People are used to seeing American-style houses that take up far more space than necessary! Obsessed with this cozy, minimalist, timeless vibe. It's extravagant without being LOUD. Beautifully understated.

You’re crazy if you think this house isn’t “taking up far more space than necessary “. The house is massive and completely empty, if anything minimalism is THE definition of taking up more space than necessary 😂

I really love the theme of this house, because for me when I'm home I wanna be relaxed and surrounded by peace and just serenity. this is so beautiful, its minimal, cozy and just the best.
Sleek and modern, but very cold. Miss some cozy and personal elements and colours
I actually felt there is so much personality and eye for detail, so much love in every nook. What we saw now is just the basics I think, they have yet to move in. 💚

The room at 2:52 gives me chills… it scary empty
6:05 I totally understand this, and love that they had an awareness of this issue and covered the edges. I remember as a kid, at our country house there would be this bunkbed and everytime you stepped on the latter it felt like knives cutting into your feet. Our grandpa was good at carpenting, and during one visit he sanded the edges to make them round instead of super sharp- after that it never hurt. Such odd construction for children’s furniture when the edges are hard/sharp (sure it looks nice, but isn’t practical at all).
I always fear my kiddo will hit her head or eye on sharp corners so I got her a plastic bed.
It felt so serene just watching this! You can tell from the video how peaceful it is and how much thought you guys put into all of the details. Very inspiring and Laurens’s comments were hilarious per usual! Lol

I agree. I think that kind of style comes off very cold, like clean walls, no art and all the materials, only stone in the same color. I also wonder what it is like for a child to live in a home like that with no color..

Beautiful Home!!! A cheap and easy fix for sharp corners is a pool noodle, sliced down one side - cut to fit and wrap around sharp edges! Also, colorful for Mint ❤😊

Your home is stunning! It's not the style I'd personally go for (obsessed with the 1800's farm houses in my area), but I appreciate how cool, clean, and modern it is.
You should just get a sander and sand down the corners and edges. Smoothing out corners and edges is the most gratifying part of sanding so it would be a very fun project.

It's lovely! Well-earned! I esp love the concrete and the natural materials. (As for Mint's bed, you could have a carpenter to sand and round those hard edges of the bed. Then maybe put some padding around the rounded tops and cover the padding with a pretty fabric.

Your mother is so right with the fence! We're having a house with a lake and my kids both fell into it as young kids. They've been rescued, but I was completely in shock bc kids are drowning silently, you don't hear a "splash" or something, just silence. A friend's brother did anyway at his mother's house, when he was 4 and his sister (age 7 or 8 at that time) always told her mom: "Close the door of the pool fence, it's dangerous!" and the mother didn't.
You don't have to be anxious about everything, kids need to experience both success and failure to learn, but safety is non-negotioable when it comes to water. All the best!
