I got the Midsommar 4k Edition from A24 and its wonderful. I love the movie and the packaging is great, plus, its the Directors Cut which is ACTUALLY better than the theatrical cut.
I have it too. The ONLY nitpick I have for the Midsommar disc is that it is barebones. I mean the director’s cut is amazing and it looks wonderful in 4K so I’m glad I own it nevertheless.
I own their collector’s of Midsommar and Everything Everywhere All At Once. They come in immaculate packaging. I don’t regret spending a little extra on them.
The sense of being there is helped as there are virtually no shots of the audience, all the focus is on what is on stage, i watched this to death on vhs when first released…. i will get it at some point…..it’s such a great concert put to film, even my daughter loves it and she’s 27
I pre ordered it and it looks fantastic and atmos is very good. I have this on multiple hard disk formats over the years and the specialty records vinyl og. This sounds great
I’d love to get this movie and others from A24. But sadly delivery to Europe from their website is absolutely ridiculous. $75 in shipping! Quite a shame honestly…
Just got mine and gonna watch it this weekend. I've seen the film before but can't wait to see it in 4K in the home theater. Not a big fan of the oversized packaging though. Like you suggest, I now have to find somewhere to put it as it won't fit on the shelf with my other concert blu-rays.
I did the same and imported this in to Aus, love the packaging and all the special features. Film itself looks and sounds fantastic, great to have the extra songs too. Don't know if I'll get any other A24 releases for the time being as the shipping was pretty steep, but really happy with this
Shipping price stopped me from ever buying anything from A24. Shipping to Europe cost 75 damn dollars, there’s no way in hell I can justify paying that much. How much was shipping to AUS?
I like Talking Heads and this film - but not enough to pay to get the special edition shipped to me in Canada. I would buy a standard edition if that ever becomes an option.
I really want to buy some Blu-rays from them, but the international shipping costs more than the Blu-ray itself! Sucks when they are exclusives, although they are great editions.
@@infamousdnt Right! The worst part is that production has completely ceased for Mexican Blu-rays. The last one released was Nope, and they have confirmed no more Blu-rays will be made for México ever again 😔
I still like physical as backup but certainly don't need all these 'fancy' box sets, oversized packaging, booklets, etc....but that's just preference on my part.

This was my second one after The Lighthouse, which of course Arrow then announced about a week after I’d ordered it! Obviously I got that one too

@@marcjohnson3553 wasn't much better, $60 for shipping but i got a t-shirt as well so at least it wasn't paying all that for just one thing
Looks like A24 partnered with HMV, at least for this release, in the UK. You don't have to import this. This releases in HMV in the UK on June 21st.

I imagine a standard edition will come from some label, if not A24, at some point - the film is too good to not have a wider disc release!

I bought the Lamb 4k from a while back and the shipping was pretty reasonable. They seem to have hiked it something awful since then.
This sounds and looks awesome! But with shipping to Germany it is $107 😮. I will have to pass, maybe for a movie I really love.
I think people get off on packaging... Im fine with digital 1:1 rips... Less space, less waste. Buy laserdiscs if you want packaging and awe.
