Why we start with the Basmalah: the Soorahs of the Qur’an begin with it, and also the letters of the Prophets e.g. the letters of Rasool Allah (s) to the other leaders (so we are following the Qur’an and Sunnah); the Sahabah would begin their letters with it and the Salaf would begin their books with it; by beginning with His name, we seek barakah and help from Allah (swt)
Bismillah ~ with the Name of Allah (swt) - the Light, Illumination, and Blessings of Almighty Merciful Allah, our Sole Protector, and Sustainer! Specifically, in this Time of enormous world impact, we are reminded to turn, Faithfully, to Allah (swt) for Protection of ourselves, and family, against the evil of the Satanic minds, and their Agents. May Allah (swt) grant Us forgiveness, and Jannah Firdaus. Allahuakbar!

abbreviation, basmalah = bismillahi rohmanirrohim, hamdalah/tahmid = alhamdulillahi robbil'alamin, tasbih = subhanalloh, tahlil = la illaha illalloh... etc wallohu'alam
