Thank you for posting this. If there is one scene I remember from the second series, it is thus one. Oz’s final line with the posh accent is still hysterical after all these years.
the series was so typical of the trade in those days, i can only assume that the writers worked on site as they got it spot on, this series perfectly mirrored the job we worked on in mid wales, we converted an old children's borstal into a nursing home, quite a new idea at the time, we had run ins with the locals and sometimes the local bobby would call up, give us a word then join with us in a few beers. our boss was an ali fraser type, bit dodgy but he proper looked after us, you were ok as long as you didn't muck him about. happy days.
I was wondering that, BMW e28 and a 518 if I remember correctly. Looks like the front shocks and bushes needed replacing - a common fault on those cars.
@@cquilty1 from what I remember the boot badge read 518 when I was rewatching the series a few years back, you saw it in one shot when they were driving to the pub. I remember because I was surprised it was apparently a base model.
Saying that when it stops behind the van for the turn the last figure looks like a 0. Wonder if they used a 518 for filming in Germany and a 520 in the UK? Though I could just be remembering wrong…
@@CycolacFan The 518 and even the 518i were worthless/gutless. I'm proud to say I crashed a 535i Motorsport quite badly as a youth. They were known for their bad handling which made me feel a little better! Because of course my driving at the time was flawless...
Bomber could murder a pint. Pat Roach was an absolute legend.
I remember him in an episode of Minder, a true English Gent. God Bless Ya Pat 👍😊
Bomber: "Leave it to me,Dennis!...I'll keep them in order,Pint and a Pie!."
I love how Moxey opens the door likes he's Oz's butler. Lol!
my favourite series as a young lad bloody hilarious and real.

“……Sergeant Ives, I saw some men down at Thornley manner and I have to say they looked awfully rough…..”. 🤣
