I've had these OnePlus buds for 2years and they have always worked flawlessly. I lost one of the buds and found it three days later it had been laying on the ground through rain, snow and minus 6 celsius weather. And when i was finished charging them together it still worked like before .😂 10 out of 10 do recommend!
Considering you have an iPhone, I'd say you'd be much better off with the Airpods. They work together quite seamlessly. If you're happy with their open design and you have the money for them, they're value for money. If however, you want Active Noise Canceling, the Buds Z2 offer that. You will have a better seal, so the bass response will be that much more prominent with the Z2, which can be bass happy straight out of the box. It won't be as good as the airpods when it comes to its imaging though. Hope this helps.
@@PaulsPOV Thank you a lot for your answer and all the details it helped me a lot I’m going to take the airpods bc they’re on promotion in France and i already had the first generation who worked perfectly during 4 years. Thank you again and have a nice day ❤️

Sound wise, I prefer the 230NC, but both these models have been known to have some issues. The JBL with one bud not charging and the Z2 with ANC hissing issues. OnePlus does replace defective units, but JBL is still working on replacements for some people. The majority of people who have that one bud issue have been sent back after a minor clean-up, which temporarily sorts the issue out. It's not a long-term fix. On the other hand, there are many people who haven't had these issues and are quite happy with their units. My Buds Z2 is over a year old, it's a replaced unit. Both are nice earphones to own. It's worth knowing that the Z2 has been known to have a hissing sound when the ANC is turned on. This is not normal, and OnePlus has acknowledged this as a manufacturing defect, and they replace these units. So if you do land up with one that does that, have it replaced. I used to find the Z2 a little too bass happy, but there are more options to play around with in the EQ settings in hey melody now. I prefer the 230NC over the Buds Z2 any day. It's better detailed and has a tighter bass response. I find it to be much more enjoyable than the Z2. Hey Paul,is there a major difference in sound quality between this and realme air 3??...like if I want to put anc on and maybe sleep at 5 percent listening to music like that...which is good and in terms of sound quality too what do you say??
The OP amps way more than the Realme, so 5% on the OP might be a 10-15% on the realme, so it won't get as quiet as the realme. ANC wise they're both good. Sound wise, the OP is super bass happy in its default audio mode. The realme can tend to sound like it's better at imaging because of accentuated highs. This can get fatiguing over lover listening sessions. But the most important thing, if you're intending on using these to wind down at the end of the day before you sleep, is comfort. The OP fits much better for me than the Realme. The realme has very large housings which can hurt your ears over longer sessions of listening. Hope this helps.

