we're heading there next month! thanks for all your hard work to share this information.
You are so welcome!
I took my first trip in December (2023) and loved it. Several trail and roads were closed for the season so I'm planning an October (2024) trip. I just bought your 4-Day Itinerary! I'll be in the area for 2 weeks.
That's so exciting! You're going to love all of the fall colors in October!
thanks Ashley for this ... Smoky mountains is the best!
You're welcome!
Been going to Smokie Mountain for 50 years! We lived about 2 hours south in GA
What a beautiful place to live ❤
Appreciate it thanks
No problem 👍
We love the Smokies! But we might be bias, since we are from Tennessee!! And we love, love, love Cades Cove and all the hiking!
Danny and Lynn
RV America
You can be biased :) It's an amazing area!!
This by far is THE BEST guide I have seen!
Any spots Dinner/Special Places/Activity recomendations for couples without kids (26 and 27)?
Dollywood :) And staying a night or two at the LeConte Lodge!
very good info. thanks
AND there is always the chance to Gamble at the Casino in the Cherokee Homelands. They love tourist contributions. -- and keep an eye on the future news of Rec Pot being legal there...the Cherokee should be the first to get this opportunity on the East Coast. - Of course, always designate a driver for the Park Roads if you plan on imbibing.
I. Love. The. Smokey. Mountains
Such an amazing place!
Is the month of Nov ( weeks of thanksgiving) a good week to come?
You'll find a full article about the best time to visit (broken down by month) at dirtinmyshoes.com
Is it good to be dr in march end ???
You'll find a full article about the best time to visit the Smokies on dirtinmyshoes.com. I break it down by month so you know what to expect!
How many days do u recommend for reserving a night at leconte lodge? How do you plan for weather we were there in June and it was super rainy during our stay
It depends on if you've already been to the park before. If it's a first-time visit and you still want to see other areas, I'd probably just spend one night up there. But if it's a return trip and you can relax a little, I'd stay for two :) Planning for the weather is difficult -- mountain weather can be really unpredictable. But you can check out the weather/best time to visit info here for a starting point: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/the-best-time-to-visit-great-smoky-mountains-national-park/
@DirtInMyShoes we just went for the first time in mid june and it was so rainy when it stated dry time lol although I know they got hit hard with rain this year
@@kariwilson5766 mother nature is always active in the parks. Here's hoping things stay dry next time!
Thanks for this informative video. If I only have one day in the park for hikes, do you recommend Laurel Falls hikeor the Deep Creek 3 waterfalls hike? We will also be going to Clingmans Dome
Ash ur such a beautiful lady thanks for the info...as a park ranger what's your insite on Bigfoot? any encounters happen?
There are a few parks where I'm pretty sure he's been traipsing around. We actually have a plan to do a podcast episode about bigfoot in the parks :)
@@DirtInMyShoes oh wow I wish I can do podcast with you I’m like super into Bigfoot very interesting thanks
