- This customer bought his own parts, traveled from New Orleans to Florida and stayed in a hotel while LHT built his car. We put in some hours to get the car done, tuned and turned around with some LHT ..TLC included.
I can't appreciate enough guys. Thanks to John and George. They had put long hours and late nights on my car to make it happen in such a short time. Awesome quality work and best shop to take your s2k...
Emre Rusen congrats on the supercharger kit man! is that a varex exhaust on the s2k? if yes, is it quiter than stock the stock exhaust with closed valves? and how loud is it in open valve mod? cheers

I love these videos!!!!!! I'm planning a trip next year guys to coincide with the Indy race in St. Petersburg. All the way from Canada!!!! I put the Clutch Masters FX 300, Skunk 2 Alpha headers, Invidia 70mm test pipe (to mate with my Invidia Q300 exhaust), new starter, and new clutch master cylinder (mine was leaking as shown in one of your other videos. I wouldn't have known but saw your video and checked it. Thanx). Now I just need the Kraftwerks kit installed :) I'd also like that exhaust valve put in........very cool. My Q300 is a bit loud for my liking, and I don't really enjoy winding the F20C out to the 9K redline because it's so loud. Cheers guys, thanx again.

I'm from NOLA as well, I'm finally in the market for my S2000. I want to find a good one but not one that's been worked on before. I want LHT to do the work on it. I'll ask all of you New Orleanians if you know of a nice stock S2000 in the area. I honestly don't care about color. I just want a nice 2k.

It looks like a muffler shop did the exhaust. It sucks but most people don't know what muffler shops do until it's done.

Yes, Just the Kraftwerks kits are air to air intercooled, use their own fluid system and make more power. :)

My dreams are to have this mod installed on my s2k, but iam from EU-Slovenia and our standard is kinda weak for this convertion to be bought. :/

It's called 'Varex' , it has an electric valve inside as you can see in the video. It replaced one he had on the car already.

I suggest you to filter the supercharger oil before to pour it (unless it's filtered in the circuit)
all oils from the factories are really dirty.
The rotrex oil comes in a sealed bottle from them. Everything in the system is brand new. You really think they would include dirty fluid for their system that they warranty ?
I have never had any impurities from any sealed bottle of oil. If you are going to make a bold claim like that post a video proving what you state is true.
I was thinking that too, The Rotrex oil is about $100 and I would go out on a limb here to say it is pretty clean and pure.
My hydraulic teacher with 30 + years of experience explained to me that oils,including hydraulic oil,are dirty from the fact they are stocked in big tanks in the factory,trucks during their transportation,and then bottled.
On very expensive set ups,like hydraulic simulators,and automated hydraulic sawmills and all this kind of stuff,the oil is filtered at around 2 microns before being poured in the tanks of the machine.
If you consider the compressor that you install as a low tech with loose tolerances,keep going this way it will hurt nothing for sure.
A seal on a bottle means absolutely nothing.
You can piss in a bottle and seal it if you want.
Unless the oil is filtered before being poured in a washed bottle and sealed ,the oil is dirty,simply from its fabrication process.
A hydraulic system without a filter is a flaw in itself.
Metallic parts wear out,loose particles and make things worse and worse.
FYI supertankers use the same mineral oil all their life,straight oil without additives.

They have a very efficient filtration system.
A diesel fuel filter and a fuel pump can make you a very good filtartion system before to fill them up,or to install inline.
You think a big name brand company is going to risk their reputation by not re filtering the oil before its put into individual bottles and sent out for distribution? You think they are just going to assume the oil tankers that delivered the oil are clean of debris? Just like you stated oil is shipped by oil tankers trucks or railway and yes the tanks have dirt in them but there is no way its going from a oil tanker to a bottle with no middle process. The last think Mobile1 or Royal purple ext... wants is for someone out there buying a bunch of their bottles and proving in a online video of all the impurities in their oil. These are the big boys im sure they have covered all their tracks. However if you feel uneasy there is no harm done in re filtering the oil.

We do more superchargers on those cars than anything. Watch our video called "70 year old's sleeper' We can build turbo kits of course. But supercharger kits are less money and more reliable.
422hp at the fly? restricted to lower quality fuel? Usually make a bit more power than that. Lovely car nevertheless!
The power is measured at the wheels. Unless we remove the engine and find an engine dyno....This is the way 99% of tuners do it. This works out to be around 475 at the crank btw.

The older bottles are tall white and round, the new packaging looks more like a 1 quart bottle. Same fluid.

why do u need yout exhaust to have a throttle?? like does it help whats it do ??
When the butterfly valve is shut its much quieter since the exhaust gases run through the muffler (as you can see by the hole on the right at 10:13) , when its open its louder because it doesn't have a muffler, and runs directly through it. Basically its so you don't come off as being obnoxious when you're letting you car idle in the morning, or when you come home at night.
why do you guys never use air to water charge coolers?
Air to air is more efficient for for street use. Air cools down 25 times faster than fluid, this means much less heat soak.
Are gauges required when getting supercharged? I hate the look of these things
No. Some customers like gauges. Nice thing about the Supercharger, it can never over boost like a turbo. So you don't have to monitor a boost gauge. The Hondata as the ability have lean protection that we setup, so you don't need a wideband either.
Would you recommend hondata or the aem v2 with this setup?

That valve adjustment in the exhaust, how did you guys do that?
The muffler is sold with this valve, as you see in the video that car already had one on it but it was old. The customer supplied a new muffler and we built new piping in 3" stainless.
Do some Exhaust Manufacturers sell those?

Which muffler exactly? I went to their site to look them over but they don't list anything specific for the S2000.

you can change fuel pump from the trunk?
Eddie Kuhn most cars have a tiny " hatch" that you can open in the trunk floor, to access the fuel pump.
We do that all through the trunk, It's much easier
