I'm so excited for this patch, we're getting more khanriah lore, more abyss lore, and maybe even some lore about the 7 sovereign dragons! Once again, love your speculations (especially the gnosis filtering the power from the light realm!)!
Just rolling the dice on a theory but: Abyss Realm: we briefly visited when the Chasm collapsed and we escaped via a magic compass. Elemental Realm: exists between abyss and light realm. I think of this more as a border between the abyss and light realm. Enkanomiya is a good example imo. The 7 dragon sovereigns who once ruled kept the balance between the 2. However when Phanes invaded and defeated the 7 Dragon Sovereigns he took their elemental power to create the 7 Gnoses. This was then used as a means of power and foundation for the development of Tehvat which exists in The Light Realm: This realm is the Overworld we play in regularly. It's foundation sits upon the elemental realm but since the fall of the 7 dragon Sovereigns it is out of balance. Furthermore the abyss heralds etc. are predominantly of the fallen Seelie race with a few being more recent conscripts like Enjou. The Cryo herald appearing to Clothar before the Abyss Order and the notes found relating Khaenriah fighting against the abyss seem to support this theory. I bring this up to state that the original denizens of this world once lived in balance and that the Abyss Realm was merely a factor in this balance. But since Phanos invasion it has been a constant imbalance and the natural forces of this world that once worked together now are at odds with another. As such this polarization brought about by the Usurper we refer to as the Primordial One is the direct cause. The Elemental realm has grown thin and now the abyss Lashes out due to its suppressed state. Another way to look at the 3 realms is thusly: Light Realm: Higher consciousness Elemental Realm: Subconscious mind Abyss Realm: Unconscious mind Irminsul: Collective Unconsciousness The reason why Tehvat appears so static is because it's not functioning properly. The leylines are blocked as memories are not being processed correctly. This causes all forms of disturbances and erosion due to the mental block on forbidden knowledge. Why is this model so useful? Well since so much lore is borrowed from the Greeks let's analyze it. Gaia: Is the Goddess and the world we humans live upon. Uranus: makes up the sky and heavens. Hades: God of the dead and the Realm of the dead itself. Tartarus: A realm below Hades itself and said to be the corpse of the slain proto-genosi aka God Tartarus. A prison for the most dangerous beings and home to the Goddess Nyx and God Erebus or Goddess of Night and God of darkness. Does that help to picture the nature of the world?
That's a very interesting analogy! Though, I'm curious, why are you separating the elemental realm from the light realm? Both names have been used interchangeably in game so far. Is it just because of the model, or is there another reason?
@@BluesLoreCrumbs uggh, guess I rolled a 1 for the intelligence check, haha. The Elemental realm also being called the Light Realm is so confusing. I get the concept of the 7 elements being the 7 colors separated from light but my brain does this quirky thing of attaching underground/darkness to Vishap or dragon. Azhdaha originally having no eyes doesn't help either. So when I was trying to separate the 3 world's theory in my head I think one of my brain cells was double printed. To make matters worse I can't remember the 3rd realms name, was it simply called the Human realm I can't even remember atm? Somehow that sounds incorrect since humans didn't exist originally.
My theory is that night mother is named from Greek mythology. Think about it what does PO and the travelers have in common they both have names from Greek mythology rather than gnostic. So it made me believe that all the descender have a Greek name. Also I think night mother name would be nyx. Nyx in Greek mythology is the literal counterpart of night mother. Also nyx's oldest child is aether the God of upper sky
My money is on Nyx for the role of night mother, for sure! However, depending on what version of the myth you go with, her connection to Phanes changes, but it's a constant, so I wonder what the implications for that would be!
Enkanomiyan theory says the three realms have a 3 way symmetry not that the Abyss is opposite the Light realm or that the Abyss is opposite the Human realm / Celestia. We also get told of the three Divine forces first in Enkanomiya (ie Before Sun and Moon - Dragons/Vishaps, PO/Celestia and 2nd throne/Abyss). We get the three way symmetry from there. By contrast the Chasm has a narrative about opposites (2 forces) clashing. As a Divine force the Dragons don't feature much in the story so far, and seem presented like eg Native Americans in US history. Kind of an old but weak force that has it's wisdom and dignity but was beaten to the point of collapse by powerful new comers. You get Azhdaha and apparently this new dragon getting salty about the old days. On the Enkanomiyan view the so-called Dark Sea is in the Light Realm. Orobashi and others escape there from the Archon War. Orobashi finds the Coral Butterflies there doing their terraforming job and he grabs some and uses them to absorb coral that they seem to produce as a side effect of de-energizing the Light Realm energies and somehow he's able to graft the coral to his body and gain power through it. Oddly though he has little luck trying to splice the same coral to Vishaps later on. We see light sigils because Orobashi's into that stuff and drags some Coral Butterflies to Enka with him. So yes you can just walk (swim?) to the Light Realm the same as any other realm. But the story hardly ever mentions it. If a human fell into the Light Realm they'd just die (of too much elemental energy) so we can't rule out that such a thing is possible as happened to Ajax, though it does seem weird that the Light Realm is more toxic than the Abyss, doesn't it? The Abyss is more corrupting than killing? I don't think there is such a thing as a "light element". The Light Realm just has the ordinary elements at a higher intensity. There was no 8th nation before the PO arrived and no 8th dragon. The seven elements are colectively called the "great elements" or the "supreme elements" in the English translation. There may be lesser elments. But the supreme elements are the ones mentioned in - among other places - the spells cast by Hypostases and in Abyss Lectors' books, as well as that Hydro barrier on the house Mona now uses. The language used is Latin of course so there's plenty of alternatives in translation but it matches your concept of the elements being used by the PO / Abyss. Google "Text of Lector's book shows a mockery of Primordial One?" The Electro dragon was Kapatcir of course. "She" has memories of humans learning to use fire which places it before the 2nd throne and the gods came into being. "She" is no god and doesn't care about humans. Azhdaha says "he" is older than the oceans (about 4 billions years old on Earth for example) so does that mean Geo precedes Hydro? At any rate Azhdaha is plenty old enough to be a possible king dragon. Enjou seems human enough so I guess all those other Lectors and Heralds are humans too. The new boss has 4 arms so they are not strictly a human-like frame, though related. Probably a Seelie then. They definately don't look Vishap-like do they? And why would a Vishap talk about "records" when Vishaps don't read and write? Apocalypse = 2nd Divine War (PO vs 2nd throne). Seelies go bad so we expected to find Dark Seelies (Banshees) at some point. Sometimes the most ovious answer is right.
Perfect summary thanks! Also isnt the PO reshape the light realm into the Human realm ? Or am i making this up... I always thought Kana was the electro dragon it was obvious to me.

It's possible, yes, but it's equally as likely that the Heavenly Principles are composed of a number of beings, with the Sustainer being just one of them. We have no idea at all which of these two possibilities is actually the case (or if it's something entirely different that I can't even think of at the moment). We just lack too much information.
