Great overview, especialky from a Spyder's persective. I have not yet ridden in NC to experience the Tail of the Dragon. I've done the Back of the Dragon and it was awesome. There are so many rides on my bucket list that I'm looking forward to after my retirement 😁👍👍
Nice video thanks for sharing. 👍🏻 like someone else commented you should post again in real time.it will be a long video for sure but it will also be beautiful to watch. 👍🏻 please post again in real time. Thanks. DJ Project, been really enjoying my new F-3S. Thought I’d never be able to ride again. After over 35 years of ridding on the street. It was a killer to think of never being able to ride again. Then I saw the Spyder at one of my stops at work. Wow I’ll bet I could ride one of those. YES I CAN!!! I had a major stroke a few years back it was a long journey back to normalcy and my balance never returned 100%. I spent 9 months in recovery and did quite well with lots of rehab. Doing great now. Back to work and I can work 10 to 12 hours Monday through Friday. Some of the people in my rehab weren’t so lucky. God was really with me. Thank you lord in the name of your son Jesus Christ.🙏🏻 love the video, the ride looked awesome! My wife and I rode hundreds of miles together on my bikes in the past. My last 2 wheeler was a Honda Valkyrie, we loved that bike. It was like ridding the living room couch. So comfortable and smooth. Miss my Valk. I still have my original 1sr street bike in the garage. BTW, it’s NOT for sale, period. 1983 LTD 750 Kawasaki. What a great bike. Someday I hope I can ride it again. I hear their are some balance exercises I can do to improve my balance. I’m too busy for that rite now, still working. Maybe after I retire in a few years I’ll have time to work on that. But for now I’m gonna keep Sydering!!!😉
I am so sorry that all that happened to you but you are an inspiration to me and others for how far you have come. Yes the Spyder is great for you. I do believe you will ride that motorcycle again. Just keep working on it even thought you are busy so you can get stronger. I am going to do a second video which will be the same but not faster. I did this one faster because it was the Dragon so tomorrow (Saturday) I will work on it. I will share the link here.
Bucket List for sure. Gorgeous daY for SpYdering. Colorado has some awesome highways, not as intense as the Dragon, but thrilling in their own rite. Love the snapshots of Your beautiful SpYder. Fun daY for making great memories. 😃. Thanks for the Ryde along. StaY Alert. rYde Safe in a fun waY. Keep on SpYdering. 😎🇺🇸.
Congratulations! That is totally awesome. We have some different ride videos so go ahead and subscribe if you get some time and check them out. We are a full-time RVers so we're hauling it around the US with us The last 3 and 1/2 years. I'm currently working on a video where we ride to some different dunes braches and oceans in California.
Did the tail on a couple of Harleys a few years back. It can get pretty intense riding 2-up on 2 wheels. Enjoyed watching. The South Dakota area is my favorite
We rode Iron Mountain and Needles Highway when we were just there. And so far we are riding around Yellowstone which is interesting but not the same. I am working hard to be able to ride the Road to the Sun. I am working on trying to get the pass that you have to have this year. Keep your fingers crossed Thank you for the kind words. Your video was super awesome tonight. Congratulations on your new bike and no matter what you're my bud so I will follow you till the end of time lol. Oops that almost sounds like a threat lol.
@@HetteshWorld 😂 thanks. I know you two are having a blast out there. I just love that area. I’d like to spend a week riding Montana too sometime. Have fun and shoot lots of video!
Have done the tail of the dragon 4 times on our street glide and hope to do it on the Spyder this year. Please don’t show the video at double time all the way thru. Takes away from how the ride flows and the good scenery is lost. Some is ok but all is too much. Wander open roads does the bouble time every video and drives folks crazy. Please slow most of it down. We don’t have to see the whole ride. Love your channel and Bob’s ability to fix anything is amazing. Keep the episodes coming..Ray & Linda
Thank you for the advice. This is the first time that I have done that and I am working on the next video for the Rattler now so I will not do that in that video. It's all about learning and you guys help us learn. So thanks for your patience. I agree on Wander Open Roads that's why I will never get that 360. I like doing my own little trick shots which I am a lot better at now than I was when we shot this video lol. But it's fun for me. The 360 I just don't like it. I think it looks silly. Also when people hold it up in the air and you see their arm but nothing else lol. I also feel it's a fad. Because the Can-Am rides are super important they be good for you guys. Thanks for watching and the kind words!!!!
Interesting, I gotta start watching this, how you're doing your RV Spyder haul, Millie and I are from FL, ride a 2020 RTL, we've done The Dragn several times just on a different m/c. So were you parked in Maggie Valley for base camp?
We were in Waynesville. We stayed at the Trails End RV park. We do have a video on how we haul our Can-Am around but ours is a 2019 and it fits in our RV. The 2020 I know would not fit in our RV. It's about 5 in longer I believe. But being full-time RVers we are Thousand Trails members And we also stay at State Parks. COEs and city camping when we have to be outside of our membership group. The park I referenced above is outside of our group and a private park. But we drive our RV to where we want. We park it and then we use our Can-Am to get around especially now or out in Yellowstone and we put about 700 mi on it here before all the damaged happened inside of Yellowstone with the storm. But it is saving us fuel as well because we're driving the Can-Am and not the truck. So I hope all this helps. If you have any other questions just let us know. Thank you so much for watching our videos!
I have a 2021 RT Limited Spyder and I rode the dragon a bit aggressively with my wife riding pillion and the nanny features were insane! At times it felt like the bike suddenly weighed 3,000 lbs, instead of 1,000. Riding by myself the safety features did not kick in so much.According to the manual, there are 7 "safety features". The only safety features that I did not notice being used were #3 & #7.(#1 ABS, #2 EBD electronic brake distribution , #3 HHC Hill Hold Control, #4 TCS traction control system, #5 SCS Stability Control System, #6 DPS - Dynamic Power Steering, #7 DESS Digitally Encoded Security System).
Thank you for sharing that. I did not know the details on all of that so that is good to know. Thank you for watching this video and commenting! This is actually one of our favorite rides to do and we were excited to do it on the Can-Am.
So, how long did it take to get to the end of the run? The fast speed playback "feels" like a roller coaster. Barb: "Faster, faster, get out of our way!"
It is about 45 minutes one way. It depends on how fast you're going lol. In the future with the video I have coming up that's going to have some RV issues and the Rattler ride on it. I will do a little bit of fast but then slow it down and actually cut some of the ride if I need to in order for it to be more enjoyable. Dave, I know you get my wit as well as I get yours lol.
Larry, thanks for your feedback and I apologize for that. There are some things that I'm still learning on obviously lol. So the one I'm working on now has a couple of RV fixes and the radler ride and I have made that more normal so it can be enjoyable. You will have to let me know what you think. I appreciate your feedback.
7:29 is where my crash bar touched down and the front end washed out, it was a big time save, did not slow me down. my floor boards were ground down to paper thin by the time i got to the dam. someday i'll figure out how to get pictures of my broken CPU and post them on instagram

Where's the back of the dragon
@@James214 Back of the Dragon is in Tazewell County, just north of Tazewell VA. It is in the western region of Virginia, near Tennessee.

Great ride. Thanks for sharing 👌 👍 😊
Outstanding video! I just added this to my bucket list for sure on my Spyder F3 LTD. This video is appreciated very much, thanks. 👍🏾
