Having drone footage gets us spectacular views that had been available only to birds . Brilliant photos again Mads, look forward to seeing more from Iceland . Fantastic 50th. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations to the 50th video in this great series! 👍 You are really the benchmark, in Iceland photography! Many thx and keep on your awesome work!
Here's to the next 50 Mads, as the first 50 have been epic and an inspiration for anyone planning to go to Iceland. Loved the images and the cinematography was truly excellent. Great work as always 👍
Wow! Vertigo drone shots. Amazing stills. Clever blending of the different shutter speeds to give an interesting effect in the shot from below the waterfall. Thank you for posting.
Putting a thumbs up for this video seems so terribly week..if more UA-cam content creators had this level of quality it would end cable television...this was an epic, beautiful, amazing video.
Taking in many of your videos, two comments come to mind. The first is enthusiasm: I tend to believe one photographs well what one has a strong good feeling for. The scene has to inspire the photographer who then feels emotionally compelled towards the subject. What comes out of your general attitude is precisely that: you vibrate in accordance with your subjects, you seem to feel enthusiasm. The second comment pertains to your choice of Music «illustrating» your photographs. I dearly care for Music (mainly Classic, currently 20th Century Classical) and I am very sensitive to the fact your choice of musical scores strengthens what your images convey. Another very fine video, Mads. Thank you very much. Your videos are thought provoking and informative.
You did it again!! .. "The touch" ... I love Iceland. I was there and in the highlands in summer 2018. I was surrender with the beauty of the Mother Earth and I have very clear that I will return again but this time on my own. I saw a lot of videos of Iceland and some of them from photographers, but, this is the most "EPIC" one. ;-) Congrats once again Mads.
OMG Literally a jaw dropper! I watched with my mouth hanging open, and may have audibly gasped. I love the new music, and the drone footage is, dare I say, epic :)
Another fantastic series Mads .. your compositions are exquisite! And the drone images are really sensational! The music complements all your series . Credit to you for the time and effort you have dedicated to these blogs ., 👌🏻👏👏👏
Great! I think I saw them all 😀 Last year I visited Iceland as well and as a beginning photographer I had so much support by all your video's, skills and inspiration! Up to the next! 👍🏼
Still enjoying your video's after 3 trips to Iceland. Since you visited the Haifoss & 2 places nearby, I can guess your next location as being my favorite spot on this planet
I'm so excited to see his photos on the next video (100% agree with you regarding "favorite spot on earth " ) !!!! will never ever forget the moment when the low clouds dissipated and for a few minutes the most amazing scenery showed in front of me ... that moment was so "powerful" that I saw people just sitting on the ground and crying . Also betting that he brought amazing drone shots of Sigöldugljufur . Need to go back .... :)
The new opening is outstanding, and I feel that I will get "This is like nothing I've ever seen before" stuck on my mind, but I did miss "I think it's worth it, incredible light" as well as "I'm literally on top of the world."
I grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada with lots of rock-cuts (which are barely bumps compared to your Iceland images) but I have been in Southern Ontario for 45 years, which is prime, flat farmland. Although I am very happy here the ``character`` in your landscape images is a welcome break that sparks fond memories of hiking in harsher terrain. Thanks for sharing - awesome drone footage as well!
Congrats for your 50th Iceland video !!!! Looking forward to further episodes ....... . Love the oasis-location ..... never seen such a location in Iceland ! What is the best month to visit this locations and where can you stay best if you want to be there for several days in the highlands ?
My favorite region in Iceand, The Highlands. We rented a 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser with 350,000 miles on it from SAAD car rentals. It was a beast on the Highland F roads. Love how you photographed Haifoss. So many photographers use long shutter speeds on the falls but to get the true feeling of power and beauty shooting around 1/100th of a second freezes the sheets of water pouring down. I am curious if you have been to Axlafoss off F210. We could not get there as portions of F210 were stilled closed in late June.
Thank you so much for the amazing tips of photography and the ways you take pictures! I once been to Iceland and it was the best place I ever been to and I also went to chrome hill in Britain from the interest I got from one of your videos. I am 11 years old and I learn a lot from your tips, thanks!
Playing catch up on the video as I have been away chasing the Northern Lights (nope not once !!) . Iceland is fantastic and Haifoss is now on my list for the next visit .
Excellent picture of the waterfall with the mountain behind it. The sun flair is a nice added touch. I’m assuming that this would be a nice sunset picture also if the setting sun lights up the scene?
Great drone footage again, Mads, and Gjain looks made for drone work. That's also got to be an area worth working for stills, you'll just have to go back!
I really enjoyed the video and the explanation that you gave regarding the location and image. It would be helpful to me and potentially other photographers if you posted the lens used and mm, f stop, shutter speed and ISO. Thanks for taking such care in presenting your work.
