Massive thanks to D’Zine for this amazing mix.
This music is like being in a complete existential crisis but also being surrounded in the bliss of the nostalgia of the best moments in your life. Like the acknowledgement the world is complete chaos but at the same time being engulfed in the beauty of it all.
massively underrated comment
Poetic✌️
We can always reminisce
Man, that transition from Heat to Finer Things was seamless! I don’t know where one track ends or the other begins! I love it!
Music for the soul mind and peace is not today's music..... This Is...
So smooth I slipped off my chair.
What a producer , one of a few back then that were making history. Goldie , Rider playing all the dubs , photek, Bukem Dillinja Hype to name a few
I’m DJing alongside ltj Bukem in Dorset in May .. and plan to play multiple wax doctor tracks. TBN being one… back to back ( jazz juice ) … legend .
The hours of my youth spent in the 90’s just letting my mind run with music like this in every setting possible ❤
That first picture is from London’s Poplar district looking at Canary Wharf
I had a jungle-jazz CD and Wax Doctor was on it... it was 1995. Made me imagine who or where the music came from ... So nice to hear Wax in 2021.
The Golden years of Drum N'Bass. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
i feel like this stuff needs to be on the voyager 1 golden record
I am just a 15 yo teenager, and honestly this music type is way better than what our generation listen too… these are some masterpieces🙌🏽👏🏽
Enjoy your life man😊 I'm hitting 50 soon, wishing I was 15 again 😂
@@RossTallo thank you bro
It is obligatory to brag about your young age under older songs. It's the law
@@shakulaka brag? Lol i am just saying that this type of song is good and better than what our generation listen to…
I’m just a 45 year old chic finding her way back to what’s still good.
Yeah nuff RESPECT wax DOCTOR from DJ NRG FOR EVER DRUM AND BASS!!
A true legend of an amazing time wen technology didn't balls it all up can't beat these stone cold classics n my top 10 4 best producer of the early 2 mid 90s genius💯😍
The visuals are also amazing here, urban aesthetics are top notch!
Talented man, played football for Reading FC too.
Wax Doctor mial i ma swoj styl ktory odroznia go od reszty
23:20 defo my fav Wax Doctor track.. strange how fav tracks always seem to be the first track you hear by an artist. Those horns.. sampled from a Guru LP I recently discovered.
First and favourite of mine as well
Love this one. Recently got into 90s UK DnB and I can't get enough of it -- especially when I am working at the computer. Cheers to Mr Fredericks for the amazing uploads. Subbed. Peace
Welcome aboard, the era was absolutely brilliant for innovative tunes 👌
@@lbukem4259 thank you mister bukem for everything
32 bar loops?! No problem, a regular! Love this guy, such a prolific producer. Thanks for the commemorative mix!
i think i used to listen to him on GreenApple and DanceNation satellite radio. i recorded every thing .how wish i still had those recordings ..they would be priceless..so much good music and fantastic mixing
DanceNation... what a fantastic name anyway!
10 minutes in- Do I see a picture of the old Kidbrooke Ferrier Estate? SE3? Demolished back in 2008- BUt people knew how to party on the Ferrier Estate. Best D7B House Parties in South London
49:34 , powerfullll !!!!!!!
one of the finest to ever do it, behind some pivotal moments in our scene
what pivotal moments? im tryna learn about this whole era I never lived during it but its such fuckjing good music and interesting
do some research, type in wax doctor and pandoras box will be open
I just had my ego death to this mix, thank you for this I’m free in my mind.
I swear there's only one, just one tune that takes me away amongst all the fucking noise and shit dnb that i see being released of late it's the Wax doctor's Offshore Drift. What a fucking tune this is..If i had the ability to award an dnb artist with a gold medal then yeah, Offshore Drift is the one. Absolutely nailed this one bang on bullseye. I just feel feel so happy when i hear this tune..This is proper gold oldie when dnb was beautiful..Oldskool king tunes rule.. Solid State's on a Journey get da silver medal :) If u can please let me know of similar tracks like this i'd be a happier man than i already am lol...Thanks for your efforts Tom, you posting some real lovely stuff and i'm loving it. Good Job.... ( You get da Bronze medal ) hehe :)
The Legend - way ahead of his time and a great producer.
gr8 photography man! awesome mix! Thank you Tom.
What a gem
big fav from that time, I remember counting 32 bar loops of many of the tracks. legend!!
Been listening to dnb, etc. for about 20 years now. Never heard this guy, at least I dont think so. A lot more mellow than Goldie, at least the track at 7:49. Or maybe a Goldie mix I heard he played one of these tracks. Goldie was in Chicago in the 90s. Either way, awesome stuff.
What a body of work Paul Saunders put out during this period. Love all these tunes but I listened to The Spectrum last night and that might just be his best!! Also love his remix of St Germain Alabama Blues
Brilliant
I love this mix with all my heart.. such awesome atmospheres..
Awesome, awesome, awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
Nice mix. Thank you for poating this for all to hear.
THIS HERE COMES FROM " MY LOVE 💓 ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💓 ❤️

