I have learned to crochet this year during the COVID 19 Pandemic by watching you. I hope to be one day as close as I can to your capabilities. I have finished 2 afghans and a dust mitt and working on my second Christmas Star with red cotton that has a silver thread. Jayda I watch you every single day and have really spread the word about you. Thank you. Carolyn Dennis VT.
Hi Carolyn, thank you so much! We're so happy to know you've been enjoying our show and have taken up crochet with such gusto! It's a wonderful craft and in 30 years I am still finding new things to learn :)
Hi Jayda, I just got done crocheting my 15th Market bag for family &, friends & was looking for another project. You are a wonderful teacher. I will be making these cute little trees. Thank you so much. Keep well.
Just made my first tree and ready to start my second- thank you for a wonderful video, for you smile & happy attitude - they are so welcome in this crazy times I are living in
I have already made a TON of these. They are super cute and very easy to make. Thank you so much for the video. I am working on making them scented with essential oils now, before I attach them to gifts. I am so excited!
These little trees are so cute. I always try to make an ornament for my girls every year. I try to make at least 6 a piece. These are going to be perfect
Again, thank you for such wonderful instructions. You speak so clearly and even explain why you're doing what you're doing..... something not many others do. So thank you :)
You are so sweet and adorable that you make it fun to watch your videos. I love the way you take your time to help us learn how to do the projects you share, Thank you so much.
Just want to say a big thank you from Melbourne Australia. I watched your video quite a few times now I can't stop making the Christmas Trees which I'm giving away to some of my friends!
+Jill Clarke Hi Jill! What a great idea :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial, thank you for watching and I hope you're enjoying a nice HOT, beachy winter :)
Thank you Jayda!! You are absolutely right about continuing to try to make your tree lie flat. I think I'll do better on the next tree that I make :o). Your instructions were great!
Hard to believe that this video is 6 years old 😱🤗. It must have first come up in my UA-cam feed, bc I made the tree 🎄 I think last year 🤔... Considering making them again this year for my coworkers and boss😃. Thanks 😁
Thank you just made a Christmas tree, I will make loads and put them on the tree this year, you have helped me to crochet for the first time in trying for 7 years ☺Kimx
This is an awesome pattern! A client asked me to make him some doggy snoods that looked like "Christmas barf" and one of these trees went on each one along with your star applique! Thank you ;D
Jayda, this pattern was so much fun. I am thinking of adding colorful beads to the yarn and working them in as ornaments. I want to make some trees into pins to give to my friends for Christmas. You were right, this pattern is totally addictive. LOL
Fabulous idea! You can totally downsize these into pin size by using crochet thread (a size 3 or a size 1 perhaps) and a 2.00 mm hook, they'd be just adorable!
I love this I love your videos your so fun and bubbly i was hooked on making your granny stars now i am hooked on Granny trees I made about 10 granny stars and making granny trees for gifts :D A good gift comes from the heart :)
This is perfect!!! I am working on a ugly sweater for my daughter, I made a vest ,I seen your bigger tree applique for your ugly sweater you did but I wanted to make a smaller one and this will work great. I will decorate it and make your star to put on it and will add a few more decorations . I am having a hard time making the sweater Ugly though. We are having a Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at our church also my daughter is having a tacky Christmas atire day at school before there Christmas break this is going to perfect. I am going to use your apliqiues and it will surely be a hit. Thank you again Jayda!
Hi! Thank you for watching :) You cut a length of yarn (maybe 15 cm) and knot the ends together. Stuff the knotted end through the top of the tree, bring it up about 2 or 3 cm so that you have a loop, bring the other end through the loop and pull tightly :)
I just found you and I love your tutorials! I started making granny squares yesterday and had a small amount of yarn left from a skein. So I came looking for a small project and literally had just enough to make this tree! Lol super cute and very easy to follow. I can't wait to make more.
+Marji Franklin Hi Marji! Thank you so much for watching :) If you liked the Granny Tree, you might also like my Granny Star tutorial! You can try it here ua-cam.com/video/zS5fSGxOMAc/v-deo.html
I just made one and I decided it could use some teeny-tiny Christmas baubles made from a couple of French knots. I think I'll make a couple in red and a couple in white on both sides of that happy little tree.