The issue with the realme is the sheer size of the housing. I find it to be unnecessarily large, so it doesn't fit in the ear well for many people, and causes discomfort and leads to pain as well. Obviously, these are things you don't want to face when trying to fall asleep. The OP fits snug, for me at least, and I haven't really heard from people about any comfort issues like I have with the Realme.
Almost six or seven months down the line of using OnePlus buds Z2 *I would agree word by word with everything spoken by Paul Sir.* Compared to all the others in a slightly cheap range but sold as 'supposedly similar' namely my past favourite Oppo enco air 2 Pro and those which I never thought of even trying out like Redmi and Realme or whatever. I like the sound signatures of Z2 absolutely as per my taste, especially since my piece in the box came with the updated equaliser with custom settings. Somewhere last month due to ease of access of wearing *Below the Turban* I also purchased a pair of OnePlus CE *Half in Ear* ....and Z2 ARE NOW BEING APPRECIATED by My Son on his Iphone 14 Max and they have synched and adapted themselves well above most Brands he had tried in the past ... And I am happy that my son is not interested now in purchasing Apple Earpods..once hes ok with Z2
One doubt , If the last paired device is not in bluetooth range, could we still switch to second paired device OR switching device is possible only if it is in connected state ?
@@akashaggarwal3041 Presently I have both and this is my personal opinion that I like oneplus Z2 much better , although the quality of Oppo enco air 2 pro is no less. Oppo needs 65% volume in a room and almost 100% in traffic...( Voice calls
I haven't tested the Nords, but I presume they won't be a strong contender to the Buds Z2. A set I've really come to enjoy in that price segment is the Oppo enco air 2 pro. It's a good no-nonsense set of earphones to own.
Greetings from Venezuela, for 50$ you recommend me Buds z2 new, sony wf xb700 used or sony wf c500? Or you recommend me other for the same price? I have android. Thank you
Hi Massimassi. The Z2 is a nice set if you like loud and bloated bass but If you're okay not having ANC, the C500 I heard was a very nice sounding set of earphones. It's passive noise cancelling made me think it did have ANC, it's that good at blocking out the world. A set that I've really come to like is the Yamaha TW-E3B. Superb sounding set of wireless earphones. There are no fancy features, but it's very well detailed in its presentation. Feel free to give my review on it a look if you haven't already. If you do want ANC, the latest set I've come to like is the Earfun Air Pro 3. Very good performer at a very good price. This company is making some good stuff. Feel free to watch my review on it as well.
I haven't heard from anyone in my comments lately about it. It's possible those batches have all been moved off the market. But even if you do have a problem, OnePlus replaced these units without a problem. It's a nice set of earphones to own.
The Z2 is great if you want loudness and heavy bass. The oppo enco air 2 pro is a nice natural sounding set of earphones which I've quite liked, also because it's a no nonsense set to own. The Z2 has been known to give ANC hissing issues. The Realme buds air 2 sounds good. Nice detail but sounds a bit metallic and it's best to avoid it if you plan on using it for calls. Feel free to watch this review about them if you'd like to. ua-cam.com/video/02oj56RyONs/v-deo.html
If you've got an iPhone, the airpods will work seamlessly with it, not so much with the Z2. Soundwise, the Z2 can get loud and bass heavy, but the HeyMelody app does have some nice EQ options in it now. The Z2 isn't the best at detail recovery. If you prefer heavy bass, the Z2 will be nice to own. If you prefer detail in your audio, the airpods will be a better choice.
I wouldn't recommend any fast chargers for TWS cases. It can reduce the over all life. Slow charging is the best for long-term use. I haven't tested the buds 2, so I can't comment on it.
The realme Buds Air 3 is a nice set to own, no doubt, but it tends to be a little uncomfortable for some people considering it's housing for the drivers are quite large. I feel a lot of discomfort with them when using them for prolonged periods of time. Also, if you intend on using them for calls, they're not the best sounding earphones to your recipient. Feel free to give my review on them a look.
Hi Brother, i am looking for a tws for a call with budget max 10k. I still see oneplus Bud pro available in amazon for 8k and also see Samsung Bud 2 pro for 10.3K. Can you please advice which is better option for call Oneplus Z2, Bud pro or sam buds 2 pro?
I haven't tested the OnePlus Buds Pro and Samsung Bud 2 as well, so I can't really comment on them. In this price range, I've tested the LG FP5 and found them to be quite good on a sound front. They sound quite premium for the price but don't do very well for calls. The OP Buds Z2 do reasonably well for calls. Feel free to give the call chapter in this review a listen for the OP Buds Z2 and LG FP5 if you'd like to. ua-cam.com/video/02oj56RyONs/v-deo.html
It works perfectly well with other branded phones. You'll have to download the HeyMelody app to get more control over the buds. It works without issues.
I have been using Onellplus buds z2 since Nov 2022 and after 1.5 years now it's battery is draining out faster so I need to look for a new one. Otherwise it is a fantastic earpod which I have been using extensively and it worked fine for 1.5 years.
Hear me out. I listened to Paul da and it saved my life , go for Enco Air 2 Pro . Only thing which is better in Oneplus buds is the ANC which is only slightly better. I first bought Oneplus Buds Z2 and i was facing call issues, the sound use to break between the left and right side. I replaced and still got the same issue. Even the bass is better in Enco air 2 pro , Oneplus is just punchy. The clear vocals option in Oppo Enco AIr 2 Pro is a miracle. One more pros is that you can control volume on Oppo Enco Air 2 Pro. Save your bucks mate. If you are eager to buy a Oneplus Buds just go for oneplus buds pro 2 or R .
I use samsung note 20 ultra phone and samsung galaxy watch 4. I recently lost samsung galaxy buds pro. I am confused between samsung buds 2 and oneplus z2 tws. Any suggestion? Based on your suggestion I will buy one 😊
