Revan taught the modern sith, from bane all the way to sidious, every force ability, every strategy, everything they knew. Revan only lost to vitiate because Bastila got killed. In the novel revan had vitiate on the back peddle during the light saber duel, force power, raw power vitiate beat revan. It was only when he was distracted by her death was when vitiate was able to subdue him with and extremely powerful force storm.
But Revan could still defeat him. There were many reasons, the memory had not yet fully returned, exhaustion, he was weakened, and his enemy was at his base still shrouded in the dark side of the force, while Revan could still win, the fight was worthy.
This despite the fact that the only one he was afraid of was Revan, using his knowledge while he was in a state of suspended animation, even then Revan influenced him with his power. It was Revan's actions that were key, one of the most important, and ultimately led to victory. At the time of the battle, Revan was exhausted and weakened, part of his knowledge and memory had not yet been fully restored, and they fought in a place where dark power was concentrated, even then Revan could be able to win, so otherwise everything would have ended more like a battle Vader and Darth Sidious, in the end Revan would have completed his mission anyway. In fact, one way or another, he did it...
The only way Revan beats Nihilus is if he can, like the Exile, negate Nihilus' Drain but given how Revan studied the Sith texts at the Trayus Academy, I'd say he'd definitely have a chance. I also think a fight between Revan and Sidious would end up with both of them dead or 1 bowing to the other in order to stab him in the back later on.
I don’t think Revan can. See, I think Nihlus only had his hunger beaten by The Exile because The Exile is a wound in the force. It doesn’t make sense to try feed from the force of someone who isn’t recognised by the force. It’s the result of the war that Nihlus & The Exile are so powerful but also why they’re both wounds in the force. Kreia says ingame that these techniques can only be learnt by those who have experienced being force ate. I’m not sure Revan has had such a traumatising event happen to him. I’m sure it would’ve heavily corrupted him.
@@Echani3007 Oh yeah I get all that. What I'm saying is the Exile had an innate ability to be able to defeat Nihilus. I think Revan could have learned of Nihilus' weaknesses without becoming a wound in the Force given enough time and material.

Fr. George Lucas said palpatine the strongest sith but like... what did he do? He killed plagueis but it wasn't even in a proper fight it was while plagueis was drunk and asleep. Palpatines only big feet is his iq other then beating maul and savage easy. And setting up the clone wars which palpatine barely did most of it was dooku and grevious ngl. Then he died so easily in rotj. Revan is too op dor canon so i think that is why they made him jot canon then said palpatine was the strongest.
@@jaymessmoyer340 Since we're all going off Legends continuity Palpatine was capable of controlling Force Storms which were space anomalies that could be used a Force wormholes. He could you them to obliterate ships and even travel across the galaxy. The problem is the technique is highly dangerous, and the slightest loss in concentration could kill the user. This is how one of Palptine's clone bodies was killed at the end of the first part of Dark Empire. I highly recommend that story because it takes what was shitty about the sequels and runs circles around those movies. Those books also laid the foundation of the Tales of the Jedi comics which were essentially the beginning of the Old Republic era in media. Dark Empire gets a lot of flack for it's premise, but it handles it really well in terms of execution, which is more important than the premise. Here's the gist of it so spoiler warning if you're interested and haven't read it or listened to the audio drama that's really good. Basically Palpatine had plans to restructure the Empire so that he could usher in a new era of open practice of the dark side. He reorganizes at the center of the galaxy, and amasses power their since that's where all his resources were (Exegol bing in the Unknown Regions was fucking dumb, and Byss is a much better location). Luke doesn't actually fall to the dark side. He's essentially doing his same plan from ROTJ, but this time Anakin isn't there to save him from death, so he gets in way over his head and gets too deep. Leia gets a bigger role and this story basically puts her closer to Luke's level, and they are able to defeat Palptine. The whole story is about Luke realizing that he isn't the only hope, and that he doesn't have to sacrifice himself to save the galaxy. Basically it's the sequel trilogy if Anakin's sacrifice wasn't in vain (Luke actually revives the Jedi Order), and Luke isn't character assassinated because you actually get to see the build up. This was longer than I expected, but I really wanted to help flex the fact that one of Legends supposedly worst stories is leagues better than Disney canon.
@@jaymessmoyer340 Even then, Revan's manipulations make Palpatine look like an idiot in comparison. Intentionally creating wounds in the force to mass convert Jedi to the dark side is genius.
Literal darkness vs literal grey in a nutshell. One who embodies the full darkside, one whom embodies both at the same time. A grand master of one, the master of both. Two warriors right there unmatched in their time.
I am just gonna say, legends wise Vader and sidious would probably beat revan. Just cause Vader is susceptible to lightning doesn’t mean he’s gonna let himself get hit by it. Sidious in legends is too OP. And also, on paper I am pretty sure nihlus would just be too surprisingly powerful for revan to even start to do anything to negate his force drain. Now revan with prep time, maybe, depends how strong nihlus truly is, but in a random encounter with no prior knowledge of the other, nihlus wins.
@@darthdisabilities193 It aint that easy. Blocking lightning isn't just raising your lightsaber. It takes a great amount of strength depending on the one using the lighting. This is even canon as displayed from live action. For example, obi wan blocked dooku, but dooku didn't master it. In ROTS, though, Windu clearly is in pain when blocking lighting from sidious, because his lighting is very powerful.

