Huey Lewis music is sooo fun to play. Look at all the smiles on the musicians faces.
Why have I watched this video more than 18 times? It's that good good - that's why.
The group's undisputed masterpiece!
One of our favorites!
A song so catchy, most people probably don’t listen to the lyrics!
@@andrewburgemeister6684 But they should!
@@walterclements1339 Because it’s not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends, it’s also a personal statement about the band itself!
Hey Paul!
@@andrewburgemeister6684 CHOP CHOP CHOP
It just doesn't get any better than that. Wow
impressive.... let's see paul allen's cover.
Outstanding...love the fantastic horn section! Please more videos featuring them.
Go check out their covers of older (1970s) Chicago to hear more horn work! 😎
@@Prof_Jeff Thanks, love Chicago!
the 80's are back again.... great performance
This performance is absolutely incredible!
One of the best acts out of the 80s. Bad ass vocal and totally sexy horns!
Wow! That Sax solo and horn section, then the breakdown with more sax and lead guitar, awesome! Add that to the excellent vocals, percussion and rhythm section…and y’all are cooking with gas! ⛽️ Bravo!! 👏
Wow you guys are so awesome! That brass section is so tight and such great harmony. Superb vocalist! Just so much fun watching and listening to such a fantastic group that is so obviously enjoying making great music! KEEP IT UP!!
Awesome! Loved the sax solo and the power of all those horns. Great lead and backing vocals, everything sounded spot-on. What a fun song!
(I just found out recently that Huey lost his hearing... feeling sad about that.)
One of my favourite songs by Huey Lewis and the News
Mikikk001 ours too! Thanks for giving it a listen!
Lexington Lab Band if you want to take a listen to my version, you can find it on my channel. I really appreciate advices from pros like you
Could listen to the Sax players solo effort forever fantastico- stay safe
I was busy working on my computer with this streaming in the background and then thought "hmmm, I had forgotten how good this song was". I looked at the screen to enjoy (after turning up the volume) and was stunned to realized it WASN'T Huey and the news!! Great job, great cover!
Bloody fantastic really enjoyed that wow
Just awesome! Like a well oiled machine!
Wow, the engineering and production was fantastic. ❤️👏👏👏
LLB, you make my day, every day! What a great performance! Love, love love that bass playing and horn section!!
I am so grateful for you guys. I really needed an LLB fix to brighten my day. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !
Great cover of a great song! The horn section sets this cover apart from so many others. Very clean, crisp, just excellent. Thanks to all at LLB.
The whole Huey Lewis and the News set looks you guys were having a blast! Great job!
Killer, as always.
🪓 🩸
OMG That Was so cool man !!! Great Horn Section Guys!!! Wow !!! Love Huey Lewis !!!
Really great job. Love the horn section.
I don't care what anyone says...
That is one fine guitar riff!
Perfectly delivered!
Thumbs up to Huey Lewis and the news!
So happy you guys pick it up! ;-)
And that horn section...
Fantastic!
Well said!
@LexingtonLabBand : Who does all the transcriptions of the horn parts? I notice the horns in your songs always have sheet music to go by, but everybody else is playing from memory. Someone has to write it all down for the horns. Great job, whoever is doing it. I don't see it mentioned in the credits anywhere.
Huey's raspy voice is hard to replicate.
Oh, yeah. You guys will DEFINITELY get a reservation at the Dorsier....
LOVE IT !!....band is into it....having fun......horns kick butt !!...........most xcellent !!
Yuppie anthem from the 80's. 😛
Have to say that your band does Huey flawlessly. Mike thanks for starting this, congrats to all of you.
This is as good as the original, and could double for it. Seriously
if they opened for Huey they would close the show then
Gonna add one more thing, I saw Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire together on the same bill here in Charlotte several years ago and we all know they have a great horn section. Well, in my eyes they cannot touch these guys, best of the best and to be expected. It was Lexington Lab Band after all.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Wow!
You are so welcome!
If Bruce Willis an Kieffer Sutherland had a kid, I'm sure it would look like the singer😁
I like the Huey Lewis songs, good performance
superb cover folks.
A fun song done well!
Love this! The horn section adds a knockout punch. The vocals are spot on. The production is as crisp as always. Incredible!
Now that was just flat out....FUN!!!
Yet another fantastic performance!
horn section 👍
Sweet!
I am floored by this band! Such an enjoyable experience to listen. Just wow!
