Now you're just showing off Eamonn 😃 ...a sea trout and brownie double hook up on your first cast...well done, very skillful, in those tight places... great euro nymphing fishing for sea trout, and brownies ...good to watch...looks like your river has had a lot of rain /coloured up water
Thanks for the kind words ,yes send me a message on fb or Instagram and I'll show you a picture ,I don't think I can post a photo here ,I have a description of the fly on a previous comment
Eamonn, great fishing. Maybe fish could be a bit closer for a good look, that's all, especially the seatrout. Otherwise your video is excellent as usual.
hi , member from the carradale angling club in scotland here, will this method work in the low water conditions one would traditionally consign to night fishing or does it require a falling flood like regular daytime seatrout tactics ? very interesting method I can't wait to give it a shot !
Ho there,I have caught seatrout during the daytime in low conditions,I was getting them at the top of runs leading into pools in low water ,hope this helps
Great video - intrigued by this - i.e sea trout on euro set up - you said flashy flies but still caught brownies - can I ask what nymphs you were using please?
Thanks for the kind words ,I've no name for the pattern I have been using it this last few seasons, it is fire orange tail ,pearl body ,silver rib,cdc hackle and olive spectra dubbing 👌 I will try to make a video of it
Lovely fishing Eamonn, bit tight under the trees but didn't stop you connecting with plenty fish👍
Thanks Colm 👌
Great video, thanks so much for posting. Really impressed with your fish handling skills, great example of considerate, catch and release.
You're welcome, Thanks for the kind words 👌
Brilliant stuff! Euro nymphing for the Dollaghan up here is the the Rock n Roll! Tight lines! 🎣😄
I'd say so mate 👌
This is the type of fishing I’m always at. Close quarters, shaggy madness. It’s certainly helped my casting
I definitely think fishing in tight spots definitely sharpens you up
