is 100 times better for that.

I dont think its going away, I think they'll just do what they did with whisper. They changed whisper so that the normal quest is available for everyone, you no longer have to go kill the taken knight and enter the portal. So because they removed the prerequisite for whisper I'm sure they'll just do the same thing for zero hour.
It was listed on one of their TWAB's that the raid Exotics would be available "sometime during Year 4" so it's going to be a while, if you don't get them now.
Ifeel u dude. Had the same issue in the beginning, and im from Norway with an scandinavian accent ppl like to make fun of:) But just use LFG then try different fireteams and you will find some chill ppl . Its a lot of toxicity outt there but i promise you will find likeminded ppl. Good luck
As a guardian that enjoys PvE and can't stand PvP I hate the fact that almost every exotic quest makes you do PvP at least once in the grind. Also, I've had horrible luck when it comes to LFG in the respect that the couple of times I tried it for the raids, I would get Dbags that would rage cause I don't know the mechanics or flat out reject me for having no completions. It would be nice if there were several ways to finish exotic quests, you know like the steps they put in, do xyz or abc PvP.
Would be an absolute disgrace if they just put raid exotics in the world pool that a dumb idea. Not that I wanna keep then forever from players who for whatever reason can't do raids but they also shouldn't just be given out for free. Also: just do the damn raids it ain't that hard to LFG even as a solo player
Also, Always on Time ( the Scourge sparrow) makes enemies less aggressive. Thought it was the only one to do this but someone mentioned the Solstice sparrow from last year also has the 'Stealth Running' perk.
It wasn't part of that update, but DMG said on reddit that it already had bad luck protection, and is the same as everything else was updated to on 6/4.

Nate Castillo Curse Breaker wasn’t that difficult, but I do remember it taking time due to the curse’s three-week cycle. Best piece of advice I can give you is to do everything that needs to be done each week as soon as possible. Other than that, not too hard; just time-consuming.

Me too, but I'm constantly out of vault space. I have anxiety even playing the game, because whenever a decent armor or weapon drops, I have to go through my vault and dismantle something else. Either way, it's a shitty situation: - If transmog works from collections, I probably wasted a lot of time juggling with my vault and inventory and probably even dismantled good stuff I didn't have to. - But if it's not working from collections and I wouldn't have kept the armor in my vault, there is a chance to never be able to obtain some armor pieces again and lose the ability to transmog them ever. I really hate it.

Wanted to mention, that the for Wayfarer and Cursebreaker required emblem "Secret Victories" is NOT from doing all ascendant challenges time-trials, its just simply from completing all 6, the one RNG-Emblem from Blind Well and the one from doing all Time trials are variants of secret victories, but since the change of emblems and trackers, they dont count for the badges anymore.
That’s how I got mine too! To be noted the one Ascendant Challenge where you have to defeat the Knights with the sword, you have to get the chest, then jump out the exit portal while holding the sword still. Otherwise it won’t count as completed. Took me an extra 6 weeks to get Cursebreaker AND Wayfarer just because of that lol

Lol what? Just get xenophage its easy and when you get it its foolproof. Or grind izanagi which is qn easy top3 exotic rn. Hell if youve got a darci which can be found of the floor then go for anarchy. Youre making excuses and not legitimate points. Even go for whisper but personally i dont use it outside scourge and 1st garden boss as its too much of a hastle for being slightly better than 1k and xeno yet if i want to use skill id get much more out of izi+grenade launcher/rocket launcher

I read about this in an article. Apparently, there’s going to be some type of Memory Kiosk that will take exotic cyphers as a currency, and in this Kiosk you can chose the vaulted exotic of your choosing.

Scourge is definitely by far my favorite raid (haven’t played D1 raids and I’m talking outlet from a fun perspective, not a gameplay perspective). The map gimmick is super cool, especially in the boss fight. I just feel so cool being the map reader and shouting out locations for my teammates and then seeing them move around the map. Even the first encounter, the city is super fun to explore. The sparrow race is also super fun, especially with a team of micro minis and even when you wipe like 5 times it’s still super fun to just zoom through. The armor is prob one of the coolest lookin raid sets and the Anarchy is insanely good. I also really like how short it feels. I don’t need to set aside the afternoon to do a Last wish run since there’s really only three encounters plus the mazes (sparrow race included) and all three encounters are fairly easy to complete.
Remember in D1 at either start of Y2 or Y3 when they gave you Thorn, Super Good Advice, Invective, IFFF you had the associated quest active but not completed at the end of the previous year. how about some of that thinking now Bungie with weapons/catalysts that are related to vaulted areas.
i have a feeling these catalysts will have different ways of getting them, some of the new players would be pretty mad if they never got the chance to get them, and i hope transmog works from collections and not inventory

