ugh this helped me so much, i was not wedging correctly and it was embarrassing, but apparently i was just pushing the clay a little too hard. thank you so much!! 💕

I dig my own wild clays and sometimes I end up with two different colors and they fire differently so I decided to up my wedging game. I've never had a problem with cracking or exploding pots but I have broken some before and found air pockets so this video seemed like a good idea. Great video.

Thank you so much for being so nice about showing how to wedge it properly. The person who showed me made fun of me because i couldn't do it right the first time, made it hard to want to try again. You were just so nice with how you explained it, thank you

Is your tabletop made from Hardie backer board?

This feels more like kneading and less like wedging. I was confused because my "Encyclopedia of Pottery Techniques" shows wedging differently. Or is kneading a type of wedging?

There are 3 types of wedging - rams head, spiral, and stack + slam. This is rams head.
