It took him until he was in his sixties and both my grandparents were passed away to finally grow out his hair, and now he won't cut it for anything. If he didn't want me to assert my autonomy or express myself through my hair, he shouldn't have led by example lol. 🙂

I have buzzed my hair for the last 6 years, it is such a freeing style and I feel the most like myself with this style. My husband loves it too! However a lot of men look at me like I’m a mad woman and I love the fact that a lot of men don’t like it, makes me want to do it all the more 😂

This brought to tears. My husband is the same as your x my husband justified his behavior because I did not "respect" him as a man so he justified his cheating. He would go weeks without speaking to me. I was always the crazy one because he never hit me as others would say. He would tell me to stop being such a martyr when I tried expressing my feelings to him. I used to have long curly hair I buzz cut it and he told be he didn't marry a lesbian and would call me a butch or a dyke to my face. I finally left after 20 years. Better late than never

I'm 60 years ... I am a 8 years cancer free. Mom of 2 grown kids (30 yo daughter and 24 yo son). I just have started my BUZZCUT hair style like late 6 month ago, and I like it. I am actually an ovarian cancer survivor but chose not to undergo the chemotherapy but natural therapy (being at the beach alot and enjoying the green field in Bali). So, I never happened get hair falling from the chemotherapy. Instead, I decided to buzz my head with #2 guard and bleached it, I did that as my tribute to all the cancer warrior folks. So ok, here I am enjoying my BUZZCUT hair, and I think I'll stay and I'll keep for the rest of my life🙋🤗

I first buzzed my hair four years ago at 56. I've grown it out 2-3 times, but always come back to the buzz. It is one of the best things I've ever done. It really made me question everything I'd ever been taught about femininity and societal expectations. Overall, I've had great feedback from others. My husband loves it. Instead of wearing a cape when I buzz mine, I just lean over the kitchen sink and all the hair gets caught in there, making it easy to just scoop out and toss in the trash. I don't use a mirror for anything other than cleaning up around the ears and the back of my neck; the rest I just do by feel.

Such good advice. I can't imagine how hard it would be to be in a relationship like that. I have had my sides/back buzzed for about 10 years. The top/crown has been different lengths, but right now the sides/back are a #1 to 2 fade (3 to 6mm) , and the top is a #6(19mm). I have had it 6mm all over once. I am very lucky that my husband supported anything i wanted to do. Love the vlogs!

My hair is a blonde platinum and very thin. I get a very short style that is slightly longer than yours. It is very cute and I am going bright pink with it in October for a cruise and breast cancer awareness. Thank you for your video! 30 years ago I ended a 5 yr relationship with a narcissistic person. It eventually came down to self preservation and getting tired of him controlling everything. Luckily I had a great support system in friends and family. Your soul is important and maintaining it in a healthy way hopefully leads people to listen to it. I have never looked back. My hubby of 29 years is awesome!

Colored my hair pink. Shaved under up the back of my head hair because hello perimenopause and heat. Left the rest bobbed and curly. He said he ❤ it..until I heard him talking poo about me. So I went and got more pink! ;)

I buzz my hair at home and have found that an inexpensive barber's cape (Amazon) helps to keep those tiny little hairs from imbedding themselves in your clothes. I also vacuum my head as I am cutting my hair. Sounds strange but it helps.
I wanted to buzz my hair for years, and always thought of what people would think but I did it at age 52 and absolutely love it, nasty comments from people but I love it so that is all that matters. Love your style!
💜 is my shade all colors of purple. I want, want want grey hair but it's not to be @ 67. The constant repeat of the process to color so frequently has stopped me from coloring after 20 yrs from blu, pink, teal, red, ect to purple. Be yourself always and only you can control your own actions. I feel deeply for those controlled by others whether men or society !😢
My mum was/is my main problem with my hair. She goes "mad" at me when I get my hair cut short (as does my dad). I'm almost 50!..... husband doesn't like it short particularly but he knows its really up to me. Re hair splinters, use a torch and tweezers 😉
I had mine purple for so long but the last time I bleached it to do the purple the toner looked so good. I always ask my husband what he thinks about my hair because I want him to like it too.

Hi, first of all love your buzz cut! I was thinking maybe to help with the hair sticking to your clothes that maybe you could try a trash bag with a hole cut in the bottom just big enough to fit over your head? Haven't tried it myself but I saw someone else in a video do it. I just started cutting my own hair about a year ago and I keep it really short using a razor on the sides and back. I'm always tempted to take the razor to the top but I can't seem to get the courage to do it! I'm turning 60 this summer so maybe I will do it then!
I got a cape from Amazon and that does wonders. I'm going to tell you this from the bottom of my heart. If you want to buzz your hair just do it. You will not regret it. It's so amazingly empowering, cute and freeing. I wish I could personally be there when you do it - but know I am there in spirit! ❤

As a male i WISH i could grow a beard. 47 years old and im almost hairless everywhere on my body. No arm hair leg hair. Very little facial hair. my wife loves it. Me not so much. I figured "when i get older but lll be able to grow a veard and increase my masculin look". Never happened. 😢

Sometimes Girls get that hankering when their hair is not behaving like they would like or have the notion for a small change they begin researching photographs of haircuts. It is fine to try something slightly different and some men do not like a small change. That is understandable. Your buzzcut is fine. You save yourself from the stylists chair. 🙂
Personally I don't walk away from tattooed women, I RUN. I find tattooed skin ugly and reminiscent of old men, and it's a huge turn off. Btw I'm an old man 😊

💜 is my shade all colors of purple. I want, want want grey hair but it's not to be @ 67. The constant repeat of the process to color so frequently has stopped me from coloring after 20 yrs from blu, pink, teal, red, ect to purple. Be yourself always and only you can control your own actions. I feel deeply for those controlled by others whether men or society !😢

My mum was/is my main problem with my hair. She goes "mad" at me when I get my hair cut short (as does my dad). I'm almost 50!..... husband doesn't like it short particularly but he knows its really up to me.

I had mine purple for so long but the last time I bleached it to do the purple the toner looked so good. I always ask my husband what he thinks about my hair because I want him to like it too.

Hi, first of all love your buzz cut! I was thinking maybe to help with the hair sticking to your clothes that maybe you could try a trash bag with a hole cut in the bottom just big enough to fit over your head? Haven't tried it myself but I saw someone else in a video do it. I just started cutting my own hair about a year ago and I keep it really short using a razor on the sides and back. I'm always tempted to take the razor to the top but I can't seem to get the courage to do it! I'm turning 60 this summer so maybe I will do it then!
I got a cape from Amazon and that does wonders. I'm going to tell you this from the bottom of my heart. If you want to buzz your hair just do it. You will not regret it. It's so amazingly empowering, cute and freeing. I wish I could personally be there when you do it - but know I am there in spirit! ❤

When I did hairdressing the hair splinters were horrendous continuously not only in clothes but in my skin.. ugh
Sometimes Girls get that hankering when their hair is not behaving like they would like or have the notion for a small change they begin researching photographs of haircuts. It is fine to try something slightly different and some men do not like a small change. That is understandable. Your buzzcut is fine. You save yourself from the stylists chair. 🙂
