Quick video on replacing the driver's side blend door actuator. If your heat is cold on the driver's side but hot on the passenger's side, this might be your problem!
This also fixes the entire air conditioning vs heat for both sides on my 2010 ram 1500! I've been just dealing with this thing flip flopping back and forth on its own because of another video that said its way behind the dash and you have to remove the entire dash, then I found this video! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Thanks for the video. Mine was not calibrated properly and kept making noise. Watched your video and installed the new one with heat on and tab up. No more noise of blend door trying to reset itself. I saved $10 by buying my Dorman off Amazon.
Literally having this same problem, thank you, and love how you called it a poverty sled, I’ve got an 09 1500 4.7 2wd, power everything, chrome bumpers, aluminum wheels, dude who ordered this dodge obviously cared about comfort not power or driving off road
I’m not sure about later years, but anyone who owns the 2009 and most likely up to think about cutting in for a cabin air filter. My truck was out in the oil fields in Texas before purchasing and the entire vent system and truck is covered in clay dust to change out the filter. Well, the factory did not install one and you need to cut out the plastic in order to make it fit and purchase the small. Cover plate.
So my ram has mild air on the drivers side and the door is in the up position for heat. So do I have to rip apart the dash and have the blend door replaced?

How about if it’s driver side that has issue do I still replace same thing ?

Based on the heater knobs you have a single zone system so it should only have one blend door
Is the part number 604-038 or 604-005 I bought the -005 but it will not clip all the way in I am working on the same actuator behind the glove box
