Learn To Play Mridangam - Basic Lessons With N. Ramakrishnan
The Mridangam is a percussion instrument from India of ancient origin. It is the primary rhythmic accompaniment in a Carnatic music and Newa music ensemble.
The word "Mridangam" is Sandhi or union of the two Sanskrit words mŗda (clay or earth) and anga (body), as early Mridangam were made of hardened clay.

Respected all seekers . u kno ta di tom nam ta tomcha chapu is 7 syllable says sa ri ga ma pa da ni sa . but tune properly . so that u can play alankaras of carnatic tradition also you can produce music in mridangam also .pls try and reply .
