- The main strategy here is to just do unsheathe attacks, and charge when you can, on the tail. It's pretty similar to how LS works, so check the main guide video for a bit more detail) The main difference is how you handle Diablos landing after being sonic bombed.
Position yourself on the outside of Diablos' shadow, pay attention to what I'm doing in this video for specifics, you should be able to get level 3 charges on his tail pretty consistently that way. Otherwise, it's the same as most other Diablos fights, just dodge the charges, hit the tail, AND KILL THOSE DAMN APCEROS.
Seriously!! They will just butt their stupid heads into your fight and ruin EVERYTHING. They'll nudge you out of position while you're trying to charge, they'll knock you down as you're running away from Diablos' charge, getting you hit... It's awful, they're awful. Make sure they stop being awful.

Yeah the swipe attack moves you forward a little, and the upward swing moves you backwards a little, it can be pretty helpful sometimes :)

😄 Yeah it's more consistent than trying to get it to hit head on for me... Diablos/Monoblos etc always seems to find a way to just not get stuck when they should 😩

How do I beat Diablos!?
I'm well prepared with all my gear to oppose it!
But I can't seem to win at all.
Its horns can get stuck in the wall but I don't think I can recognize any damage.
Well, you really want to aim for its tail as much as possible, to put it in perspective:
Imagine you're dealing 100 damage to Diablos, if that damage hits Diablos' head, with cutting damage you'll be doing 25 damage, if it hits his tail, it's 60, with impact it'd be 10 to the head, 55 to the tail, with a bowgun it'd be 25 to the head and 75 to the tail, though it's highly unlikely you'd be doing 100 damage, really in general, but especially with bowguns lol.
The best way to hunt Diablos is to get close enough to it so that when it charges it only does the short charge, so you can hit the tail, then you should be close enough for it to do another short charge, etc. If it does a longer charge, just sheathe your weapon and dive out of the way, and try to get close enough for it to do a short charge again.
My next video is the double Diablos quest with a light bowgun, you can maybe use that to get past it? It's a somewhat easier way, a lot of people will say "use pellet shot vs the blos" and, like, yeah... though it's much riskier because you take more damage with gunner armor.

Not a Bowgun user anymore.
The Diablos kept on charging my butt whenever they get a chance to.
I just use Speartuna GS to beat them into submission.

What Function of the Expert Jewel does?
The Expert Jewel adds Expert skill points to armor, which (when enough of the skill is acquired, most of the time at least 10) will activate "Reckless Abandon" which will increase your weapons affinity, which is your critical strike chance. If you have 10% affinity, then 10% of the time, your weapon will deal 25% more damage. If you have -10% affinity, then 10% of the time your weapon will deal 25% less damage.

You can google "MHFU Armor Skills" and find a full list of them in game and what they do, I use it pretty often.
Whim just makes it less likely for bugnets and pickaxes and flutes to break.

Yep lol, it's the most consistent way I've found to get him stuck, most times he stops just before the pillar or just charges and then stops like it's not supposed to get stuck 😒

@@HeadHunter455 imma try that when i melee him, cuz right now i keep bowgunning diablos with pellet shots to it's tail. Nearly killed it in just 6 min. Diablos and the other blos monsters are extremely weak to pellet shots to the tail

Only some weapons have slots for decorations, you attach decorations to them the same as with armor, through the smithy guy.

Yep, each weapon and armor will have its own amount of slots, from 0 to 3, and each decoration will take at least one slot, but sometimes requiring more than one.

Diablos' tail goes up slightly at that time of the animation.
Of course the hitboxes are incredibly accurate when it comes to monsters, but not for their attacks huh.

Yeah, it's super helpful.
It's less important in High Rank since they stay underground for a much shorter period of time, but still pretty useful.

That strategy with wall pinning Diablos could have been better if you aim for the tails XD
Remember, only way Diablos can be stuck to walls if both horns are still there
Only break both horns if you really need too farm them, if you just want tails or other drop keep attacking the tail and bait it to walls

tbh i never really get the horns caught in any other area, and i dont really get the diablos caught in walls in general. It just happened so I took it, and Diablos kept charging the wall because I was in front of him. If I went for the tail, it wouldn't have. Doesn't matter too much.

I know how frustrating it can be to watch someone play and they seem to have all the luck when it comes to what the monster does and where they are. Luck is part of it, but for times where luck doesn't favor you, you'll need to rely on your own skill.
