It doesn’t exactly “click” but mine makes a subtle snap when it’s all the way in. You shouldn’t be able to pull it out without pressing the release buttons.
This is worthless for those of us that need to add the connecting pieces to the side. If you can’t figure out how to insert this piece into the two side holes you shouldn’t be wheeling babies around. Now if you could provide me a video that doesn’t have THE newest available stroller and that actually requires you to utilize the whole adapter kit this would actually be helpful.

Does it work with any car seat? I was gifted the stroller and it comes with the adapter already.
