I didn't have high hopes from this. Mainly because most of the "solo" In C performances I hear on UA-cam sound subpar, like they are mainly showing their instruments and tech-stuff. So I was suprised by this one. The rhythm, melody, fun...it's all there.
Great job! I found this after posting my own version of a solo guitar In C performance. We took different approaches, but it's cool how the core of In C always comes through.
This is sooo good! I know how difficult to play this composition (or should I say series of themes?) is: early this week I've started to get my way into it on bass. My compliments, Joseph!
Damn, cool stuff, well done! Maybe this is a dumb question, but it seems like Ableton Live lets you fade out the oldest loops as you're playing - is that right? I've been contemplating trying to put together a version of In C using loops of various acoustic instruments, but I've been stuck on the fact any loop pedal I have or can get my hands on seems to only allow you to delete the last loop you've laid down, not the first.
The loop was made possible by a Max Patch written by Bryant Smith run through Ableton Live. He has a browser version of it that you can try if you're interested: codepen.io/barefootfunk/full/ZWoLmo?fbclid=IwAR3oFm8UEUZeAzB9DTwe3thXwNbKDvsRkwKuV4ozg8EI5x_rFgdAIwZTkMw
Luca my apologies I dont check UA-cam comments frequently enough to have seen this. I was just revisiting this project and saw your request. If you are still interested: bryant.robert.smith@gmail.com