People really overestimate Nihilus. He's pretty useless without Force Drain, and Force Drain is in fact an ability which can be countered by a powerful enough Force User. Once Revan blocked his Force Drain, Nihilus would be boned.
You underestimate nihilus. He had just about the strongest connection and power over the force which is literally what makes a jedi/sith as strong as they are. (Their connection to the force)
Além disso ele é um fantástico fantásma do passado dos sith
nihilus force drain helped him eat planets everyday, in fact if darth traya hadn't also been a wound in the force they wouldnt have ever killed nihilus and he would have ate every inch of life in existence
Nihilus has the ability to seperate people from the force as he did to Traya while Sion beat the **** out of her.
You said it like it’s so easy to do
“Revan was power, it was like looking into the heart of the force”
Revan gets strength, nihilus has no strength
Nihilus will literally get slapped by him in a 1v1 that’s why it took multiple Jedi, masters, and Sith masters to bring him down
@@JohnJohn-bz1lqNihilus would just drain him if Revan couldn't resist. That's the biggest problem; no one can get close enough to Nihilus to fight him. The only reason he was defeated was because he was attacked by another wound in the force who had better combat skills
Nihilus wins as only another force wound could counter him or defeat him as Kotor 2 stated plus he was more powerful than revan but yes revan was wiser but probably would have known approaching nihilus would of ended in his death as nihilus kills anything in his mere presence and no meetra surik wasn't a better duelist than nihilus he mainly fell due to trying to drain her but as she's like him she was immune but also due to visas betrayal and cutting the bond is ultimately how he fell but ultimately he survived telios 4 just couldn't physically manifest himself anymore he's immortal remember so can return given the right circumstances
Revan is like "the first Grey Jedi"
More what i would call a balanced jedi, he use both light and dark side in such a balanced way he not a sith or a jedi.
what about Jolee Bindo
Nah. He definitely is one tho. It's not the use of both spectrums (not easy at all) but his refusal to follow the high council that makes him Gray btw.

Como em todas as histórias de personagens fortes e incríveis, Revan acabou derrotado pelo amor, pela morte de sua amada.
not quite so, there was not Bastila, but his friend and student, although she is still a close person.
But Revan could still defeat him. There were many reasons, the memory had not yet fully returned, exhaustion, he was weakened, and his enemy was at his base still shrouded in the dark side of the force, while Revan could still win, the fight was worthy.
anyway they won in the end
Revan played a huge role in defeating him.

The only way Revan beats Nihilus is if he can, like the Exile, negate Nihilus' Drain but given how Revan studied the Sith texts at the Trayus Academy, I'd say he'd definitely have a chance. I also think a fight between Revan and Sidious would end up with both of them dead or 1 bowing to the other in order to stab him in the back later on.
in fact
I don’t think Revan can. See, I think Nihlus only had his hunger beaten by The Exile because The Exile is a wound in the force.
It doesn’t make sense to try feed from the force of someone who isn’t recognised by the force. It’s the result of the war that Nihlus & The Exile are so powerful but also why they’re both wounds in the force.

@@jaymessmoyer340 +the statement about palpatine being the strongest sith was BEFORE revan was introduced so it couldve changed
@@jaymessmoyer340 Even then, Revan's manipulations make Palpatine look like an idiot in comparison. Intentionally creating wounds in the force to mass convert Jedi to the dark side is genius.

Yeah sidious would probably beat all of them but revan would beat most of them except sidious, maybe vader and nihilus
THANK YOU SOMEONE FINALLY SAYS IT! VADER AINT JUST GONNA SIT THERE AND LET PEOPLE USE FORCE LIGHTNING ON HIM!
Of course Vader wouldn't just let someone use force lighting on him. Do remember that Revan can go straight past lightning and into force storm.

