Great job Wayne! 👏👍💪 I always get better wood/supplies at HD over Lowes 😆 but it really depends where you live and the supply chain for wood. PS- whys Eric wanna sleep in there by Christmas??? There's way too much work to be done in that back with electrical, plumbing etc 🤦♂️ Tell him to sleep in the front of the bus 😆
Youall need a decent kreg jig that clamps. 3/4 inch maple veneer plywood and you can frame/build 95% of everything in that bus and paint or stain it. Like the wheel wells. Rip ply, pocket screw together and pocket screw to floor.
Im loving watching this build! I've pulled all the seats out of my youkon and learning everything I need to know from you to do my little build! I'm coming to the rtr for the first time! Hope I get to put eyes on the bus and meet you in person!
Show Eric how to pick out clean lumber. Why did he piece the horizontal line under each window instead of one long piece to be supported by the lower uprights? That’s a mistake IMO.
The build is looking good Wayne. I watch Eric's video's too. Your right about Home Depot wood. You would think by now they would have stepped up to a better supplier as it's been this way for over 20 years IMHO. Now we all know how Eric likes to climb on the roof of his RV's. Have you considered utilizing one of the roof hatches for access to an observation deck. Just saying having an inside doorway would save having to climb a ladder... You guys have fun and keep the videos flowing!
With the amount of flexing and pivoting given the length and structural design of busses, I have to wonder how much of these seams and joints are going to survive over the years.
@rvprepperwayne glad you took thermal expansion, flexing, anchoring and gaps in mind. Metal and wood expand at different rates and will place stress on screws that aren't grommeted.
@@livinincaliforniawahwahwah… I built a van almost 4 years ago with wood and extruded aluminum framing, travel in all different climates and no issues. It’ll be fine for what it’s being built for. 😢

@@rvprepperwayne Wayne, Most all R/V'S have a door emergency exit toward the back of the rig. I sure wouldn't count on getting thru a small window to save my life. I know it's Eric's bus, but I would advise him to keep one of the emergency door exit's. The bus is looking good.

I enjoy watching you guys and you’re somewhat lack of carpentry skills. I just am waiting for when it gets done and Eric starts driving down the road and twisting that praying back-and-forth that he might find out that two screws on the ceiling to hold the wood I don’t think we’ll be enough. It would be better off to let a professional do the walls and he do something else. That is my two cents.
I’m a fan or Eric’s and I’m not an expert ( have heard an Expert is a former drip under pressure) but I would to see how much the Bus weighed and then again when the remodel the is completed . I love the Videos.
You guys need to sit down and think of what you need for the build. 120 power box. 12 volt fuse block. If you start gathering what you need now, it won't slow you down.
Does anybody know if Wayne ever worked security at outdoor venues in PCB ? If so, I’m pretty sure we met him once years back - he’s a genuinely nice dude 👍👍👍
Nice that eric bought a pocket jig. But Unfortunately, alot of that framing needs to be redone. Those cobbled together bits and pieces, will not work or hold up under load. Looks like double work to me. Good Luck...
Please tell me the only way out isn’t the front door. It appears the emergency door will be covered. Bad enough, he’ll fail an inspection in any state that requires one. Worse, there’s going to be propane in the kitchen and the bed’s in the back. It’s a recipe for disaster.
@@GrillMarksBud-S-n-P He could do that now if needed. I heard the comment as to finish the bed area so he could sleep in it. And that would require insulation and heat. Otherwise just sleep in it as is. Get up and go to work. I don't see insulation and heat by X-Mas
Lots of work. Nice to see what it takes for this build.

Looking good !!
Quality of wood is based upon the store’s most recent shipment. The Big Box Stores pull from wholesalers based upon price/1000 bf (board feet).
Man, that thing needs a slide-out for that TV.
Good job!
Lowe’s and Home Depot use the same wood distribution
Awesome video

Eric is smiling because he’s using and screwing over Wayne once again.
Sweet looks great
I'd cover that roof hatch with an atic pull-down steps to access the Sun/ Polar deck/ Nascar viewing
Platform. More security than an outside ladder.
There will be no room for walking on the roof.

I suggest using the ceiling lights off a boat, using a 12 volt bulb & 110 volt bulb
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep that in mind.

Suggest leaving 1 rear side emergency door open , in case of a fire up front
The rear window is an emergency exit

Need help working on that invoice to give tater?
Why not use space by wheel wells for storage or Inverter placements

I would have put the toilet at the emergency door so you could access it from outside!!! Just my 2 cents!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Yes , any thing is better than Blocking Emergency Doors ! I don't like blocking doors ! Very Stupid ! Heed my Warning !
They're putting a cat litter box by the emergency exit for quick disposal. Last I heard. Plus the toilet will be flushable into a black tank.
@@GrillMarksBud-S-n-P Is a kitty litter disposal more important than a possible Life Saving Exit Door ?
@@markeast9221 I'm not saying that but there is a second door so who knows on the opposite side.
Every person with any sense of self preservation, needs the ability to leap free to the out doors while pinching a loaf. This could happen to you.
