These things are worked out ahead of time. If the interviewees or producers don't ok something or set it up beforehand he can't really ask it. He's supposed to have input if course but within the limits of what those two parties allow. In this case it sounds like everything was totally scripted. I have no respect for Fallon but it's possible he just like they wanted him to just stick to catch phrase BS to a level even he found uncomfortable and pathetic.

With someone this young, it is concerning, especially because he could end up with damage that requires surgery to repair. Some of the raspiness could also be attributed to other factors but yeah, he sounds just like Jojo Siwa and her voice is very damaged
