I almost had my toe amputated as I was told to do so by my doctor.
Sever frostbite after walking for miles in the snow. My toe was completely black and so painful that the slightest touch would feel like lightning bolts.
My doctor after examining it told me they will need to amputate. Mostly to save me from the pain.
    I said no.
The fact that I can feel pain means the toe is still alive. For the next few months I had it open to the air as much as possible (boss didn’t like that but I was keeping it under my desk) and when I got home I bathed it in salt warm water for scrubbing. And changed my diet to include lots of tomatoes to help with blood circulation.
After about half a year it got better and the black skin started to peal off to reveal normal skin underneath

Diabetic ulcers, especially when the infection has reached the bone is a major reason for toe amputations. Often the wound is on the underside of the toe...not visible from this camera angle.
The ulcer is caused by "hot spots" and become impossible to cure, so in order to save the foot, the toe is sacrificed. Diabetes is the unspoken cancer.

@@MrBilld75 Interesting indeed. Many doctors and scientists of the passed hypothesized that cancer is caused by highly pleomorphic microbes (bacteria, virus, fungus, parasite) .. through a slightly different infectious mechanism known as intracellular inoculations.
Many things have to take place before this kind of infection can occur, however. Weak immune system, nutritional malnourishment, hormonal imbalance, toxin buildup ... this is basically a description of a diabetic.. who are also known to be at higher risk of developing cancer.

I have a full metitarcel amputation of my left foot, happened a few years ago because of a motorcycle accident.
I've been the only one I've seen through out my treatment that wasn't a diabetic and older.
Sure changed my life, it ain't no joke.
I hope one day they have the technology to get me a foot transplant. That would be frickin awsome 😅.
I spent 35 days in the hospital initially and am now at 8 surgeries..
At first it was just amputation of the big toe, then half the one next to it, then after 2 years a bone infection caused me to get the full metitarcel amputation.
I got the choice to either do below the knee amputation or full met, I obviously chose this for now but alot of days I debate if its worth just going below the knee. (Whts left of) my foot and ankle hurt alot, no more prolonged standing or walking, no crazy lifting, it's been impossible to find shoes that work, my balance is obviously off (I use to take pride in my balance)..sucks.
Somedays I wonder if it would be better if I just went a got the lower leg amputated..
Anyways, I've been through this and the girl in the video definitely doesnt look like shes getting her toes amputated.. necrosis is very noticeable and I sure wasnt smiling when they told me they had to cut my dam toes off😅

This is insane!! She is truly excited about this?? I was petrified that I was going to lose my right Great toe because I am a diabetic and had an ulcer on my toe and had exposed bone...it took 5 months regularly seeing a wound care specialist to get it healed.. it was a whole ordeal

She just had body dysphoria, the toes were fine and now she's living a long and happy life.