Cleo King I did it with riskrunner, had to do it twice on my girlfriends account and she only had basic blue weapons too... you will never know if you can do it until you attempt it mate.

mpraka They are used in small quantities for a variety of things, such as increasing the energy of your armor pieces and masterworking them. I run a LOT of raids, so I usually burn most of my legendary shards on raid banners which can be bought from Hawthorne.
Make sure (if you want) to fully explore all the planets for scannable items as well as just the scenery. A lot of destinations have really nice features.

Yes. I did it. And last 2 years it was nothing but burning out. Now after break in 3 months and maybe next season gonna be as good as it was in season of arrival.
For legendaries to get: Gnawing Hunger from Tier 3 Reckoning when it is Oryx. Curated roll is Overflow and Rampage. Ikelos smg from Umbrals. Surrounded with Threat Detector and a Reload masterwork is great for pve. Could be your Recluse replacement. Some grenade launcher with Spike grenades, auto loading/pulse monitor, full court/rampage. Could be a special or Heavy. Ikelos Sniper, or another good one. Triple tap with rapid hit for pve, Quickdraw and snapshot/moving target for pvp. The IB auto rifle forward path is pretty good for pve and pvp. Whatever roll you want really. Ikelos shotgun with whatever roll you want from Prophecy farming would be good.
This is a long comment just talking about my feelings toward Destiny as a franchise, as well as the current state of Destiny 2. I know my word may not mean a lot seeing i'm not a content creator, at the end of the day i'm just an ex clan lead who was passionate about the games, but sadly lost interest. I've been a part of the Destiny community since the reveal of the original game, I even played the first look alpha. People claim that I say that as a "flex", but that's not why I say it. The reason I bring it up is just to show how much the game means to me, and how long that it's been a part of my life. Destiny 1 was one of the most important things to happen to gaming for me, I remember vividly all the fun times me and my clan had on Destiny 1. Staying up for releases of DLC's, trying, and failing, to complete day 1 raids, going flawless for the first time, showing off new exotics and builds to each other, trying out stupid weapons in the crucible, using low attack weapons in raids, etc. The list goes on and on with all the memories I had of Destiny 1. To be honest, even in the "worst" times during the game, I still had so much fun! It was because I had so many friends that were passionate about the game just as I was. I knew that no matter the day I could always hop on and have at least enough people on in my clan to do a raid. All of that changed with the release of Destiny 2. My clan was split apart, most of our members wanted to stay in Destiny 1, and didn't want to play Destiny 2, because of the changes that were present in Destiny 2 year 1. Around 80% of my clan, so, roughly 60 or so people ended up leaving and starting their own clan, the roughly 25 remaining people all stayed loyal to the clan, we played the raid and lairs, trials, iron banner, everything. But, unfortunately those numbers didn't stay that high. The member count was always going down. As much as I hate to say it, by the time forsaken released, there was only 1 other active member in the clan. (Sorry for the numbers being bad, I don't exactly remember how many people left and how many stayed. Before people split I remember we had over 90 members but not over 98.) That didn't necessarily mean Forsaken was bad for us though. We really enjoyed playing through that expansion. Yeah we never to experience Last Wish fully, due to the fact LFG groups can be difficult to complete raids with since you don't know the people you're playing with. But, we still had a lot of fun playing Forsaken! Doing the dungeon, doing all the weekly powerful gear rewards, getting the Dredgen and Unbroken titles, getting the pinnacle weapons. It was all really fun, I didn't feel overwhelmed cause I had someone to play with everyday, so I was able to keep up with the game. Unfortunately, as year 2 came to a close, that friend stopped playing Destiny 2. As Shadowkeep was around the corner I scrambled to get into contact with old clan members. Asking them if they'd give Shadowkeep a chance, after all, we were going back to the moon. Sadly, no one answered my call, some said they'd think about it, some said they would come back, but, at the end of the day, no one was there with me, it was just me, for about a month, until I inevitably couldn't keep up with the game by myself. So I too stopped playing. Almost 9 months after Shadowkeep released a friend of mine that I knew outside of gaming bought a PS4, he was originally on Xbox and played Destiny 1 and 2. Me and him started playing Destiny 1 on new accounts, with fresh characters. We had a lot of fun, we even found new clan members in Destiny 1 in 2020, one of the members even knew about my clan back before Destiny 2 was out. Unfortunately, these new members don't play much anymore. Eventually, me and my friend decided to see what was going on in Destiny 2, we both logged onto our accounts which hadn't played since the end of Forsaken for him, and the first month of Shadowkeep for me. We were overwhelmed. There was so much stuff to do, but. . . we had no clue what we were supposed to do. Every activity we wanted to do was too difficult for us not even because of our light level, but because it was just us two. The meta was stagnant, with Mountaintop and Recluse still dominating. We both desperately wanted to get back into the current happenings with Destiny. But. . . the game is so difficult to keep up with without a group of people you know. My friend eventually bailed on the game because of this. I stayed for a few more weeks, hoping to find people to play with, so that I could understand the game once more. But I couldn't. It's so difficult to find new people to play the game with. The best way to do it is to find a clan. But. . . I've had my clan since year 1 of Destiny 1, I refuse to give it up. But at the same time I want to get into Destiny again. I want to have friends to play the game with. But I know it's probably never going to happen. Eventually, as I learned that sunsetting was happening, and that now content was being deleted, it feels useless even trying to play the game alone. The game is near impossible to experience solo, and I can't find anyone to play with. Who know's, maybe if Destiny 3 is a thing, and our characters get reset again, maybe I'll be able to get into the game again. I'm almost sure this is gonna go unnoticed, but, i'll leave it anyways, cause I have nowhere else to share this. I'm sure someone has posted this already, but for the Secret Victories emblem you don't have to do the TIME TRIALS, just complete all Ascendant challenges. I got Wayfarer two weeks ago by doing that.

