The Burning Shores DLC is a hefty addition to the base game, demanding more VRAM for better performance and stability. Curious about how far we can push it? I tested the game at ultra settings to see just how dramatic the frame rate drops can get, but I was quite surprised with the results. Even with the drops, the stunning visuals make it totally worth it. I also tested it on ultra-wide resolution, as the 21:9 ratio feels more cinematic and provides a better immersive experience. However, users with 8GB VRAM cards may need to settle for medium textures, while users with 4GB or 6GB VRAM might struggle due to their VRAM limitations. To strike a balance between performance and visuals, I've tailored optimized settings for different GPUs. (I'll drop the links below)

Fsr 3 mod gives around 45-60 fps in medium settings in GTX 1650 in case anyone wondering. I have tested my system today and now it runs buttery smooth. Finally a decent experience.

Probably Edward Gamings FSR Mod. He posted a video with links for the mod on his youtube channel but dont expect the same performance as other people. Some people are getting 40fps etc because together with their GtX 1650 they have a good processor and lots of ram @onurriverio
In my case i get 70-80fps with the fsr 3 fg mod but it feels like 20-30 FPS, it's a crappy experience

Finally sometwo! I think the VRAM department should be more optimized too. It's crazy how I barely can make use of Low textures though while others can get away with High or even Very High textures with chonk amount of VRAM. What are the secret?

The minimum requirements for the gpu is gtx 1650 for 30 fps on VERY LOW 720p, what did u expect? That's one of the best looking games ever made. Ofc it wouldn't work on such gpu at 1080p
big kudus for testing on ultrawide settings. most channels wont do that for us ultrawide users. im getting 40-65 fps on 2560 x 1080 with optimized settings you provided for RTX3060

Do you recommend activating DLSS? I have a 3060ti and I play in 1080p, in the main story the frames were perfect, I blocked them at 70 because I wanted, but here in the dlc I noticed a lot of drops in fps 😅 I play with the graphics options all on high, depending on the area I can even go down to 45 fps. I don't know if DLSS will help much.. maybe I should try

@@XxSenpaiixX Even High settings textures are at 8.3GB-8.6GB of VRAM. Medium textures with any preset is fine. I would have used DLAA + DRS to 54fps target, but since you have a rtx 3060TI you can leave the dsr but just use medium textures and High to Very High preset with DLAA. I have a RTX 3050 8GB using custom High setting 1080p with medium textures and DLAA with DRS at 54fps. It's just a shame that the RTX 3060TI and RTX 3070 has 8GB of vram but could perform this game at 1440p since it has the horsepower but not the VRAM. Also if I use high textures, in the cutscenes I get 20-29fps and after cutscene I have 50-55fps.

Are you experiencing texture issues in this game? I'm playing with the texture set to the "High" preset, and yet many textures in the environment appear blurry and terrible. I'm quite upset about this. I have a 3060 Ti, by the way.
Vram problem bro...one you tube told me that this is actually happens after 20mins...8gb vram is not enough for this game
Play on medium textures
Use FSR 3 mod (and in game settings: AMD FSR 2.2 + Quality) for GTX 1650. You'll get around 45-60 fps

I tried fsr 3 mod but the hud flickers too much
YEAH, HUD can fixed by enabling fg, but it slutters too much. And ghosting ye. But for the moment, I think it's the only way to "enjoy" the game
@@royalhug0 fsr 3 is bugged in this game when frame generation is turned on it fixes the hud but only increases fps in numbers it disables the upscaling and the game runs at its actual framerate
Turning of frame generation in settings makes frame generation work but the hud glitches
@@Divij_M use the latest version of the mod maybe? And use dlss not fsr2 in settings...mine showing 60-70 fps which is not true I know...but I'm definitely getting around 40 or 40+ for sure...

Hey karan my laptop specs are gtx 1650ti , ryzen 3550h and 16 GB ram, but my game is not running as smooth as yours the FPS even drops in as low as 5-6 I tried using fsr 2 and even fsr 3 mod but it still stuttering if you can give any solution I will really appreciate it

@@saurabhverma9898 it's quite common for laptops to get hot during gaming,one more thing to consider that the graphic card he is using for benchmark is of pc version which is generally powerful than the laptop version.

why everyone keep saying the optimization is good its 29fps and 30 at max on low settings and fsr i get that the game is beautiful but its too much alan wake2 has better visual and run slightly better
this is DLC not base game, base game runs better at 50+ frames!
@@KaranBenchmarksnah bro just uninstalled yesterday I've 3050 max TGP lapi with 16gb 3200mhz ram gen 3 SSD and R5 5600h and I've been playing this for 8.5hrs with optimized settings and with FG and let me tell u it's a 🗑️fest at the start you'll feel kind of manageable but when u enter meridian then it's the beginning of this 🗑️ to show you real colours of optimization from that point you'll be playing on 20-30s most of the time with FG 🥴 and the cinematics in which many people appeared it goes below to sweet 6-10fps cinematics I'm kind of managing this game but as I enter playsong area for main quest while playing that main quest I can't handle it I can't it's a damn good optimzation just like ratchet but only for beasts ,😂😂