Quality mixes you arrange
Thanks for the post - Back in the mid 90's i was not at all into DnB - rather Industrial and EBM stuff. Over the years i am now loving the old skool DnB, just as it branched off from Jungle. Love the atmospherics. It also brings back a lot of nostalgia as it sounds sound mid-90s. Great times.....
🔥🔥🔥 a legend even back in the day. Brings back memories.

Absolute Don ❤️thanks for the upload.

Ty for sharing
Lovely lovely lovely. This is a strong set. Very much appreciated the upload: thank you
What a sublime mix of inspired music, deep chords, melodies and deep as you like jazzy basslines
Absolutely love wax doctor, but can’t help wondering what he’s up to these days?
I heard he passed away
@@marcp3788he hasn't passed away. He was fucked over properly by R&S records at some point and didn't make anymore music. This is according to Doc Scott
Lovely! thanks
This was a nice mix .takes me back to those days in the 90s . Shame those days are gone . 😪
Summit else this!
Thank you for uploading so much good stuff, Mr. Fredericks
magnificent thank you
Thanks so much for this mix, man ... great pics .... proper selection ... big up!!! 🤘💥🎶🍻
Proper is the WORD 👊👊👊🎵🎶🎧
Geez!
I wonder what went wrong with DnB after this. We really need to preserve the vibe that these old school jungle tracks had
Fantastic
Fantastic mix! I’m familiar with a lot of these from Bukem mixes, although don’t know the names. Can someone put a track list up please? Cheers in advance 😁
Track list in the description bro 👍
Very good mix, thx
6:09 Fish and chips for £7 in London? Old photo.
That's less than a 2022 pint in some places ;-)
More dnb and jungle needs proper archives for the future of music.
Anybody else sit there waiting for the photo to change but can't forward the song on? 😅
hi mate i was wondering where these photos where taken and who took them?
the pic that appears at 15.54 is Eldica Records - one of the best black music record shops in London - ran by top man Andy
@@tobytobias74 thanks, the first photo is brilliant, its taken in london just don't know who took it, all the photos of apartments and flats etc have a real nice isolating feature to them

Anyone know what happened to wax doctor?
Doc Scott mentioned something on one of his regular lockdown podcasts about the guy from R&S records messing Wax Doctor around with money/contract issues. Seems it was enough to put him off the music business or being involved in releasing music according to the story.
I think I found him, maybe. Look on LinkedIn for his name and Imagination, Chief Information Officer. Check his photo. Could it be him?
@@danielnorman6245 I think I might have found him, not sure though.
🤩😍💓
normal'niy style =]
Love how the tracks illustrate Urban Jungle lifestyles. This artful music does not suit USA. USA feels like Hip Hop. Wax Doctor, Bukem, PFM always killin it propa.