11:21 - the Xur missions (Invitation of the Nine) haven't been easily complete-able for quite a long time. One invitation requires you to collect Hive samples from Mercury, which was designed around the Bug in The System Adventure being replayable. So unless Mercury is the flashpoint & that Adventure is the Heroic for the week, your only chance is running strikes over, and over, and over, hoping that the Infinite Forest spawns in some Hive for you. The chances are super low, and the drop rate of Hive Samples is also super low, so it's more of a challenge on your sanity than any sort of gameplay.
Also focus on getting the nightfall exclusive loot from each planet that’s going away to the vault. Though most of them are outclassed by newer weapons it’s best to get them just because. Also the Exotic Ship from A Garden World and Worm God Entrance from Will of A Thousand are both go to’s. Above all else, enjoy the planets and areas while they last and knock out any catalysts required on each planet.
I remember when before Destiny 2 came out, they said Solo players won't feel left behind. Now, all I see is op exotics hidden behind quest that are nearly impossible solo. This is the main reason I stopped playing this game.

As a new player this video is super overwhelming. Not Datto's fault, there's just so much content in D2 it's hard to catch up even a little bit with 40-something days left until Beyond Light. Currently at 880 on my first character, Titan class. Still going through Forsaken, haven't gotten to Shadowkeep yet. Trying to get through all the main content before focusing on gear. I haven't really developed any loops yet, just kinda doing whatever I feel like doing, but I think I gotta start getting more serious for the next month to try and cash in on as much legacy content as I can.
Daily Reminder: Bungie has always been the issue with Destiny and why it's always felt underwhelming and not reaching its potential (even when the game was in a good state), and Activision was objectively never the issue with the game. All of the issues plaguing the game are Bungie's fault, and they're always making issues even worse by going-back on what they've said in the past (ie vaulting gear when everyone, including Bungie, already agreed that was a dumb concept; taking away content integral to the game and that we paid for due to their shit engine under the guise that the issue is file size when it's not and have shown literally no remorse for stealing from their players, Eververse getting worse with the Brightdust changes, etc.). And a side-note: I'm convinced the reason for the delay was that Bungie removing so much content integral to the game is breaking everything and they overplayed their hand. Now they're having to release the expansion during a time other, far more interesting and better games are dropping, and borderline no one will pick Destiny 2 over those other titles. Karma's a real fucking bitch, but that's what they deserve after giving their players the shaft time after time. I absolutely fucking love Destiny, but Bungie is an absolute plague on the IP. This video honestly makes you think about how much Bungie is stealing from the players, and then when you realize that Bungie is shit at their job and the chances of them actually replacing the ability to obtain the Exotics and Catalysts linked to things they're stealing, you realize how incompetent they truly are.

