Their Animation Quality seems pretty freaking alright tho? Most 2D Studios nowadays wouldn't be able to do that anymore. Maybe because of Budget and Time Problems but still 0-0
Actually it's also because they tend to use digital animation shortcuts which tends to restrict what they can do with the animation. Like if you look at MLPFiM, which was animated in flash and compare it to the movie which was done in _hand drawn_ 2DCGI you can tell the show is a bit limited by its medium. It's the reason the fandom goes nuts every time they see a face that uses (a) new symbol (s)
I wish this type of cartoon would make a comeback. No deep plot, no deep characters, just anarchic imagination, slapstick, funny visuals, great music, and no shits given.

Troll Physics: Infinite Flying! Step One: Crouch down. You need minimal volume to fly up, and being in a ball shape will reduce* your surface area by 30%. Step Two: Put your hands down to your feet. You're going to lift your feet upwards. Step Three: Now lift. Eventually, you will be able to fly without needing an airplane or wings. Problem, Birds? *By "reduce", we mean increase your surface area, since there will be more air resistance.
When Goldylocks said "You would!" I think she simply meant he would, because it tastes really good, to convince him. Or she's implying that he's a man of good taste, trying to flatter him. OR or, it's a backhanded insult and she's implying he's simple-minded, and thus would love something simple like cheese enough to get distracted immediately.
"Go-a home to your house!" 5 min later: "Stop! What-a you mean she goes? She's a stay here!" This bear is my best friend's Italian dad whenever we hung out at his house.

I'm glad that you made this, this was a very interesting retrospective of this company that I personally never heard of even though they were one of the first animation company's ever. I am also impressed by how smooth and well done the animation for their cartoons are, it's impressive for them being the "tiger electronics" of animation at the time.
Good job on this video. Back in the EARLY 70's, as a kid, watched a LOT of Terrytoon cartoons on TV. Had not seen them since then and had forgotten about Terrytoons in general. "Luno The Magic Stallion", "Hashimoto" and "Hector Heathcote". Stuff I haven't seen in years, now on UA-cam. :-)
I laughed at the small parts of those cartoons more than anything on TV nowadays, these are such treasures and honestly, it's better that they stay that way and not be ruined by corporate greed.
It's always great to see these old animated shorts make a come back in modern day. I remember watching a good amount of Terry Toons during History of Animation class in college and yeah, the Beanstalk Jack one definitely has some great moments. I also took a History of Anime class and we watched Taro the Dragon Boy which is pretty fun, though not as old as The Three Bears.
I *love* old and obscure cartoons. There are a lot of gems from decades ago. I personally like the ones from classic Fleischer Studios like Betty Boop and Popeye and Superman, but Terrytoons had some good stuff too. I'm happy to see other people looking at them.
This cartoon was first shown on “Mighty Mouse Playhouse” in the 1950’s, but later in syndication on one of the shows including “Captain Kangaroo” but I’m not sure. It was first including on VHS from Children’s Video Library as part of “Fairy Tale Classics Vol. 2” that contains this cartoon which was a TV version minus the theatrical opening and closings.
This is fricking amazing. I can't believe you made this, my dream has come true. Saberspark making a spaghet history video. That was my dream last night. Glorious.

That's the whole problem, there shouldn't be such a thing as "the meme community" in the first place. Memes are supposed to happen organically, like back in the good old days when they would start as random in jokes on 4chan or wherever before spreading out to the greater internet naturally.
My grandparents had a VHS with a lot of their cartoons on it, including Mighty Mouse. I remember watching that so many times. My personal favourite was a cartoon about an egg who gets hard boiled. Their animation is so unique and interesting, I love it.
Aww man I haven't heard of Terrytoons in forever! Their cartoons were cheap to air I suppose and I used to see a lot of them when I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s, back when it was more common to air older cartoons in general.

I miss cartoons like these. They had so much anarchic imagination, such great slapstick, smooth movements and great music. Why don't we make cartoons like these anymore? Today it seems like every single cartoon needs to have a plot and character development and stuff. That's all fine and good, but sometimes you just wanna see something fun that doesn't take itself seriously... at all. Where the plot can just be resolved by beating the shit out of the villain.
