STRINGING AND PIPRE LAYING:
Individual line pipes are offloaded directly on the pipeline right way in a disciplinary way- this is termed as "Pipe stringing" or "pipe laying". For Underground pipelines, keeping the line pipes inside the excavated trench also sometimes termed as pipe laying. when couple of line pipes are welded together above ground, beside the pipeline excavated trench is termed as pipeline string- which can be as long as 900 to 1200 meters.
general rule of stringing for FBE Coated under ground line pipes: to be kept on wooden skid or on sweet sand or plastic pallets, the clear distance from the ground shall not be less than 150mm or 6 inch. At least two temporary supports required to string / lay one line pipe. Extreme care of the pipeline external coating has to be taken.
