It's because hardly anyone played the game. It came out in November 2015 and just had over 200 players a day. At the end of 2016 it had over a thousand players for the first time. I bet if we now had the game from 2015/2016 everyone would still complain. I also assume that you have not played the Isle in 2015. The devs put in more effort than ever before and for this small studio what they are doing at the moment is really good. Unfortunately, some people don't appreciate that.
Honestly, this version was such a blast to play The ambiance always gave me a bit of a scare-every time I heard a roar, it added to that constant sense of alertness. It really made you feel like you had to stay on your toes as a dinosaur
This is amazing. The classical days isle was definitely the most aesthetic time in the game's history, there was something almost ethereal about it.Would be possible to release it if it wasn't monetized though? As far as I know that should make it technical legal but I'm not positive. Regardless this aesthetic really is amazing and if you have other more original projects it would be good to take general inspiration from this period.
@@NotCanydes What sort of risk? Either it's illegal or it isn't. I'm fairly certain with creative works you can technically make anything you want if it isn't monetized. Anybody can write a fanfiction for instance. I think it would be more productive to determine if it's illegal or not first, by looking up the issue or asking around in places that would have people more knowledgeable on the subject. But if it's legal why not? It's unfortunate but copying stuff people already know is one of the best ways to get people to know about you and generate interest for other projects as well. I think it'd be worth looking into.
@@NotCanydes Okay yeah a quick search suggests it is still illegal to publish or distribute game assets like that. I am convinced there has to be a workaround however. GMOD exists after all. Thank you!
its the isle
yep, thats the isle for you.
man what i would give to go back for a lil bit
Yeah, the 2015 era had just something that the current Isle is missing.
you can. you can just play the legacy version ^.^
the servers are still up and a lot of people still play that instead of evrima/the new one

Ah yes the memories about almost completely forgotten times of the isle. Models from the stomping land deadly austroraptors and shant 1 calls
I can showcase those too once I get them working :)
"Wish I could turn back time
To the good old days"
I remember a UA-camr named the Air Conditioner and played the Isle at that time! Nostalgia!😊
Wish we could rewind time and go back to this.
Yeah
I miss you so much stomping land rex. :(
I bought TSL years ago and its so sad to see everything disappear.
The models and the style were so good.
Sometimes I wanna go back just for a little while to experience the nostalgia lol
man i remember the alpha version of this game as well, think i have more hours on it than the official isle
This is all we needed
The thing i regret the most is not buying the game sooner, i lost alot
Yeah, same here.
Btw I love your videos^^

Where my love for the game started
Man the old isle was such a path blazer it’s such a shame to see how far it has fallen.
OMG! ITS THE PAST! IN THE PRESENT!
Has it been so long?
I still remember when I played with my friends in Region 2 and the first interaction of V3 and v4.
About 9 years :D
Time flies by
Omg i miss that time of the isle so much
I remember I used to watch someone play the isle ages ago though it was anth but I couldn’t find the videos I remember
finally someone made this video
ah, the nostalgia
Pretty sick!!
looks like pretty cool
Thats really cool

Did you make this or did you just lower down the versions? if not, that's pretty impressive
I coded it by myself fully. I just took the assets and put them together and made everything functional.
Anyone remember the bio-luminescent skins?