@@dalassupercalbo1799 It's not even that they're removing content from the game, it's that they did it without an ounce of remorse, no reasonable rationale (from what we know about their development process), and without an actual plan. If Bungie had come out and been actually sorry for their ineptitude, said that their engine is shit (which it is by all accounts), and that in order to make their lives easier and to free-up man-power to create a new engine for the future of the franchise, they need to shrink the file sizes of the game, but that when the new engine is done they're going to transfer everything from both games onto the new engine and use that for the future; then literally no one would've faulted them for the choice. Sure, it would suck major ass for the time-being, but at least it's coming from a remorseful and logical place on Bungie's part, and we could understand and justify the issues it'll cause in the short-term, because the long-term benefits would completely outweigh the negative consequences from all perspectives. But did Bungie even try to do that? Of course not, because the management there is atrocious in every facet.

I mean I get and somewhat enjoy how the game has involved into hundreds of different “recipes” of builds for armours and guns but some days I just miss the simplicity of original destiny when it was just figuring out the mechanics of a level and grinding for a good gun/armour like im talking “vault of glass” days or even a little into “taken king”
I hate how most of these weapons are bound to raids. Bungie, give us folks with jobs and families an alternative to raids where we can make progress at our own pace. It’s rare for me to sit down for hours through a raid, I can’t do that anymore. Unless something has changed, that’s how I remember raids to be in Destiny 2.
Exotics I've gotten as of now since Lord Datto told me to Whisper of the Worm (and Catalyst) Outbreak Perfected Ace of Spades Ruinous Effigy (and Catalyst) Sleeper Simulant Thorn *(and I'm fucking happy it's over)* Lumina (and Catalyst) Polaris Lance (and Catalyst) Rat King I'm hoping that this upcoming "Memorial Kiosk" is gonna function the same way Master Rahool does with the previous season pass exotics, where I can use an Exotic Cipher *(which would become easier to obtain)* to buy a quest exotic. I know very well that I don't have enough time for Izanagi's Burden or The Last Word due to school, which is why I'm hoping that the Kiosk is gonna be simple.
In addition there are a few guns and cosmetics that can only be obtained from doing Nightfall versions of specific Year 1 (and a couple Y2) strikes that are going away. While you can get one of them from doing the first part of the Exodus Exotic quest, it's not clear if the rest will also be rewards for the rest of the quest whenever that drops, so I'll list them here just to be safe. Plus most of these weapons will not have their power cap increased, so if you wanna use them for endgame content, now would be the time. These are all random drops from Nightfall completions though they have a higher chance to drop the better your score is, and they can all drop from the Ordeal variants if that is what is offered that week. They are as follows: Trichromatica Ghost Shell (The Inverted Spire, Nessus; unclear if being vaulted or not) The Militia's Birthright Energy GL (Lake of Shadows, EDZ; unclear if being vaulted or not; this is the one you get for clearing the Exodus Pt. 1 Quest) Silicon Neuroma SR (The Pyramidion, Io) Impact Velocity Sparrow (Exodus Crash, Nessus; unclear if being vaulted or not) Duty Bound AR (Savathûn's Song, Titan; as of this writing this is the Ordeal for this week so go get that) Tilt Fuse Sparrow (The Arms Dealer, EDZ; unclear if being vaulted or not) Universal Wavefunction Ship (A Garden World, Mercury) D.F.A. While the Pinnacles and Ritual guns won't necessarily be going away, most of them will have their power cap locked at this season's cap of 1060 and thus won't be viable for endgame content in the near future. Exceptions are I believe the Season 9 Rituals and S10's Point of the Stag. If you want to get them and use them in high level content, now would be the time. Plus with the two month extension on the season, some of the older Pinnacle quests with very long/grindy requirements (I.e. Redrix's Broadsword or Luna's Howl/Not Forgotten) now have ample time to complete those; there's no better time to go after them then now. I've been taking time to get all my catalysts finished while we have some downtime. I spent a whole day getting kills for acrius, tractor cannon, bad juju, sunshot, cerberus, sweet business, and more. Felt really good to see all those glowy borders at the end of it

