When saw the introduction to Christopher Pike it basically says the birth of James Tiberius Kirk. Pike is the precursor to Kirk as you see where Kirk gets the wit charm, by modeling it after his former Captain. The trailer was incredible and Anson Mount was just natural in the role of Christoper Pike.

Something feels wrong, the panel were very quiet, like they were scared to talk. I think as a new show, they need to move on and stop pandering to online comment and just enjoy making the show. Life is too short
yeah it's weird that there's no applause at some points that are applause worthy, was the hall like... not very full, I don't get it. Also sometimes the way things are miced effects the perspective. Discovery is a show I want to love so much I just can't get into it for some reason, at least yet, I'm gonna rewatch it. It just doesn't make me think about the world in the way that others have made me think. Hope the show is successful for sure though
I think you have hit the nail on the head.Totally right. I doesn't make me feel great about the future. Voyager was alone, still positive. DS9 was darker, but still had a warm feeling. TNG is a classic. Even ENT had a family feel. I think the actors on DIS are being let down by the writers, show runners and the designers. Star Trek IS Star Trek. Ignore your fans and you will fail. I don't want that to happen. SHOW RUNNERS if you are not fans of the show, get off the starship!

This IS the press room. They're holding up their hands to ask questions, not lining up at a microphone. Some identify their media representation when they ask questions. It's a small room... the room they've been using for press questions. Look at other press room videos. THIS IS THE PRESS ROOM. This is not Hall H.
