This does indeed imply that we will sin often. Another text that points in the same direction is James 3:2, where James says: 'For we all stumble in many ways.' In this verse, stumbling refers to committing unpremeditated sins of short duration, and James is clear that Christians will continue to do this. The idea of perfectionists, that Christians should be able to reach a point before death when we don't sin any more, is going to lead either to great disappointment, or to a serious weakening of the definition of sin, or to accepting a big delusion.

Sin that has not been repented of will very often be a block to God answering prayer. But it is going too far to say that God will never, ever answer the prayer of an unrepentant sinner. He has the right to do that if he wishes, including answering the prayers of non-believers. I think occasionally non-believers come to faith in Christ precisely because God has answered a prayer they have made. But I think this only happens rarely.
I do believe God's sovereignty always takes front and center on stage and this includes answering prayers. That said, his sovereignty says obey! When I reflect on the book of Judges and see that God will get involved i.e. turn things around when we turn with our hearts towards him. It does not appear that we have to be perfect in our turning. But turning to him nonetheless.

This is kind of how I got saved… my mom was fired from her job and I begged God to help us be stable (unsaved but felt as though I was because I had never heard of repentance. I lived how I wanted!)! Then I cried myself to sleep. Days later, God saved my soul because “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21 KJV!
Struggle with the thinking that I have to be perfect or God turns his face from me. Have medical and medical related issues that it seems God is not hearing even 1 of my prayers.
Your prayers are answered upon His (Christ) holiness and God's will. If you are completely honest with me and yourself, if our prayers were based solely upon our holiness, none of our prayers would be answered. He answers our prayers not because of who we are but because of who He is. Lastly, another factor to consider is that is answering it and in our best interest? Of course, we may think it always is, but God knows better because sees the entire picture, we don't. As I have grown, I am so thankful that He didn't answer some of my prayers or allowed me to have what I wanted. When He showed me later why He didn't, I'm so deeply grateful. In one case, I would have received emotional wounds that would have never healed.
Prayer is about our loving connection & relationship with God our maker, and it transforms us. But if you just want “stuff” then use the law of attraction which works for saints and sinners alike.

Even so far as detailing embarrassing events that lend to its own credibility. You can't scientifically prove a historical event, you have to trust eye witness testimony as it is reliable or not. If you read the gospels they weren't written as mythology they're written as historical narrative, telling and detailing events and sayings from the life of Jesus Christ. Even so far as detailing embarrassing events that lend to its own credibility.
Find me proof that the universe is eternal and had no beginning, find me proof that there are other universes that could lend a shred of credibility to the multiverse theory, find me anything that makes you think something as massive as the universe much less that that find me an instance of a singular atom popping into existence out of nothing, out of literal nothingness and maybe you'll be on track to disproving a deity exist.
What claims do you say are outrageous that we make? It's far more likely that you haven't looked into the in depth answers we offer.

-Bible Prophecy: Bc there’s nothing like learning something wildly specific and/or nearly impossible, written abt 2,400-3,000 yrs ago (sometimes by more than 1 person) came to pass and can be verified. Yes, there are many ancient prophecies that cannot be proven to have been written BEFORE they came to pass. But there are many which have come to pass in the last 80 years and are continuing to happen before our eyes! And the few of us weirdos who aren’t bashful about the fact our Bible tells the future are lovin it!
- The case for Jesus of Nazareth’s life, ministry, crucifixion by the Roman’s in Jerusalem (there is consensus among even secular scholars all of this happened)
- The case for Jesus’s resurrection, and the subsequent ministries, lives (and deaths) of his disciples after Jesus’s reported resurrection and ascension.
- You will also discover all of the subjects above meet at a compelling & fascinating intersection!
