This is a nicely engaged performance with camerawork to match. The steady pulse was suggested by Steve Reich at 1964 NY premiere (according to SR). The other composer is TR who wrote the 53 short repeatable modules, probably before & more quickly than SR wrote his suggested piano pounding insert. 1st UK perf was led by Cornelius Cardew who played the one-note piano part in 1968, NOT at London's ICA but @ the Arts' Council venue off Oxford St - the audience were relocated to safely distance them from CC's insistant piano, but unfortunately CC was relocated too. Truely a stunning performance, I haven't been able to hear middle C ever since. The 2nd half of that 1968 London concert featured an unrehearsed perf of LaMonte Young's Death Chant.
This is one of the finest performances of IN C that I have heard. Perhaps my favorite. Deserving of a CD release. ❤❤❤
Excellent performance ! Congratulations to all musicians !