I haven't tested the Samsung buds, so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information. The Buds Z2 are a nice set to own. They get quite loud if you're into that and tend to be bass heavy. The hey Melody app has introduced EQ presets, which balance the bass out well, and I like how they sound on their bold setting now.
They do reasonably well on calls. You can give the call demo chapters a listen in my reviews about the Z2 to get an idea of how you'd sound to your recipients.
The JBL 230 NC has a cleaner delivery in the sound department. Good battery life but doesn't work with Teams, so it may not suit you there. I haven't heard of the Z2 having compatibility issues with Teams.
Very soon I guess. They are giving away the Z2's as freebies with OnePlus 11 series purchases and also with their RCC quizzes and competitions. So this stock clearance is a subtle indication.
Would you recommend these over Jbl 230nc , if the main priority is Sound quality as much as Anc , I like sound dependent headphones. I had a 10k budget but . I just ended it and buying any Tws under 5-6k . I’m buying AirPods Pro 2 with the next iPhone launch . (This is just for like 5-6 months) What Would you recommend in 5-7k budget *Lg *oneplus *jbl I like higher volume so that I just returned the Oppo enco air 2 pro for its lower sound . (Btw the sound quality was awesome) So Sound quality/volume , Anc(noise isolation during flights)[I travel a lot] Battery ain’t my concern . I own a iPhone 11 so codec support ain’t my problem . Help me with these Love your Content❤
I quite like the LG FP5 for its sound quality. It's not great when it comes to its ANC, though. Certainly not the best out there. JBL 230NC trumps the OP Buds Z2 its audio clarity for sure. It's better detailed and structured. The Z2 works if you're a bass head and you're not particular about imaging. The oppo does have a low volume output. The ones I've mentioned aren't low that way, but the Z2 is the loudest of the lot for sure.
@@s.sakthivel6910 May I know how is your overall experience with Z2 when compared to Enco air 2 Pro in detail like battery life, ANC for crisp calls & with app support.
These work well but avoid buying it off of Amazon. People seem to be getting some stock with ANC issues. Buy it from a store if possible. The oppo enco air 2 Pro is also a nice set to own but isn't as bass happy and loud as the Z2.
@@PaulsPOV Thanks for the recommendation, Also I've heard a lot about samsung buds live and buds 2. Are those worth it if I get them under 5k as I've a samsung phone.
I've heard about them, too. They seem to be a favorite for a lot of people, but I haven't yet gotten a chance to review them. If you do decide to pick up a set, let me know if they're worth reviewing now. I've only heard good things about them.
@@PaulsPOV For sure. One of my friend have samsung buds live he told me to go for it but for many people they're not perfectly fitting in their ears due to their shape. Otherwise they're available under 5k and it seems like a good deal.
Comfort is obviously very important in the long run, but it's even more subjective than sound. See if you can use your friend pair to see how it fits you before making that final decision.
Hello, i cant decide between oneplus z2 and jbl 130nc. Could you help me decide what to buy? Here in slovakia i can get the OnePlus for 45€ and the jbl for 37€. I want earbuds that i can use for 3 years.
I haven't tested the JBL 130NC, sadly, so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information. But what I can tell you about the Buds Z2 is that a lot of people have faced issues with it. In my case, I had the ANC hissing issue. Other folk have been to the service center 4-5 times for replacements. From my experience, an absolute no-nonsense set of earphones has always been something from Oppo. Every unit I've had hasn't given me problems and usually has taken me over 2 years of use before battery degradation starts to become noticeable. I dont know if you'll get oppos there, but I've just reviewed the Oppo Enco Air3 Pro, which I feel is super value for money. Feel free to watch my review on it for a better understanding of it. I hope this helps 😊
@@PaulsPOV we have here only oppo enco air 3, which cost more than the OnePluses, JBLs. Some people have problem with fitting the 130nc Into ears. thats probably only thing that am I afraid of.
I've tested the 230NC and quite liked it. The new Tune Beam is a great upgrade on it, but I'm sure it'll be more expensive than the 230NC, and I'm not sure if you like the stem design. The 230NC is comfortable and has great battery life, BUT some folk have experienced one bud not charging. This problem was usually fixed with a quick clean-up of the contacts in the case and earphones. I think the Tune Beam has addressed this issue now, so it should be safer to go for and will be a nice long-term set to own.
@@PaulsPOV 230nc and tune beam cost a lot more money. I need something 30€/45€. Idk why is there the price difference between 130nc and 230nc, because they are almost the same. Just design is different
They have minor differences as far as I know, but yes, the 230NC is more expensive than the 130NC here as well. If you can get your hands on a set of Yamaha TW-E3B earphones, I'd highly recommend them, provided they are being sold for a good price, of course. They're not fancy in terms of features. No ANC, etc, but terrific sounding. Would highly recommend over JBL if sound is your priority and if it fits your budget.
I am using this pice of shit for last one year. It has been replaced by the OnePlus Servie Center for about 4-5 times. It has given some or the other issues in every 2 months. Now my Warranty period is just over and it still got defects. I am sure that Oneplus is very well aware of the poor quality of this product. After all 5 Sealed pack brand new replacement cannot have manufacturing defect accidentally or coincidentally. They are basically cheating people by selling cheap substandard products at much higher cost by in cashing their brand value. I feel its just a waste of ₹5000
Oh really? It's worthwhile connecting with OnePlus customer care or someone who has used that phone with these buds to know for sure. Usually OP phones and OP earphones work flawlessly.

