Not all ITF uses sinewave, Not all ITF uses Kihap, not all ITF uses the same methods as some of you might. This doesn't mean that your's is better. Infact if you say "mine is better" or "that Sabum is no good" then you are really showing your lack of discipline and disrespect for the nature of Taekwon-do, making you look like a MC DOJO student or a beginner with no knowledge of diversity. LEARN THE ITF HISTORY AND POLITICAL SPLIT BEFORE YOU SAY SOMEONE IS DOING IT WRONG.
Minute 01:00, the correct description should be Kaunde an palmok maki and not napunde an palmok maki? The translation below says middle block and nopunde means high. Am I right?
Thanks for the clarity of your video. I keep coming back to it to double check stuff. I have checked a few other white belt instructionals and they create confusion.
@naumutroi The speed is ITF speed, that's how we do patterns. We want to see the movements, if you go too fast, they can become a blur of poorly executed movement.
The exaggerated breathing sound you mention is taught to beginners and children to make sure that they exhale at the end of each movement; the instructor KNOWS that everybody is exhaling properly if they make this noise
Thank U very much for yr perfect exhibition that help me to try to pass exam. Greetings from Treviso(near Venice) in Italy. If some day u will pass to Treviso's airport pls inform me I wish offer u a coffee or something like that; Enrico/Henry :)
No she's actually moving pretty slowly, on purpose might I add, to better demonstrate the form, this when executed at normal speed should take about half to two thirds of the time that it took her to execute it and about one third when doing it fast
Yes this is the Scottish Queen! I would love to train with her! One of the most cleanest fluid techniques I have seen recorded. Gup's are for precision not speed, speed comes with repetition. Well done Ms.Cross!
What's with the up and down movement before technique. This was never allowed when I trained years ago. Maybe something new but I will not teach this to my students.
Hi, ma'am kindly show the steps in slow motion for beginners, and also show the position of fist and legs before that'll help us to follow and practice as well.
if your studying itf tkd then one day you will learn sign wave ! that is if your learning general choi hong hi ways any thing else is not taekwondo! as it was meant to be
@dragonbalzy If that is the way she was trained and she is doing exactly they she was trained then thats on her instructors. the demo is not bad for the most part. it is just that for to me and in my opinion the bouncing just bothers me. Someone also made a note of of her thumb..So once again it goes back to her training and who trained her. In her style/art they may not tuck the thumb in. In mine, we do tuck the thumb and we do not bounce.
I feel like if you're gonna put the romanized word for Korean, you should type it properly in Korean as well. I understand for those who dont know 한글 (Korean writing), but honestly romanization is a pain in the ass when trying to pronounce the words correctly
action and reaction. you get more power relaxing and finally tensing your body to harden it. the wave pattern allows to prepare your body to release the technique with strength. start slow, end fast, sort of.
Ma'am It looks like you are leaning forward with both your punch, and inner forearm block. You may want to use more hip to get more Power. Respectfully in Tae Kwon Do 5th degree at 8th Degree Master Bill Lees U.S.A.
Mr. Feliciano, unfortunately that cannot be correct, as the WTF was not created until the early 1970's. "Sinewave" as practiced currently is a fairly new creation, not being taught in mass until approximately the mid 80's. Would you care to clarify your comment?
@wannabesupergirl Watch this link and you should see what i mean. TKD Single Knife Hand Block (TaekwonWoo). And if you do Tae Kwon Do either WTF, ITF, TKDI . There is a thing called Tenets.
@TheGtx69 Some people run the thumb tightly along the side of the index finger. Others bend it and tuck it underneath the hand. Either way seems to work well and depends on who is the instructor who trained this person. In my art we do tuck the thumb in.
@sagagossard Its just a pattern. Its to build competence in core techniques (to make sure your doing them correctly) and instill some disciplined. Sparring and pad work never tends to be as regimented as this.
@naumutroi It's an ITF tkd pattern, so it has sine wave, ie, the bouncing up and down. The fundamental exercise was very well done IMO. I think better than in the legacy dvd. I think the legacy patterns could have been better done. Is it wrong to say that?
Ikr? I am only 10 and I am trying to learn.. How can I learn with some Bouncing? Maybe just a habit, my friend does it all the time while preforming Taekwondo.
its to do with force of motion, think of how scales react if you bounce on them instead of standing still; you momentarily weigh more letting you project more force through your punches.
I never passed a grading exam except for the yellow belt and I got a special red belt without grade test ! Our teacher gave it to me cause I was skilled as a kid but it was his personal belt actually it wasn’t official but I used to wear it ! I still remember like if it was yesterday
A nice demonstration. but i would have liked to have seen less bouncing though. Perhaps a second run through at a higher speed. And as far as korean words and phrases, the others who have commented seem to have that well in hand. i am more familiar with chinese, japanese and filipino words and phrases for techniques and so forth. cheers.
1:39 사주 지르기 Saju Jirugi (Four Directional Punch)
2:12 사주 막기 Saju Maggi (Four Directional Block)
My grading is tomorrow too so all the best 😷👍🏼
I have my grading on Sunday 4th September 2016, excited but nervous 😁
MiaAndLeafeon did you pass
Think she quit and dont remember why you would ask such a question :D
I need an answer
Tök jó!🥰
Thanks for remind me =D
Great videos BTW
Super
@freemangsx should be gunnun sogi kaunde ap baro chirugi _ walking stance mid obverse punch , this lady is a world champion ?
@sagagossard It's a pattern, you practice fundamental movements in patterns, the techniques can be modified for sparring or self defense.
My dooter is leaning the Kwan do Andre is only 10 and she is on a green tage
Chombay
People
this is how you were born.