so, you just get it by killing enemies. it'll drop for you eventually. then all you need to do is grind kills. i recommend farming the Shuro Chi encounter of Last Wish
Two more things:
The Sleeper Simulant catalyst requires you to clear the Oracle puzzle in The Whisper Heroic mission AFTER you get thousands of kills with all the IKELOS weapons.
The Skyburner’s Oath catalyst drops from normal Leviathan encounters and is progressed by killing 1000 Cabal, which the best way to grind that out is on the Leviathan.
Side note: the Hard Light, Graviton Lance and Sunshot catalysts also require 1K kills each plus a couple other requirements and again Leviathan is a good way to grind those out, though they’re not specifically against Cabal.
Graviton lance + Sun shot is TERRIBLE to grind out on Leviathan. For one reason only! It is demanded that you spread the AOE dmg to other enemies also. Leviathan doesnt have a spot for that
Now Whisper mission is 100 times better for that.

I dont think its going away, I think they'll just do what they did with whisper. They changed whisper so that the normal quest is available for everyone, you no longer have to go kill the taken knight and enter the portal. So because they removed the prerequisite for whisper I'm sure they'll just do the same thing for zero hour.

As a guardian that enjoys PvE and can't stand PvP I hate the fact that almost every exotic quest makes you do PvP at least once in the grind. Also, I've had horrible luck when it comes to LFG in the respect that the couple of times I tried it for the raids, I would get Dbags that would rage cause I don't know the mechanics or flat out reject me for having no completions. It would be nice if there were several ways to finish exotic quests, you know like the steps they put in, do xyz or abc PvP.
Would be an absolute disgrace if they just put raid exotics in the world pool that a dumb idea. Not that I wanna keep then forever from players who for whatever reason can't do raids but they also shouldn't just be given out for free. Also: just do the damn raids it ain't that hard to LFG even as a solo player
3:44 Tarrabah actually wasn't included in the increased raid drops from the 6/4 TWAB, but the Scourge sparrow was.
Also, Always on Time ( the Scourge sparrow) makes enemies less aggressive. Thought it was the only one to do this but someone mentioned the Solstice sparrow from last year also has the 'Stealth Running' perk.
It wasn't part of that update, but DMG said on reddit that it already had bad luck protection, and is the same as everything else was updated to on 6/4.
It was included, just not on the TWAB.

Curse Breaker wasn’t that difficult, but I do remember it taking time due to the curse’s three-week cycle. Best piece of advice I can give you is to do everything that needs to be done each week as soon as possible. Other than that, not too hard; just time-consuming.

Me too, but I'm constantly out of vault space. I have anxiety even playing the game, because whenever a decent armor or weapon drops, I have to go through my vault and dismantle something else.
Either way, it's a shitty situation:
- If transmog works from collections, I probably wasted a lot of time juggling with my vault and inventory and probably even dismantled good stuff I didn't have to.
- But if it's not working from collections and I wouldn't have kept the armor in my vault, there is a chance to never be able to obtain some armor pieces again and lose the ability to transmog them ever.
I really hate it.

Wanted to mention, that the for Wayfarer and Cursebreaker required emblem "Secret Victories" is NOT from doing all ascendant challenges time-trials, its just simply from completing all 6, the one RNG-Emblem from Blind Well and the one from doing all Time trials are variants of secret victories, but since the change of emblems and trackers, they dont count for the badges anymore.
That’s how I got mine too! To be noted the one Ascendant Challenge where you have to defeat the Knights with the sword, you have to get the chest, then jump out the exit portal while holding the sword still. Otherwise it won’t count as completed. Took me an extra 6 weeks to get Cursebreaker AND Wayfarer just because of that lol

Me and 2 clan mates just got outbreak perfected together last weekend after about 12 tries and it was probably the most fun I've had gaming in years.
A small note about the Sleeper catalyst too: one of the steps requires the Oracle chest in the Heroic Whisper mission.