Good to see you in YOUR element Mads. Though i like every vlog of you, this is what you realy are good at, and where i learn a lot from. Enjoy the dronefotage very much. Great vlog. Thnx.
Super comme d’habitude. Je ne savais pas que l’on pouvait descendre à Haïfoss. J’y retourne en Septembre... Pour Gjain, difficile effectivement d’avoir des compositions complètement satisfaisantes. BRAVO
The more new places you share, the more I need to go there and experience it. My problem is that I know it is getting more and more crowded and I like being a loner when shooting. I would need a 4X4 camper, lots of time and you as a guide (LOL).
Finally ! 😄 Great as always, and funny we went to the same places and struggled with composition in Gjain and Pjofafoss. Nice locations to watch but hard to photograph. Your drone shot from Gjain turned out nice 👍
Really nice video and images as always. I love shooting waterfalls and rivers in combination with the landscape. Must travel to Island and visit some of the locations that you have shown. Think that the biggest problem will be to select which ones to see (i.e. which ones not to see) visit)... ;)
Mads, do you have any thoughts of doing any highland workshops? I think you could talk me into one. I did the southern coast and would love to do another trip into the highlands.
Congrats to your 50th iceland episode - what a number! I think you should slowly think about changing your name into Mads Peter Iceland ;) Really impressing works, Mads - I love them all!
Mads, I am curious as to your filter and shutter speed used in the long drone exposure of the Gjain Oasis. Lovely image and impressive stability of there Macic 2 Pro!
Thanks for the video and the series Mads. Very enjoyable and educational. Have you seen a big increase in the numbers of people at these venues over the time you’ve been making the series?
Only at the most popular but that's mainly due to general tourism. Not really photographers. Hitting the right time of day and conditions you can have almost all iconic locations to yourself :)
Hello mads great stuff ‘ how did u capture the shot of Burrell sun burst on mountain side’ what aperture and did u use filter to balance the exposure’ being to Iceland once ‘ but looking at this makes me want to go again
My burning question about your Iceland series (after I have been the 3 times now) is ....How do you keep from loosing your drone? After nearly loosing one to the fierce winds I was wondering..... Have you lost a drone yet?
Ah dude you’ve got me so hyped to go! I’m going in feb next year I’m gonna try and vlog it on my vlogging channel Dan unplanned But I was wondering if you would have any advice or a full frame mirrorless camera for getting started! I’m a total photo novice but what would you recommend to get me started? Cheap but good if such a thing existed
If your aim is the auroras the Sony a7III is likely your best bet + a fast prime lens. As a photo novice I'd recommend you to go and practice like crazy before your trip. That's more important than a FF camera ;)
Mads Peter Iversen could you recommend any where I could pick up a cheaper second hand Sony a7iii that’s what I’ve got my heart set on for everything arouras(I doubt it will beat the display I had from Finland this year ) Landscape and possibly vlogging on it on my Dan unplanned channel!
Lens(es) may be more important than camera (body). Full frame is heavier & bulkier than cropped. You'll probably gonna climb when you visit the highlands so take weight & backpack volume into account for camera and drone gear (if any)
Bartjes I don’t really have the money for anything special at the moment if you see my vlog channel it’s just a GoPro hero 7 black a rode mic I just wanna have nicer equipment
@@MrRealprogaming Maybe then you should drop the notion of mirrorless and go with some of the used DSLRs that are currently being sold by people switching to mirrorless. Prices on used SLR lenses have dropped quite a bit the last couple of years.
@@MadsPeterIversen I'm 68 and Iceland is on my bucket list. I walk 3-5 miles per day now but it looks like in this vid you may be walking more than that. In Wisconsin I do a lot of woodland walks and your vids on this subject are very good, so thanks for all the tips you shared.
I have seen many vlogs saying you can get there in a 2WD but you are recommended to get a 4x4. I think in the summer as long as it’s dry you may have a better chance. I’m going here in May and May have to get a 4x4.
The Icelanders are pretty worried about mass exposure in the area of Langisjor and Holmsarlon area. Your profile probably has the ability to do that....

Once agian, a brilliant video. Thanks Mads.
Another stunning Iceland video. Your series is nothing sort of breathtaking Mads - you should be so proud.
Thank you so much, Nigel! Means so much coming from you! 🙏
Fantastic photos...so love that you captured the rainbow!
You are a Master and a genius, an absolute stand-out! Brilliant, as usual.
One of your best episode in Iceland. It brings back magical souvenirs
What magnificent scenery and footage 😍

Fantastic 50th. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations to the 50th video in this great series! 👍

4:50 That is the perfect shutter speed. Love the textures in the water.
Here's to the next 50 Mads, as the first 50 have been epic and an inspiration for anyone planning to go to Iceland. Loved the images and the cinematography was truly excellent. Great work as always 👍
Thank you so much, Jim! Let's see if there'll be another 50. Another four is planned for now ;)
Another incredible video Mads...can't wait for the next one and shame on the person who unliked it....there's always one!!!
Congratulations on 50 episodes. I just watching them all and working my way to towards your current 300 plus.
You´ve done it again bro. Inspiring people, a gift.