AHHH! YES! There it is! Awesome!!!!!!
Excellent rebounding music!
Nice to seeing band members having FUN!!
5 years ago? Wow! ❤️
Ross Walters is an absolute beast on the sax
As a kid who played trumpet through HS and an adult who saw Huey Lewis live, great job. The horns sound great.
rock on yall
Hey Paul
*AHHHHHHHHH!!!!*
World class performance 👏👏👏
Absolutely fantastic!
Many thanks!
LLB is not just the best cover band on the internet, it’s the best band. Great sound and performances all around, and Vandy, great production. 👍
It's Jack Bauer on vocals :)
Great job you guys!!!
Thanks!
How I wish President Tom Kirkman wasn't just a character.
I have seen this band do dozens and dozens of songs, and each time, they give the original performers a run for their money. Amazing!
So HIP
Great rendition. Great brass and sax solo. Everything is spot on...
That was a cool cover.
Wow ! The whole works !!! So HIP !!! Great song !!! Kudos to everyone on this one !!! Everyone !!!
Great job! Sounds awesome....
Love it!!
This is heavy Doc!
Damn that was good
Dang, I love that B3. Great job to everyone. Dale in his "Joe Cool" shades.. 😎😎😎. Thank you!
Very very cool. Very hip.
How do you argue with perfection.. Nice job!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This song really deserved a keyboard solo.
I LOVE the outro you guys did on the song. Actually improves an already great song.
You can tell when this drummer really likes the song
love that brass section
very nice, now lets see lexington labs bands rendition of the classic huey lewis and the news's 1986 hit " Hip to be square "
Ok;)
This is feeling well music! You can have a bad day but this is sono good
Man I miss bands with horn sections.
This song so "CATCHY...," 👍
that was just fun
Great cover guys but that bloke on the Sax well wow!!!!!
I’m square! I’m old 😉
Good News
Fantastic!
I can tell what's going on... But I'm not saying... Hahaha... Awesome one guys... Hahaha... Love it yeah.... Hahaha.... B-)
I hope your fine bass player owns a music store since he has a different bass for almost every song. I think his Rickenbacker looks the best but what do I know other than he and that fantastic horn section do a great job.
I have a sax but mine doesn’t make sounds like his does for some reason.
They all went out to eat at Dorsia after this.
I’m still trying to figure out “the black sax?” Is it an Alto Sax or a Bass Clarinet or none of the above?
Tenor sax with a laquer on it
@@LexingtonLabBand thanks ~ too cool for school!!
Personally, i think Lexington Lab Band's best album; is my favorite "Led Zeppelin covers for free."
love them horns-- maybe a lil EWF? LOL
Let's see Paul Allen's cover.
hip to be square---masonic lodge?
Was watching this a bit inebriated... Not sure why, but at the 2:36 mark I thought it was John Cena for a split second.
Hahaha! Thanks for checking it out!
@@LexingtonLabBand On a more serious note.. You guys are beyond awesome. Holy crap! The covers are spot on, there is no one that can even come close.
@@LexingtonLabBand You Guys made a fantastic and made it your own song at the same time. I'd say Huey Lewis would love this cover, as do I. You Guys Rock! 😎
I was really looking forward to hearing this one until I saw the same singer as the the other Huey Lewis cover. I don’t like his voice covering Huey. That tenor player can blow! Love the horn section!
Thanks for the review
schrecklicher gesang
musik ist super
Awful review
The view is superb
The singer is great but not a good match for Huey’s voice.
Drum tuning needs work,, to my ears they don't sit in the mix well,, awesome cover though, well played.
And you can tell that with compressed, digitized music, played through speakers on a computer...wow...you're really good...
@@buckhorncortez LLB's recordings are very high quality, more than enough to single out things in the mix regardless of UA-cam's compression algorithm (which affects video quality far more than audio), and I'm listening on JBL studio monitors. The attack on the snare is just a little too punchy and could probably do with less EQ in the 4-6K range. Also, the lead vocals are sitting a bit too forward in the mix. But at the end of the day, these things are very minor, and subject to my own personal bias (and everyone has bias, even studio engineers). As a whole, this is an incredible performance, and fantastic engineering, no matter what equipment you're listening on.
Thats a really bad B3 impression…
Very sorry the actual B3 did not impress you… thanks for listening!
Now that was flat out......FUN!!!
GREAT JOB,WELL DONE
