- Don't get me wrong, I love that darkslides are an in-game trick in Session 1.0, but for whatever reason, I'm just not a fan. Maybe it's because I suck at them in game, maybe it's because I can't do them in real life, but every time I get asked to do a darkslide in Session, something gets triggered inside me lol. In today's video, I figured it was finally time to face my fear of darkslides and do my best to do as many as I can in Session before I went insane. Did I have fun? Almost. Will I do it again? Probably not.

Darkslides and Casper’s are fun for the challenge, but the buggy quality at the moment feels inconsistent for me. I always run with it on so I can practice for when it gets modified through updates in the future. Steezy dark variations are dope to link into lines. Cheers
I spent 2 hours doing different Casper slides down a hubba ledge and it was extremely fun for some reason, I think for now the bugs add extra fun to the game to allow for weird stuff that your not supposed to be able to do lol idk I find it very enjoyable to spend a lot of time doing little pointless stuff. It’s one of the first games in a while that I can get really lost into

this is like the early days of the channel your frustration and discovery process.thats why i enjoy more your session videos.
My favorite skate videos are the ones where the skater fails at a trick for 5 minutes straight, then at the very end they stomp it. So yes, I dig it.
Idea for a follow up to your "hidden spots" video. Go to all the "main" spots that everybody always skates, but skate them in a way nobody ever skates them. Object dropper is allowed.

You should do vids like this but every once in a while put auto catch on and go insaneo- style!
You can also not have to catch on some flip tricks by listening to the pop n letting go at that time or even hold the direction your flipping
you gotta varial flip or inward heel to make darkslides look good and proper nah mean!

I never see anybody doing the Rowley style darkslides (one stick out + one stick forward). Would love to seem them used more.
I've never heard this before, if you could can you explain in some detail how to do ?
@@rustybikechain29 a normal darkslide you push your sticks in opposite directions like you would a board/lip slide. If you instead, for example push your left foot to the left and your right foot forward (90° angle), you will have your left foot on the outside of the trucks, and your right foot will be in the inside of the trucks.

@@rustybikechain29 if I recall when they first introduced darkslides in early access they briefly mentioned it in a stream they did about it and never heard anyone else mention it after that for some reason.
Do you always turn into your slides? I noticed you turn into your back rails and input down on the left stick instead of just doing an ollie and inputting left stick to the right
how do you bone your ollies and kick flips
On kinked rails, how do you say on the rail without catching air from the flat the slope of the rail
on long kink rails if you raise the gravity its easier and you don't hop the kinks
The problem with yours smiths is that you're not inputting down on the back foot to hold it

It annoys me that the devs have wasted time on darkslides, caspers, primos, pressure flips and late flips, when I’ll literally never do any of them, lol
Man they should have consulted you before adding them to the game.

I think the story is more pointless . And annoying Focus the gameplay I want RAW skating smooth transistions etc
Yeah same to be honest. Darkslides and caspers are fancy looking circus tricks that non-skaters and kids love the look of because they are easily recognisable but they are really fringe tricks in actual skateboarding.

How is session more realistic than modded skater xl even when it has specific inputs and animations for every trick?
Session is physics based
@@FocusFilmsCo the board itself is also way more physics based than XL. The way it reacts to the environment in unique ways always blows me away. In XL the board feels like its permanently attached to the player.