lol at TKD, stick with the kicks
This was exactly the video I was looking for. Thanks!
Now I'm going to the white belt certification and watch this video...
Minute 01:00, the correct description should be Kaunde an palmok maki and not napunde an palmok maki? The translation below says middle block and nopunde means high. Am I right?
It should be so and not sogi when used with hand techniques. Sogi is for use with the stance on it's own.
yes you are right there it should say Gunnan Sogi An Palmak Kapunde NaJunde is low block Kapunde is middle block and napunde is high block
I have a grading test tomorrow. Wish me luck 😄
kazuki kaori
tomorrow I'll have the yellow belt test 😄
Judith van der Vliet yeah.for sure. got a sore body after that. lol
heythere :D you surprised me. got the same nickname there. I'm also in yellow belt. good luck btw!

I'll pass this in December. I'm taekwondo girl
Thanks for the clarity of your video. I keep coming back to it to double check stuff. I have checked a few other white belt instructionals and they create confusion.
Ja és nagyon ügyes ez a néni! Nem?!

tkd. the best around the world. perfect. no way.

I can recognize her incredible & amazing fighting skills!. She must be Julia Cross the Scottish queen of ITF TKD..
She's lighting fast
No she's actually moving pretty slowly, on purpose might I add, to better demonstrate the form, this when executed at normal speed should take about half to two thirds of the time that it took her to execute it and about one third when doing it fast
Verry impressive, thanks for sharing.
Feeling so psyched for my first grading. Woohoo!! Time for practice!
great video, ideal reference for me, practising for my first exam in ITF TKD, thanks for putting on you tube Miss Cross.

The hardest part I find about this is the wrist placement.. Back fist to back fist. Front fist to front fist, etc. 🤷
Nice
@dragonbalzy If that is the way she was trained and she is doing exactly they she was trained then thats on her instructors. the demo is not bad for the most part. it is just that for to me and in my opinion the bouncing just bothers me. I would agree. Power comes from turn your hip as well as relax than tensing.
Thanks from Russia
You don’t learn saju makgi until yellow stripe.
How on earth is she making that sound, its so powerful
This was very helpful for me…
I want to focus on the hand!!
I feel like if you're gonna put the romanized word for Korean, you should type it properly in Korean as well.
I understand for those who dont know 한글 (Korean writing), but honestly romanization is a pain in the ass when trying to pronounce the words correctly
Good
As a WTF tkd practitioner, I find it weird how the person moves in like a sine wave .
Why ?
action and reaction. you get more power relaxing and finally tensing your body to harden it. the wave pattern allows to prepare your body to release the technique with strength. start slow, end fast, sort of.
Ma'am It looks like you are leaning forward with both your punch, and inner forearm block. You may want to use more hip to get more Power. Respectfully in Tae Kwon Do 5th degree at 8th Degree Master Bill Lees U.S.A.
sadly i was doing taekwondo before internet, and didnt hold. this would be help, but too late :-) but very nice help for todays students :-)
Thanks for doing this, great for home repetition
Your videos are helping a lot :)
Thanks Sabumnin very useful . Im 2 Gup . Best regards to Argentina
Tai sao cứ nhúng nhúng , tức cười thật ,
Would have helped if the names were also spoken to hear the correct pronunciation. Any chance you could add them on?
Mr. Feliciano, unfortunately that cannot be correct, as the WTF was not created until the early 1970's. "Sinewave" as practiced currently is a fairly new creation, not being taught in mass until approximately the mid 80's. Would you care to clarify your comment?

❤TAEKWON!!! 👊🏻🥋🇷🇺😍🇬🇪🙏
Interesting, so if I where General Choi's student from 1958-1970...before sinewave was introduced, what would I have learned?
@TheGtx69 Some people run the thumb tightly along the side of the index finger. Others bend it and tuck it underneath the hand. Either way seems to work well and depends on who is the instructor who trained this person. In my art we do tuck the thumb in.
Thanks really very nice

her way of breathing is kinda weird. i usually ki'ap when i do this kinda stuff... but what ever floats your boat i guess?
I like slicing ants in half
Iam also Teakwon do
ITF !!!!
why she move like that
Ikr? I am only 10 and I am trying to learn.. How can I learn with some Bouncing? Maybe just a habit, my friend does it all the time while preforming Taekwondo.

ITF people always spit all over the place like that.

Hahahaha 🤣🤣 me toooo

She was in front stance not walking stance

Hi, can you please show us the three steps technique with its two forms, thanks.
The punch and moments needs to be one to generate the most power
Four Directional Punch 1:42, Four Directional Block 2:12.
I can do that, hold my console.
You are really relaxed. Your amazing
Great demonstration video
Thank you ☺️