When it comes to the debate of Revan and Vader, I see Revan as what Vader/Anakin could have been if he was able to reach his full potential. They also share many similar character traits as well.
Revan is the example of what Revan should have strived to be someone who wants to learn who is powerful because he earns it not because he is naturally gifted
sidious beat him high diff the other are fax
Everyone with sidious give me fax not opinions I want proof. Convince me

Ok so, this is some legends sources
Yoda went after Palpatine in the empty Senate chamber, but could not defeat the most powerful Sith Lord in history.
Source: The New Essential Chronology
Vader imagined the power that could be his if he crushed Palpatine and established his own rule over the Empire. But first, he would need his own apprentice. By himself, he could not hope to defeat the most powerful Sith Lord the galaxy had ever known.
Source: Vader: The Ultimate Guide
Emperor Zaarin? The idea isn't as ludicrous as it sounds. Demetrius Zaarin gambled everything on an audacious coup d'état and nearly killed the most powerful Sith Lord the galaxy has ever known.
Source: Insider #66: Who's Who: Imperial Grand Admirals
The Emperor was completely in concert with the dark side of the Force. He was the most powerful Sith who had ever existed.
Source: Death Star
His power may be unparalleled in the history of the Sith.
Source: Force & Destiny
Even Ulic Qel-Droma would be envious of Palpatine. He had succeeded where all others had failed in taming the Dark Side.
Source: The Dark Side Sourcebook
Meet Darth Sidious - the most powerful Sith Master who ever lived.
Source: Darth Maul, Sith Apprentice
Finally - the Emperor - who should be fighting to save the Republic - is revealed as the most powerful and menacing Sith of all!
Source: The Sith (Revenge of the Sith Collection, 2005)
Palpatine could destroy entire worlds or fleet at the other end of the galaxy, without too much effort, thanks to its Force Storms.
""When the Empire forged boldly into the Deep Core under Emperor Palpatine's decree, the Emperor quickly chose the planet Byss as his personal resort world. When the Imperial claim to the Deep Core was established and loyal followers flocked to the new frontier, Palpatine made sure to draw the most eager and blissfully ignorant nobles and leaders to Byss. Once the populace had settled into their new lives in an Imperial utopia, the Emperor initiated his true plans for the world. Slowly but steadily, he used his dark Force powers to enslave the people on the world and drain their life energies to fuel his own vile experiments.""
""Almost mindless under the oppression of the Emperor's dark side influence, the people of Byss find their life energies constantly leeched off during the Emperor's evil machinations."
Source : Byss and the Deep Core
(So during his reign, wherever he was, Palpatine was draining life energy from the people of Byss (19.7 billion according to The Essential Atlas), Nihilus himself is a child)
When Palpatine died, it took the spirits of every Jedi in history to sustain him in the afterlife.
To come back to life, Palpatine had to come back from Chaos, something almost impossible (Exar Kun, for example, is one of the very few who managed to do so. By the way, find out about Exar Kun too, he rolls without too much trouble on Darth Revan and will only find real difficulty against Revan Redeemed)
etc. etc. You still have a long way to go in Legends
Darth revan has the third highest midiclorian Count in the franchise
No
Facts. Revan was on a completely different level than most if not all the movie characters. The galaxy has not seen such power since his death. He was the only one to actually cause Tenebrae, the most powerful force entity to ever exist, real fear
Almost all the jedi and sith that appeared in the movies would one shot revan.

Vitiate: Bruv man is nothing to me
Wasn't Darth Nox (before he was a darth at full power) in the party that defeated Revan?
Nox too op for Revan
В том то и дело что в группе и при особых обстоятельствах, ситуация схожа с Малоком, правда после Реван ему за то челюсть отбил, и в конце концов уделал.
Brb gonna run foundry on darth nox
Sorry dude, but Nox wipes the floor with Revan. Nox' got protag power
Sidius wins because George said he is the strongest sith lord and the writers word is fact
Bla bla bla revan beats all of them Lucas doesn’t even own Star Wars anymore plus he probably said that because he made palpatine. Revan beats palpatine in every way. I dare you to prove me wrong.
Darth sidius is stronger even Lucas said that Darth sidious is the strongest Sith to ever live

Dif for sidious? Bro im not sure you know how powerful sidious is. Revan is a force to be reckoned with and powerful as both a jedi and a sith but sidious is a better lightsaber duelists and more knowledgeable in the force. My guy can conjure force storms that are near planet busting in power in honesty i prefer revan more but im sorry sidious has way more of a chance winning this than revan