I read about this in an article. Apparently, there’s going to be some type of Memory Kiosk that will take exotic cyphers as a currency, and in this Kiosk you can chose the vaulted exotic of your choosing.

Scourge is definitely by far my favorite raid (haven’t played D1 raids and I’m talking outlet from a fun perspective, not a gameplay perspective). The map gimmick is super cool, especially in the boss fight. I just feel so cool being the map reader and shouting out locations for my teammates and then seeing them move around the map. Even the first encounter, the city is super fun to explore. The sparrow race is also super fun, especially with a team of micro minis and even when you wipe like 5 times it’s still super fun to just zoom through. The armor is prob one of the coolest lookin raid sets and the Anarchy is insanely good. I also really like how short it feels. I don’t need to set aside the afternoon to do a Last wish run since there’s really only three encounters plus the mazes (sparrow race included) and all three encounters are fairly easy to complete.
I’m the exact opposite. Have done all d1 raids but literally no d2 raids 😂
Remember in D1 at either start of Y2 or Y3 when they gave you Thorn, Super Good Advice, Invective, IFFF you had the associated quest active but not completed at the end of the previous year. how about some of that thinking now Bungie with weapons/catalysts that are related to vaulted areas.

mpraka They are used in small quantities for a variety of things, such as increasing the energy of your armor pieces and masterworking them. I run a LOT of raids, so I usually burn most of my legendary shards on raid banners which can be bought from Hawthorne.
The Ace of Spades quest has changed you have to find four different chests that are on Io, Nessus, the Tangled Shore, and EDZ
During this quarantine I have got every exotic I missed and catalyst but still I feel attacked while watching this video
Make sure (if you want) to fully explore all the planets for scannable items as well as just the scenery. A lot of destinations have really nice features.

For legendaries to get:
Gnawing Hunger from Tier 3 Reckoning when it is Oryx. Curated roll is Overflow and Rampage.
Ikelos smg from Umbrals. Surrounded with Threat Detector and a Reload masterwork is great for pve. Could be your Recluse replacement.
Some grenade launcher with Spike grenades, auto loading/pulse monitor, full court/rampage. Could be a special or Heavy.
Ikelos Sniper, or another good one. Triple tap with rapid hit for pve, Quickdraw and snapshot/moving target for pvp.
The IB auto rifle forward path is pretty good for pve and pvp. Whatever roll you want really.
Ikelos shotgun with whatever roll you want from Prophecy farming would be good.
I would actually grind the hell of this game but none of my friends are playing it😭😫

