I haven't seen any video of real world drive of their level 3 system. The real world is much crazier than a test track with perfect lane marking and perfect lighting

I can't even begin to imagine all the electrical issues with that car, no thank you.
The people driving those will have it for 12-24 months and then trade it in for something else. Electrical issues will probably start a couple years afterwards.

good for long drives , but laws won't allow for sleeping while your car drives you to your destination for maybe 15 more years ... tesla supposedly has this tech ready now but country/state laws won't allow it

anyone know how wide the front seats are?? i currently have a 750li beemer and the front seats are huge (i'm a big guy 6'6'' 310lbs) ... i only ask because i was looking into getting the s class but in this video that thin german guy looked like even he was already filling out that front seat .... is there a website i can go to to check out the specs/dimensions of the front driver seat???

The new s class has fully restored my confidence in the future of Mercedes Benz, Tesla is just a bubble that will pop once Mercedes goes 100% into battery powered cars
It has been said repeatedly and it keeps being proven true, Tesla is years ahead in battery technology and self driving software, other manufacturers will not catch up anytime soon.

I’m getting this Mercedes 2021 S Class
I have a 1980s S class and its easy to work on should anything go wrong - many things I can do myself. On these newer cars there is so much tech - what happens in 10 -20 years when it stops working? Will it be too expensive to repair? Will the cars be throwaway items after 20 years?
The screen in the center console is way too aggressive to break the whole ambience. While sitting inside the car or driving it, you aren’t interfering with the screen but what’s in front of you. In addition, assuming that someone wants a big screen in the middle, no one will heavily rely on it because it is only an isolated data island. We can lower our expectation if the current s class is already at the pinnacle of the manufacturing of a luxury automobile, but please don’t simply put a screen in a car to show the Mercedes’s thought of the future of automobiles.
One way to rescue W223 is to heavily modifying the Maybach version. And another one is to offering an alternative design of the center console and let the consumers to choose.

I think the new S-Class went too techee for me.
I know it's the future but a bit too much digitization for me.
Like the design except the back , it looks too bland and generic.
But I love the interior leather , and that wood grain finish with the white stripe design looks very very cool !

Am I the only one that doesn't like the fat bezel screens at all. S klass was for a long time my favorite but I switched to Bentley Flying Spur. I love the technology but the ugly screens and plastic look interior is a no go. Hope they will change it in the 2022 model
what's your guess for this btc halving peak? my guess is 40k and then there will be a year long bear market that pushes it back down to where it is now 14k - 16k
When do you plan to do the CLA 250E?
This is high tech for confart and safety. Very convenient. I feel it's under costed for all the techs here. But exterior not amazing as the former, though this segment is not about exterior looks.

I hate when the car is aided with computer that controls the driving experience, I had an accident once with my escalade because of that, my car suddenly hard braked in which it was not necessary and the car behind me crashed into my car...
After that I turned off all controls from the computer.
Sometimes errors happen with the program.
But there is still one question not answered in my opinion:
Wich door mechanism does the new s-class have?
As Standard it comes with normal door handles, but you can option the fancy tesla like door handles if you want.

It looks incredibly dated even though it’s all new. It uses over 10 year Old design cues and components.

@@simon_m3 Hmmm that is not what I meant. What I mean, is that with the W222 Mercedes went a completely new way. They finally outgrew the contemporary design that the cars had up until that point. The designers were allowed to build something truly otherworldly by maximizing the interior and exterior design cues and components, while delivering this in a stylish classic Mercedes way.
With this new one, they use the same door handles and seat controls as those on the W221, and certain parts of the interior are too familiar to that car. Add to that the cartoonish new lighting, the screens and components and what do you end up with? You end up with a confused, cluttered mess with no sense of direction or overall theme. Continuity took a hike with the new S-Class. The new, "oh so enlightened, minimalist bla bla bla" car, ended up being the most overdesigned and unnecessary thing they've ever built.
I need an S class coupe built fully by AMG!

The s class is supposed to look and feel regal, luxurious, and graceful, like the previous gen. This iteration seems futuristic, harsh, and impersonal.
Still a sweet car nonetheless.

With so much of S class videos by almost all car vloggers, it seems that Merc has been actively promoting it monetarily so that this no so cool design can also be marketed. The looks of S class are disheartening at the least.

Truely nice car, but what I very much dislike is the instrument panel. No matter how far in the future we will end up, analog displays with a needle for speed and rpm will always look better than a flat display without a soul. And I truely believe that most people will feel the same. Rate me up or down to agree or disagree
What about suspension on a bad road???
The car is so expensive and modern but still the UA-cam video on the mbux wasn’t running really smooth. Tesla can definitely do this better they even have Netflix.
