I really enjoy your videos! I also have a soon to be 6th grader and a soon to be 8th grader. I feel like after homeschooling for 8 years now and delving into like every curriculum known to man, I made some important decisions for next year. I am not overwhelming my kids with tons of workbooks and curriculum. I'm keeping it simple. Going back to Masterbooks Language Arts for my 6th grader which is all inclusive of reading, spelling, vocabulary, grammar. Spending time mastering this one curriculum. Rather than pulling out tons of curriculum for Language Arts. I am currently using Teaching Textbooks for Math but I'm curious about CTC. So, hope to see you update how you like it. My motto next year is to have a less stressful year! The world is already stressing us enough. ❤ God Bless you.

We switched to Saxon 5/4 and we are loving it so far.

Sounds like you have a solid plan for math. I like paper and pencil for math. It always helps me to take things step by step on paper (plus it's easier to go back and find where the mistake is if something is incorrect).

I totally outsource our math to online. It makes our lives so much easier and has great tutoring options.
We tried for a while. For right now she needs the one on one.

We love easy peasy math!!! We’ve not tried CTC math!!! We nearly did Saxon for my twin son but we went with Singapore math!!!

I've heard good things about the effectiveness of Saxon math. Ooof that is a massive book though lol! 😆 I guess 6th grade things start picking up more though and more concepts to master before HS.
We have been through several math curriculums and this by far has made the difference for my granddaughter. I always shied away from it because it felt overwhelming. We just take it one day at a time and trust the process. I do tweak it to fit our needs.
