Did you drill the lugs or is that a newer more updated model because mine's not like that the titanium and stainless steel the lugs are solid no holes

So i picked up this watch today largely based on your positive review ( found this video after seeing your Asian Timepieces stamp on an AliExpress review pic, that was a smart marketing move :).
How many clicks is your bezel (120 or 90)? I didn't catch if you mentioned it in the video, only other info I could find on the green bezel version had 90.
Also I agree the markers look a little small for the dial but went for it anyway, I may just be used to the "maxi dial" big marker style

Good video… San Martin owns the under $500 market. I have not touched a San Martin, but the fit, finish, Customer service and attention to detail is unbeatable. The Ginault Ocean Rover 2 got me off the Rolex wait list permanently. I love it. I wear it more than my Omega, multiple Tudors, and my IWC. It’s an elegant monster.

I heard a bunch of bad reviews for san martin customer service, but I do agree san martin is probably the top under 500 homage watches. With that said, I still rather have some cronos and sugess over san martin mostly because of the clasp. Other higher end ali express brands try to copy the clasps too where as san martin use their own.

That watch looks great, I’ve been looking for a video that showed this specific model with the domed crystal and the drilled lugs plus that color combination. I like it that the green is very dark, almost black, it doesn’t look too obvious. Thanks!

Yeah that green bezel looks almost black at middle light intensity. At direct Sun exposure it is a vivid and bright dark green.

I think the markers look proportionate. You can upgrade the clasp to the new 'toolless' easy adjust clasp for about $50. I did. Well worth it. With the new clasp, it competes more with Ginault.

Thats not a SN0111 as its not brushed side and no lug holes case! Very similiar but not same!!

Since SM don't offer the "perfect" modern sub-homage (for me), I went with Cronos. Can't say I'm unhappy about my choice, especially since I got it on sale for a very good price. However: I did buy the San Martin SN 0109 (BB GMT homage) and I absolutely love that watch. Build quality is excellent and in some details it is a better product than the Cronos. Like the lume whose day-color is a bit mis-matched on the Cronos with indices looking a little off-white while the hands are more "hard" white. Not an issue on the San Martin. Ignoring the movement, I'd go as far as to say that the SM is up there in quality with my two remaining Steinharts.
The only thing I don't like about it is the movement, I guess. Or maybe it's the watch's fault, but settings the time precisely is a bit of a gamble. You have to be very careful pushing the crown back in to re-start the movement or the minute hand will "jump" from its intended position, making it necessary to set the watch again. Not sure if that's an NH34/35 issue or a problem with the watch itself. Oh, and the GMT-hand has always been slightly misaligned - which *I think* might also be a problem with the NH34. At least that's what my watch-maker thought when I showed him the watch.
In any case: They do make great products and I'm kinda glad they don't offer a Sub-homage with all the details I would like - otherwise I would have to buy it.. :D

Bought the sn004 Milsub instead as this was a bit on the larger side if you have small wrists.
It fits ok on my 6.25 wrist but you can’t go wrong with that one anyway 👍🏼👍🏼

I agree. I got one from San Martin that was running around 5 minutes fast, and their poor customer service quality surprised me. I had just gotten it (US) and first they said because I had it a few days that they would have a hard time reselling it. Not my concern. Then they said I had to cover the shipping return to China, and then they would reimburse me. In the end they sent me a new NH35 movement. I'm not a watch mod'er but I'm going to try and open it and regulate it myself. My other San Martin's worked just fine, I'm just disappointed that their resolution didn't match the normal quality of their watches.

The markers are in proportion to the dial. They’d look silly any bigger
Well they are not bad but definitely not the same proportion as modern subs which I personally like more.
Anyway I later thought that if it’s a homage to a milsub, smaller markers are correct.
The clasp is a no go .
Well I prefer the smaller one they have but this one may be uncomfortable only in case somebody have a wrist under 6 inches or 16cm.
I could size the bracelet to fit ok.
The clasp is horrible compared to thebold style oyster san martin did(i luckyly have one)

I had a Ginault. Very poorly made and overhyped watch. The San Martin is so much better.
Oh I never tried one hands on but looked great and watched some positive reviews.
Anyway my guess was Ginault didn’t worth the SM x6 price.

Thanks for taking care of my health. It was already checked two months ago and no issues. I have more and I go to the doctor every year for a check in order to avoid skin cancer.
@@asiantimepieces great to hear. My father passed away from skin cancer and it runs in my family so I tend to be hyper vigilant about it.
@@willmarshall4685 I am sorry for your loss. I am taking it seriously and I check them frequently. My doctor already removed two of them. My latest surgery was last month on my chest. I only take the sun early in the morning or late in the afternoon and always sunscreen +50 grade if I take it for a short time at midday.
