  • Here are all of my purchases from the past 8-12 months or so. I picked up a bunch of coins, especially the US type coins, from The Happy Coin, a local coin shop that I've worked at for a long time. Some of the other ones were bought off of eBay from a variety of sellers, including one batch that was a lot at a time. I'm still far away from completing my sets but getting closer every month! Let me know how you think I did!

    Really cool. My Dansco 7070 is my favorite album. I have recently "completed" the album and posted a video. Of course the type set is never really completed. Plenty of opportunity to upgrade. Thanks for posting.

    Hi. Christian , I enjoy watching you build your collection. I have collected Type US coins most of my life. Concentrating on it more at times but never forgetting it. Later Error coins, off and on some type coin errors. I started my Type set as a Boy Scout working on the merit badge. Been a while. The 1950’s, I always loved the early designs, especially 1795 coins , much more then the modern computer designs. Take care, Happy New Year Bill

      That is great to hear! Really like the affinity for 1795 coins... cool to have that type of specialization and appreciation! You too - have a great 2021.

    Wow. Your US Type set album is looking great. With the great looking coins it's going to be a high $ album. The box housing your world collection is awesome. Good luck.

    Neat additions to your collection! I enjoy the world coin designs especially if they are early 1900's and 1800's :) GL & HH

    Great details and condition of the coins in your type set! I’m also starting to appreciate World coins and it’s cool to see coins from the lesser known countries

    George V, depictured on the 10 cent Strait Settlement coin, was also Emperor of India (like his grandmother and father before and his son thereafter). In 1947 India became independent and the "Emp Ind" disapears from the British coinage.

    That’s a cool type set of US coins. I’m working on the same Dansco album. My last addition was a nice 1875S twenty cent piece. I also added the final half dime that I was missing. I’ll look forward to seeing your progress in the future.

      @TreasureTownCoins  3 роки тому

      Thanks! I purchased a collection and the box was hand crafted by the grandfather of the person who sold it to me (they were a good friend of mine). One of the coolest displays I've ever seen, plus it's a nice way to remember the person who created it!

    can someone explain to me why we made a half cent ive never heard of a half cent

    • @Michael-Philip
      @Michael-Philip 3 роки тому

      a half cent could buy alot more back in 1835, the half cent was about the size of a quarter.. Great Britain also had a half penny and that was larger than the half cent.