This is a long comment just talking about my feelings toward Destiny as a franchise, as well as the current state of Destiny 2. I know my word may not mean a lot seeing i'm not a content creator, at the end of the day i'm just an ex clan lead who was passionate about the games, but sadly lost interest.
I've been a part of the Destiny community since the reveal of the original game, I even played the first look alpha. People claim that I say that as a "flex", but that's not why I say it. The reason I bring it up is just to show how much the game means to me, and how long that it's been a part of my life.
Destiny 1 was one of the most important things to happen to gaming for me, I remember vividly all the fun times me and my clan had on Destiny 1. Staying up for releases of DLC's, trying, and failing, to complete day 1 raids, going flawless for the first time, showing off new exotics and builds to each other, trying out stupid weapons in the crucible, using low attack weapons in raids, etc. The list goes on and on with all the memories I had of Destiny 1. To be honest, even in the "worst" times during the game, I still had so much fun! It was because I had so many friends that were passionate about the game just as I was. I knew that no matter the day I could always hop on and have at least enough people on in my clan to do a raid.
All of that changed with the release of Destiny 2. My clan was split apart, most of our members wanted to stay in Destiny 1, and didn't want to play Destiny 2, because of the changes that were present in Destiny 2 year 1. Around 80% of my clan, so, roughly 60 or so people ended up leaving and starting their own clan, the roughly 25 remaining people all stayed loyal to the clan, we played the raid and lairs, trials, iron banner, everything. But, unfortunately those numbers didn't stay that high. The member count was always going down. As much as I hate to say it, by the time forsaken released, there was only 1 other active member in the clan.
(Sorry for the numbers being bad, I don't exactly remember how many people left and how many stayed. Before people split I remember we had over 90 members but not over 98.)
That didn't necessarily mean Forsaken was bad for us though. We really enjoyed playing through that expansion. Yeah we never to experience Last Wish fully, due to the fact LFG groups can be difficult to complete raids with since you don't know the people you're playing with. But, we still had a lot of fun playing Forsaken! Doing the dungeon, doing all the weekly powerful gear rewards, getting the Dredgen and Unbroken titles, getting the pinnacle weapons. It was all really fun, I didn't feel overwhelmed cause I had someone to play with everyday, so I was able to keep up with the game.
Unfortunately, as year 2 came to a close, that friend stopped playing Destiny 2. As Shadowkeep was around the corner I scrambled to get into contact with old clan members. Asking them if they'd give Shadowkeep a chance, after all, we were going back to the moon. Sadly, no one answered my call, some said they'd think about it, some said they would come back, but, at the end of the day, no one was there with me, it was just me, for about a month, until I inevitably couldn't keep up with the game by myself. So I too stopped playing.
Almost 9 months after Shadowkeep released a friend of mine that I knew outside of gaming bought a PS4, he was originally on Xbox and played Destiny 1 and 2. Me and him started playing Destiny 1 on new accounts, with fresh characters. We had a lot of fun, we even found new clan members in Destiny 1 in 2020, one of the members even knew about my clan back before Destiny 2 was out. Unfortunately, these new members don't play much anymore.
Eventually, me and my friend decided to see what was going on in Destiny 2, we both logged onto our accounts which hadn't played since the end of Forsaken for him, and the first month of Shadowkeep for me. We were overwhelmed. There was so much stuff to do, but. . . we had no clue what we were supposed to do. Every activity we wanted to do was too difficult for us not even because of our light level, but because it was just us two. The meta was stagnant, with Mountaintop and Recluse still dominating.
We both desperately wanted to get back into the current happenings with Destiny. But. . . the game is so difficult to keep up with without a group of people you know. My friend eventually bailed on the game because of this. I stayed for a few more weeks, hoping to find people to play with, so that I could understand the game once more. But I couldn't. It's so difficult to find new people to play the game with. The best way to do it is to find a clan. But. . . I've had my clan since year 1 of Destiny 1, I refuse to give it up. But at the same time I want to get into Destiny again. I want to have friends to play the game with. But I know it's probably never going to happen.
Eventually, as I learned that sunsetting was happening, and that now content was being deleted, it feels useless even trying to play the game alone. The game is near impossible to experience solo, and I can't find anyone to play with. Who know's, maybe if Destiny 3 is a thing, and our characters get reset again, maybe I'll be able to get into the game again. I'm almost sure this is gonna go unnoticed, but, i'll leave it anyways, cause I have nowhere else to share this. If anyone does end up reading this, and is interested in helping an old veteran out, my PSN is Dredgen_Arune. Eyes up guardian, you have a long way to go.

11:21 - the Xur missions (Invitation of the Nine) haven't been easily complete-able for quite a long time. One invitation requires you to collect Hive samples from Mercury, which was designed around the Bug in The System Adventure being replayable. So unless Mercury is the flashpoint & that Adventure is the Heroic for the week, your only chance is running strikes over, and over, and over, hoping that the Infinite Forest spawns in some Hive for you. The chances are super low, and the drop rate of Hive Samples is also super low, so it's more of a challenge on your sanity than any sort of gameplay.

Also focus on getting the nightfall exclusive loot from each planet that’s going away to the vault. Though most of them are outclassed by newer weapons it’s best to get them just because. Also the Exotic Ship from A Garden World and Worm God Entrance from Will of A Thousand are both go to’s. Above all else, enjoy the planets and areas while they last and knock out any catalysts required on each planet.

I remember when before Destiny 2 came out, they said Solo players won't feel left behind. Now, all I see is op exotics hidden behind quest that are nearly impossible solo. This is the main reason I stopped playing this game.

