- This is the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 and it is powered by the same 4.0 litre turbocharged V8 engine as the AMG GT supercar. 469BHP will get you from 0-62MPH in just 4.1 seconds and will go onto an electronically limited top speed of 155MPH. Listen to the amazing engine noise of this car!

I own a c63s and of all the reviews I've seen of this car, this one is by far the best in terms of capturing the essence of what this car is all about: beauty and brawn.

Usually we get the cars direct from the manufacturer and not from dealerships. Sandown very kind helping us out to get a couple of cars at short notice to get a few videos out faster.

I will openly claim that New York City has the worst and awful roads of all. And it pains me to drive my C63S in here =(

Great film by the way
I love the sound, and I love the performance from what I've heard, but I'm just struggling to love the look. I know some people like the sleeper kind of look, but I want a car that sounds like that to look like the old W204. I loved how angry it looked. This one just doesn't have the angry look to match it's shout. It's a little sad.
TheOrgano that's a very good point. unfortunately I think the look is too subtle too. it can be pimped up with the black alloys and night pack but still it lacks a bit of menace. the coupe looks amazing in comparison at least. but yes, slightly disappointing on the saloon
Andy P To me it just looks like any other C class. Some might like that sleeper look, but not me. I want a bit of theater from my AMGs

What are the gear changes like in manual mode with this car? The last c63 seemed to have a reasonable delay between pressing the paddle and the car actually changing gear. Just interested to know.
+Chris Boyd Yeah, it did. This new car has a totally different gearbox and it is much better.
I would say it has so much power in virtually every gear that you don't have to worry hugely about that. its not as fast as the best dcts but is really smooth which is great
Love this car. Would be much better with a proper dual clutch tranny
To be honest I didn't find myself missing a DCT. The transmission is effortlessly smooth but still bangs straight into gears when you're on it.
i think you said the wrong NM torque figure. You mentioned 487 but i thought it was around 650 ????
Selling my one soon. Interior looks too similar like a c300 no more mercs for me next car is a rs6 performance c7

who on earth can afford these things? im trying to save for a house but feel like buying one of these instead. Its sad but the reality is that many of us may never come close to being able to afford the cars we like.
Sadly that is true. However, the world is a better place for them existing, certainly a more interesting place anyway.

Yeah I'd go for the house first (in London may i add..). the only worry I have is that once I've got a house, It'll take me a lifetime to save for a car that'll depreciate the second I take it out of the showroom. then comes the lease vs buying debate... but you're right, you never know which way your future will go. I might make it big one day lol
Kamil Pekenti great advice man. happy for you. and you're right, life is short I've heard that cars are just cars at the end of the day from people who own high end stuff here too it's just to realise that you have to had experienced it is guess lol. having grown up a little from being a boy racer I realise that money on cars is just money down the drain from a financial point of view. I'll do the house first and if I've got some cash left over I'll get the car. I just don't know what I'd go for, the m6 or this xD
