    I think it’s very beautiful and I think it’s so relaxing. I wish my wife would come fish with me. I live in Baltimore Maryland and I have a 15 foot bass tracker. Someone stole my motor this year so I had to use my 55 pound trolling motor that I’ve had for over eight years and I Telya I can’t wait this year to have fun and fish watching you guys very relaxing it just shows that you don’t need $25,000 worth of equipment to have fun and to enjoy fishing in every day life journey

      I am happy you enjoyed the Sundolphin video. So sorry that someone stole your motor, more and more of that happening. I agree that fishing is very relaxing, even if the fish are not biting, the scenery just makes life's troubles go away for awhile. I hope you have an enjoyable upcoming summer fishing ! I am working on a method to make fishing rod holders so my rod can extend sideways away from the boat. Adjustable of course and making use of the built in rod holders. In the spring I plan a 7 day solo trip into a wilderness lake using this boat. I hope to find some monsters hiding in this very seldom fished lake. Hope you find other videos on my channel that may interest you. Have a Nice Day.

    Looking forward to other adventures or Ideas for the boat. Here in Sask I'm taking in the Ideas through our long winter. By the way,I'm 64 about to retire and your 3 parter
    Was an inspiration to journey alone again doing over nighter. I'm an off beaten off the track Vet kind of guy.

      Thanks for visiting my channel. I enjoy fishing tamer lakes with my wife, however the best fishing and feeling of accomplishment is a solo adventure into the wilderness. My spring adventure will be with the Sundolphin , a bit harder to get into some places, but at least I can stand up at the end of the day! I hope you enjoy your retirement and have some of your own adventures with your Sundolphin boat. I am 66 , but feel like 50 ha ha.

    Where did you find those brackets to hold the seat mount to the boat

    • @ourtbay
      @ourtbay  4 місяці тому +1

      The brackets came with the seat swivel that the seat is attached to. Good question, I should have included this info.

    Ive been looking at these and tempted to buy one. How do you handle cleaning out the center and front compartments with them having no drain access? Just roll it over? I also wonder if it would hold up an old 2 stroke 15hp evenrude.

      @ourtbay  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching! I bring a big sponge to sop up water after a rain. Not the best method but better than nothing! The boat is only recommended for a 6 horsepower. I am not sure if the weight of an old 15, plus the weight of the folks in the boat would be too much. Let me know if you try it and it works.

    Are you screwing into wood or just plastic when installing the seat bracket??? I would think the holes would open up from moving around???

    • @ourtbay
      @ourtbay  6 місяців тому +1

      Very thick hard plastic. So far, the screws are holding fine.

    Love your Idea. Just bought the boat and I have the same bracket.
    Question..are there two brackets for each seat or just one. Also the seats are curved. Any Probs

    • @ourtbay
      @ourtbay  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for watching and leaving a comment ! There are two brackets for each seat. The curve in the seat does not matter. Keep in mind that these boats do not drain between seats, so make sure you bring a good sponge in case it rains a lot. I wouldn't use the oars. I have the same boat and I don't trust the oar mounts.

    • @ourtbay
      @ourtbay  8 місяців тому +2

      Hi, I totally agree about not trusting the oar mounts. However I think that if I am a long way from my truck and the electric motor conks out, I need something to help get me back. I hope I never have to find out! This spring/summer I want to go SOLO up a river , through hopefully easy rapids into a lake I never fished before. my fingers are crossed !!

      @@ourtbay What I have done is to sit up on my knees and use a single oar to paddle the boat in. I had a motot break on me in the middle of the lake. If you are waiting to use the paddles the way that you have them only if your battery/motor goes down, you will probably be fine. Enjoy your boat!

    • @ourtbay
      @ourtbay  8 місяців тому +2

      Hi, yes that would be a good solution. Those aluminum oars/paddles that come with the boat are not very strong. I could just carry a good quality paddle to help push out and paddle back in a pinch.

    Put a Life Jacket that woman!!!

    • @ourtbay
      @ourtbay  Рік тому +1

      Ha Ha. When she is catching fish, it would be hard to force a life jacket on her. When we are in quiet water and not moving fast, we sometimes just keep our life jackets near us. Thanks for watching and Thanks for worrying about her !