As a new player this video is super overwhelming. Not Datto's fault, there's just so much content in D2 it's hard to catch up even a little bit with 40-something days left until Beyond Light. Currently at 880 on my first character, Titan class. Still going through Forsaken, haven't gotten to Shadowkeep yet. Trying to get through all the main content before focusing on gear. I haven't really developed any loops yet, just kinda doing whatever I feel like doing, but I think I gotta start getting more serious for the next month to try and cash in on as much legacy content as I can.
Daily Reminder:
Bungie has always been the issue with Destiny and why it's always felt underwhelming and not reaching its potential (even when the game was in a good state), and Activision was objectively never the issue with the game. All of the issues plaguing the game are Bungie's fault, and they're always making issues even worse by going-back on what they've said in the past (ie vaulting gear when everyone, including Bungie, already agreed that was a dumb concept; taking away content integral to the game and that we paid for due to their shit engine under the guise that the issue is file size when it's not and have shown literally no remorse for stealing from their players, Eververse getting worse with the Brightdust changes, etc.).
And a side-note: I'm convinced the reason for the delay was that Bungie removing so much content integral to the game is breaking everything and they overplayed their hand. Now they're having to release the expansion during a time other, far more interesting and better games are dropping, and borderline no one will pick Destiny 2 over those other titles. Karma's a real fucking bitch, but that's what they deserve after giving their players the shaft time after time.
I absolutely fucking love Destiny, but Bungie is an absolute plague on the IP. This video honestly makes you think about how much Bungie is stealing from the players, and then when you realize that Bungie is shit at their job and the chances of them actually replacing the ability to obtain the Exotics and Catalysts linked to things they're stealing, you realize how incompetent they truly are.
I think you went a little to far with Reddit like attitude, but some points I do agree with that are plaguing destiny ,like mismanagement of content and the outdated engine.

@@dalassupercalbo1799 It's not even that they're removing content from the game, it's that they did it without an ounce of remorse, no reasonable rationale (from what we know about their development process), and without an actual plan. If Bungie had come out and been actually sorry for their ineptitude, said that their engine is shit (which it is by all accounts), and that in order to make their lives easier and to free-up man-power to create a new engine for the future of the franchise, they need to shrink the file sizes of the game, but that when the new engine is done they're going to transfer everything from both games onto the new engine and use that for the future; then literally no one would've faulted them for the choice. Sure, it would suck major ass for the time-being, but at least it's coming from a remorseful and logical place on Bungie's part, and we could understand and justify the issues it'll cause in the short-term, because the long-term benefits would completely outweigh the negative consequences from all perspectives.
But did Bungie even try to do that? Of course not, because the management there is atrocious in every facet.

I mean I get and somewhat enjoy how the game has involved into hundreds of different “recipes” of builds for armours and guns but some days I just miss the simplicity of original destiny when it was just figuring out the mechanics of a level and grinding for a good gun/armour like im talking “vault of glass” days or even a little into “taken king”
I hate how most of these weapons are bound to raids. Bungie, give us folks with jobs and families an alternative to raids where we can make progress at our own pace. It’s rare for me to sit down for hours through a raid, I can’t do that anymore. Unless something has changed, that’s how I remember raids to be in Destiny 2.
If you need to spend hours on a raid then that’s your issue not bungies, you have to be rewarded for playing the endgame

I know very well that I don't have enough time for Izanagi's Burden or The Last Word due to school, which is why I'm hoping that the Kiosk is gonna be simple.

Just finished my Worldline Catalyst the other day and I’m glad I’m done, it took forever.
In addition there are a few guns and cosmetics that can only be obtained from doing Nightfall versions of specific Year 1 (and a couple Y2) strikes that are going away. While you can get one of them from doing the first part of the Exodus Exotic quest, it's not clear if the rest will also be rewards for the rest of the quest whenever that drops, so I'll list them here just to be safe. Plus most of these weapons will not have their power cap increased, so if you wanna use them for endgame content, now would be the time. These are all random drops from Nightfall completions though they have a higher chance to drop the better your score is, and they can all drop from the Ordeal variants if that is what is offered that week. They are as follows:

While the Pinnacles and Ritual guns won't necessarily be going away, most of them will have their power cap locked at this season's cap of 1060 and thus won't be viable for endgame content in the near future. Exceptions are I believe the Season 9 Rituals and S10's Point of the Stag. If you want to get them and use them in high level content, now would be the time. Plus with the two month extension on the season, some of the older Pinnacle quests with very long/grindy requirements (I.e. Redrix's Broadsword or Luna's Howl/Not Forgotten) now have ample time to complete those; there's no better time to go after them then now. Here's a list of all the Pinnacle and Ritual weapons for reference:
