I’m glad you decided to make this video. You’re the only video I could find. Creatures studios had a part 1 and 2 for basic and advanced filming but didn’t complete the “series” so they never got to explain camera hits.
Hey buddy, Yeah this tutorial is very specific and quite difficult to execute even when you know what you're doing. I'm glad itbhelped you out! If you ever make a clip using this technique and post it, feel free to tag me, I'd love to see how it turned out. And I didn't even know Creature had filming tutorials lol but it makes sense that they do. It's already more than what most dev teams would do. BUT tbh I think they are focused on other ways to keep the game going, and rightly so. If they manage to get an animator they're satisfied with and fix all their stuff, it'll be huge.

It can be finicky to get it right, but yes it is very rewarding when you get it right, it adds so much flavor to your clips. It's perfect for lines that have a lot of "nothing" between two tricks. Like sometimes instead of adding a flat-ground varial heel or 360flip between grinding two ledges, I just add this. If you try it, post it and tag me, lemme know how it went!
The eternal voice of calmness has returned! 🔥 I appreciate your videos as well as the happiness that you show while creating them, like you mentioning "a shifty like it's no one's business" 😊
I just got Session last Sunday and im loving every second of this editor the amount of mind-blowing moments ive had have been insane, its been 3 days and i have 25 hours in the game LMAO will definitely try this out when the opportunity presents!
Yess man you got the right idea when you said "when the opportunity presents". I'll drop you a sub just in case you decide to start posting your clips! I'll be happy to see what you come up with.
Yeah man I'll be the first to agree with that. The amount of creative liberty it gives is crazy, and you can push it to some insane levels of detail. It's so well made, despite bugs here and there.
I'll keep em coming for sure. And yeah Same for me man, I spend probably more than half my play time in the Replay Editor and I love every second of it. I still can't wrap my head around all the videomaking possibilities we have with this feature. It's so well made.
Great tutorial! Made me want to try this!! Even take it a step further, after the bump change the camera lens to 4:3 to make it look like the fisheye actually broke and fell off the camera mount. Would have to film the same clip twice with each lens and then use the magic of editing to make it work :)
Wow that's mind-blowing, a great idea for sure. I don't think most ppl would get it tho, not everyone experienced that IRL lol. Plus, if we really wanna explode the realism thing, the fisheye lens would fall off and everything would just stay blurry since there's no actual lens to get the camera to flcus with. I wouldn't take it that far but I love that we CAN lol of that makes sense. Yeah great idea.
Hell yeah you're right, this kinda thing really fits in something like a late90s-early00s Zero video. I'll try to keep an eye out for when you post it.

@@WhiteCranK Meh, I'll agree with you on the directly technical level, yes adobe premiere is more complete and more manageable overall. BUT we gotta keep things in perspective here. We bought a skateboarding game, not a video editing tool, lol. They mapped dozens of functions that you'd see in such a tool on PC... to a controller layout. For a tool inside a game it is the most robust i've seen of its kind, Shredders in the only game that comes close to it, that I know of. I personally can't get over how much it brings to the table. Infinite creative liberty imo.
