In your instructable your link for the power supply is wrong. That gets you a 21 VDC wall wart. These LED controllers all take 12 VDC.
You need to invest in a laser cutter. That is how I do my light boxes and I can make them in about 30 minutes once the vector files are completed cut to finish. i.imgur.com/7HgMr97.jpg

How does that leds only reflects the guitar edge of glass
It's refraction, not reflection. Light gets refracted at every edge which isn't perpendicular to it's direction of travel.