@@YUTfan2 in that case it should connect on its own without any problem to the second device.
which is better to purchase enco air 2 pro or z2? whose ANC and features and battery are better?
@@akashaggarwal3041
Presently I have both and this is my personal opinion that I like oneplus Z2 much better , although the quality of Oppo enco air 2 pro is no less.
One more thing I want to tell you that I am not using ANC on Either as I am more comfortable with staying in touch with the surroundings
@@akashaggarwal3041
In my personal opinion.
Battery Z2 is an hour and a half more practically.
Voice Clarity Both are almost same
Call clarity..Both are almost same
Bass Z2 is much much better.
With ANC on Z2 bass is what most Indians love ( tho I play without ANC)
Volume:
Z2 is comfortable at 50% in a room. 80% in Traffic.
Oppo needs 65% volume in a room and almost 100% in traffic...(
Voice calls
Battery sucks
Using After 10-20 minutes, it turns 100% to 60%.
Hlo sir ..
I need better sound quality and Anc
Lg tone is better for that sir
Or one plus Z2
The Z2 performs well with ANC, the LG isn't as good. But on a sound front, the LG FP5 has much better details and structure in its sound than the Z2.
Bro which is better OnePlus z2 or oneplus Nord buds?? Or apart from these two which earbuds is better under 5000
I haven't tested the Nords, but I presume they won't be a strong contender to the Buds Z2.
A set I've really come to enjoy in that price segment is the Oppo enco air 2 pro. It's a good no-nonsense set of earphones to own.
@@PaulsPOV then I'll go with OnePlus z2.. okay bro?
Well can we use as a mono single earbud at a time
Whether right or left ,
Yes
When will the next version of oneplus z2 ,oppo enco air 2 pro and realme air 3 will come?
I have no idea and would love to know myself. If you get wind of their launch dates, please let me know.
Paul sir should I go for OnePlus buds z2 or do they still have the hissing anc issue (from Amazon)
I haven't heard from anyone in my comments lately about it. It's possible those batches have all been moved off the market. But even if you do have a problem, OnePlus replaced these units without a problem. It's a nice set of earphones to own.
@@PaulsPOV I got it from Amazon today, it's going well, if I get an issue I'll tell you. And thanks for replying even after months lol
Brother oneplus buds z2 vs oneplus buds pro?? Need a detailed comment!!!
I haven't tested the Buds Pro, so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information.
Oneplus z2 or realmi air 3 or oppo encho witch one is best sir
The Z2 is great if you want loudness and heavy bass. The oppo enco air 2 pro is a nice natural sounding set of earphones which I've quite liked, also because it's a no nonsense set to own. The Z2 has been known to give ANC hissing issues. The Realme buds air 2 sounds good. Nice detail but sounds a bit metallic and it's best to avoid it if you plan on using it for calls.
Feel free to watch this review about them if you'd like to.

