- G'day folks. In this episode I am looking at my discrimination settings on the Minelab Equinox 900 to avoid as much of the junk as I can in a site full of trashy targets. Some successes and some not so successful finds is the reality of metal detecting these kinds of sites.

some one gave up got my 900 for $750. in awesome shape. hardly used. with the 11" and 6" coil. sell my nox 700 and vanquish 340. get enough $$$ for the 15". coil. 👍👍👍
Oops, wrong button, Not you! Me!.. I think that spring loaded buckle might be a clamp type buckle. Great hunt Andrew, thanks Mate, Cheers!

Always a great challenge to find the good stuff amongst the plip plop of a super trashy site Andrew.I like the buckle button and the cricket buckle is cool,but as often happens,the centre piece is missing.Another great video and catch you on the next one.

Gday Jim. The cricket buckle can go into the pool room. When you jump into those trashy sites it is a lucky dip. Some rubbish but there are little bits of treasure every now and then. Hope you had a good one too 😁👍

G'day Andrew, it may have been a trashy site, but with those sort of finds, I don't think I would want to walk away from it! I'd be in seventh heaven with that variety, and it's great when you start to recognise the better sounds within the mishmash of responses, and I know I feel pretty good about myself, when Ive hit a good target, just by listening. Loved the buckle button. The scratches on that first lead disc almost looked like a sail on a ship,

YAY another CBK , the lead disc thingy at 18:22 when you were turning it around on your knee, i kept seeing different pictures, bamboo and ships, ocean, forest and fighter jet's, not sure about that last one! where in my head did that come from? Anyhoo some nice find's but no tokens for you cause they are for Mish, cheers from Warragul

How about the head off an old watering can. We used one to "shower" in the creek. I like the tips on the 900, I bought a 5x10 Coiltek. It seems to sort the trash better. Great clip.

Just got my equinox 900 out 3 beaches and no finds. Does it matter if I wear head phones or not?
Congrats on the 900. I don’t usually wear headphones. I will though if I am by the sea, a busy road or it is very windy or in a public place where I don’t want people to hear what I am doing. The choice is yours. Good luck 😁👍

How come my 900 does not have the labels under the modes identifying what they are. Is it a sticker?
It is a screen protector that you have to put on. Should be in the little book that came with the unit or you can get them from a Minelab dealer much like Miners Den 😁👍
