2:03 This is still the only time I've ever seen someone punch that hole in Site Zed without getting absolutely hammered and having to surf/roll out. That is absolutely incredible that a hole like that can be punched if you hit it just right...
I can't even begin to imagine in my wildest dreams/nightmares how terrifying a Stikine swim would be... The speed and force at which the water was pulling you through those rapids would be a life changing experience if you somehow survived. There are probably only roughly around a single digit number of people who have survived swims on the Stikine and Rafa's swim in the Three Goats is the only one I'm aware of that was caught on video. The hole at 1:35 almost killed John Wasson years back which is why it has the name Wasson's Hole
@@tankmaster1018 That video is crazy to watch, to think the sport was so primitive and these dudes are getting on one of the gnarliest rivers on earth, looking back it seems equivalent to climbing everest in a windbreaker and sweats.
Was that time started at 37 bridge or entry falls ? What was the time from entry to powerhouse ? I just did my first 1 day lap at 44 years old . 8hr from 37 to Taltan with site zed portage and new guard dog rapid .
That was a sick fuckin' run guys. Aniol, got a chance to watch you and Gerd kick some ass at the North Fork Championship a couple years back here in Idaho, I'm actually from the town Payette (the town named after the river at the bottom end). Keep 'em coming! You guys definitely know how to get some good shit from a GoPro too, I gotta say.
Serrasolses Brothers You know, I don't doubt that somebody (you?) is going to pull it off. But after the lore and reputation of the Stikine, the thought of paddling THAT 45 miles in under 5 hours is beyond my comprehension. On another note, I absolutely love your videos. I paddled hard in the 90s, and have better than a faint idea of the level and talent of you young guns today. Stay safe out there and have a blast.

Thanks for the upload! I've been binge watching all the "kayak porn" because it's been over a year since I've been out paddling.
between the broken back band and the extended surf at garden of the gods 1 , you guys should be able to shave 10 mins
