I was trying to keep this one short, But I would like to add Determinate (Bush) varieties require little or no staking of the plant I do not remove the side shoots from these as much, only when I feel airflow is being compromised. Indeterminate varieties develop into vines that never top off and continue producing until killed by frost these get pruned to improve airflow and keeps the plant growing tidy for and easy harvest.

Don’t prune side shoots if you have determinate tomatoes. Would only recommend for indeterminate tomatoes

Great comment👍 I'm growing Tigerella is a cordon variety (indeterminate) of tomato and therefore grows best if it is pruned. and we need airflow in the polytunnel. However I do not prune my Bush tomatoes (determinate) I will have to address this and do a full tomato growing video (longer) I think.

🤦🏼‍♀️ I think I’m on,y growing bush types next year 😅😅. Mine by late summer were taking over, but with all the slugs eating mine this year I’ll be lucky to get any. Great update Glen, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦

Hi Ali, Could be a smart move, bush types normally crop really heavy 🙏🙏👍👍🌱🌱