Hello, u recommend me airpods used 1 gen for 20$ or op z2 for 50$? I have android
Can we use GAN charger to charge tws and could you also comment on samsung buds 2 pro call quality being so poor
I wouldn't recommend any fast chargers for TWS cases. It can reduce the over all life. Slow charging is the best for long-term use.
I haven't tested the buds 2, so I can't comment on it.
I have budget so can I go for this ?
I m bit confused with realme buds air 3

@@PaulsPOV thanks for your reply 😊. Your review videos are very detailed and good. Thanks for giving us good review videos👏👍
Just a question should i buy it if i jave a phone other than OnePlus ? I am using iqoo 9 pro
It works perfectly well with other branded phones. You'll have to download the HeyMelody app to get more control over the buds. It works without issues.
@@PaulsPOV thanks mate big help! ❤️
Is it better for long term use?
Beacuse oneplus buds z hardly works 1 year
My unit is over a year old, but I haven't been using it on a daily basis. I think some people have been using it for over a year without any problems.
My primary objective is to call. Which one is better for calls please suggest

@@PaulsPOV thanks a lot for the information. Is oneplus z2 are good for attending calls as well?
I like your video. Very informative and non biased.
They do reasonably well on calls. You can give the call demo chapters a listen in my reviews about the Z2 to get an idea of how you'd sound to your recipients.
Is custom eq available on all Android or only oneplus ?
It's available on the Hey Melody app on Android or iOS.
Does dolby atmos support with samsung s20 fe 5g and s22 5g which has dolby atmos ?
if ur device supports dolby atmos it will dolby atmos in hey melody app
Pls suggest beween this and JBL nc230, priority is office calls and battery.
The JBL 230 NC has a cleaner delivery in the sound department. Good battery life but doesn't work with Teams, so it may not suit you there. I haven't heard of the Z2 having compatibility issues with Teams.

Does it have spatial audio/ surround sound?
no

Very soon I guess. They are giving away the Z2's as freebies with OnePlus 11 series purchases and also with their RCC quizzes and competitions. So this stock clearance is a subtle indication.
I ordered them twice , and both times i got faulty units ... Hence returned them.
Oh damn. I dont think you were the only person who faced this.

Best to visit a service center or have them replaced if they're still in the replacement period.
(This is just for like 5-6 months)
What Would you recommend in 5-7k budget

*oneplus
*jbl
I like higher volume so that I just returned the Oppo enco air 2 pro for its lower sound . (Btw the sound quality was awesome)
So Sound quality/volume , Anc(noise isolation during flights)[I travel a lot]
Battery ain’t my concern .
I own a iPhone 11 so codec support ain’t my problem .
Help me with these
Love your Content❤
I quite like the LG FP5 for its sound quality. It's not great when it comes to its ANC, though. Certainly not the best out there.
JBL 230NC trumps the OP Buds Z2 its audio clarity for sure. It's better detailed and structured. The Z2 works if you're a bass head and you're not particular about imaging.
The oppo does have a low volume output. The ones I've mentioned aren't low that way, but the Z2 is the loudest of the lot for sure.

Hey which is the best buds for anc?? I am a student so I want no disturbance while studying. Pls suggest one under 5k.
See if you can use your friend pair to see how it fits you before making that final decision.
compare it with Google Pixel Buds A series
