Problem with the variable ignition timing is that it increases temperatures. I don't think there were many AC engines with that variable timing. Only a WC liquid with its regulation system could withstand very agressive timing curves. Actually a heavy flywheel is better for top speed, the loss during the acceleration phase (compared with a lighter flywheel) is in fact stored in the mass of the flywheel. The difference is probably not much but still exists.
I've modified the ignition cover to draw in some fresh air while riding cause it does get pretty hot. Not sure the cylinder itself gets hotter because of it? So far still running good 👌

It's actually showing less than I'm actually doing due to running 2.75 tires instead of the original 2.5
