Every aspect of that day was horrific, but the first collapse is terrifying on whole other level. I was 9 that day. To say my life has been molded because of 9/11 is a massive understatement. I feel your sadness as much as I feel my own.
I was in second grade when this happened. I was 7 years old, one month away from turning 8 years old. I remember our teachers bringing our two second grade classes into one of our old first grade classrooms. I remember seeing a TV set up in the classroom with the news on and our teachers were crying. They sat us down in front of the TV and we watched what was happening. We were so young, but we understood that our entire world had just changed. 2977 were killed that day, 343 of those people killed were firefighters that were inside the towers trying to rescue people when the towers collapsed.
I was 20 years old when that happened. I'm 43 today, and I can't watch that footage without crying. Thanks for your reaction. Check out "the night Osama Bin Laden was killed". It's a great story.
You showed 1/4 of the feelings we felt that day...sad. scared, shock, and angry. This story needs to be told.
