The thing about respect in the streets is that eventually that all fades out no matter who it is. The core focus on the last two seasons was how the new generation had evolved into a new breed that simply didn't care or won't adhere to any unspoken rules or traditions. Some of the core aspects will remain the same, but just like the towers, all that will simply be erased. Even the scene with Kima not knowing Omar's brother is a small sample in how even the most notorious players in the game will eventually fade away.
